I was thinking about polishing my Knives but there is so much in it that,..... I don't know now, thining the finger Stones, Slurry for this and for that, you are very knowledgeable polisher, now I value more when I see a polished knife, thank you very much 🙏
Timbo437 thank you so much! If you have any suggestions for videos let me know! I will cover freehand and fixed angle sharpening, knife reviews/unboxing, sharpening stones and if you guys want something specific I will try my best to do it ASAP. As long as I have the capability to do the video I’ll do it. Thanks again! -Mike
paddys potato peelers thank you! Yes this video is more for the traditional Japanese kitchen knife owner. There are only a few of these videos on TH-cam so I thought I would try to help by adding one more. Thanks again for watching! -Mike
Not a lot of pressure usually. The stones will give you feedback and you’ll feel them grab if they go dry or you press too hard. You shouldn’t have to press too hard to get a good finish though. Maybe as much or a little more than taking a pulse. It’s hard to put it into words but you’ll get a feel for it when you do it.
Great Video and that polish is BEAUTIFUL! did you use uchigumori? Very informative. Please make more. * also fix the spelling "Fingerstomes" to "Fingerstones"
Thanks for watching! I fixed the spelling lol thanks for catching that. And yes I did use Uchigumori. I'm glad you liked it and I'll definitely make more.
Patricia Johnson the title of the video tells us why we are on the video, And this is one of my first videos. I have since changed my style of filming to do what you’re saying. Thanks for the feedback though.

How hard are you pressing throughout it on the first part?
