@@judahgrayson3275 I know right. UK's economy is nearing 3x the size of Russia's economy. Russia has full conscription and is spending around 30% of its spending on the military.
UK is spending around 2.1%, and no conscription. If the UK mobilised and spent 5% of GDP with limited conscription of 18-21, it would wipe the floor with Russia if it entered Ukraine (obviously conventionally with no nuclear weapons involved).
I reckon even if 30k British troops entered Ukraine, supported by the RAF, it could create a spearhead that would turn the tide of the war in Ukraine, and quite quickly.

If we engage Russia in war, what exactly are we going to fight for? This isn't a game. For the sake of mankind, put everything else aside, think about what we're doing. Whether Russian, British, whatever nationality, we need to be better than this for our children. We've come so far as a civilization. We can lose all the progress we've made in the blink of an eye. This is foolish and a waste of recourse and life. I don't see any of this as moral nor intelligent on all parts.

Because you fail to understand what this war is about, what this evil RuZzian Empire is all about (Hint: It was never about global socialism. It's about Russky Mir, "Russian World" in English. Simply, Britain had an Empire, France had an Empire, & Russia had an Empire. The key difference being that England & France have evolved to understand the evil of their greedy & selfish ambitions & therefore don't look backwards. Russia has not & isn't morally enlightened enough to do so!). So no, this isn't a game. In fact, it's WWIII by any other name. And the parallels with WWII are both striking & crystal clear, even if you either fail to see & understand this or just want to wishfully jam your head up your arse & live in denial. After all, it IS just a river in Egypt.😏
If you want to live in peaceful slavery, rest assured that it will be as miserable as the peace will be temporary. There's always another war to start & win using your blood to do it, because their ambitions to world conquest don't simply end at their borders, no matter how great they expand them & how many of their subjects' corpses it takes to keep on doing it to the bitter end.
      Wake up & taste it!🙄
Just because you are a loving & peaceful person doesn't stop murderously ambitous psychopathic Gangsters, THUGS, from their laser-focused ambition & greed to take over & control the entire world & do with it as they see fit. At EVERYBODY ELSE'S EXPENSE.
You don't appease bullies, & these types in RuZzia, China, North Korea & Iran are the absolute worst kinds. Fortunately, the bigger the bully, the bigger the coward. The only thing they understand is force; failure to respond in kind means that the victims have granted them license to enslave them. But they can't enjoy all the riches & power that they seek if they're dead, so only the credible threat of their death or destruction of their Gangster Empires will put their ambitions in check. You have to be able to threaten THEIR LIVES in order to stop them. Quite simply, because the only lives they value are their own!
People can whine all they like about Western injustice & inequality & moral hypocrisy. And they're entirely right as surely as they have the right to do so. But what the Empires of these bullies are like UTTERLY ECLIPSE these complaints which are laughably insignificant by comparison to the tyranny these Autocratic Gangster Regimes represent.
Your parents & grandparents needed to be better than this for their children & grandchildren to protect us from the likes of these evil men, & by standing up to Hitler & Tojo & Mussolini & Stalin, THEY WERE. FOR YOU. FOR ALL OF US IN LIVING IN FREE & DEMOCRATIC COUNTRIES, GOVERNED BY THE RULE OF LAW & NOT THE RULE OF THE JUNGLE!
Freedom isn't something that exists in a vacuum. It's not something that, once obtained, has some sort of eternal life all its own that we can just freeload off of forever without it ever being threatened ever again.🤪🤤🤤🤤
It must be protected jealously, lest the world slips backwards for both our children & ourselves. And that means that it has to be fought for AS NECESSARY WHEN NECESSARY.
And guess what? IT'S OUR TURN! WHAAAAH!😭😭😭😭🙄
WE need to be better than WE are RIGHT NOW, or else the world becomes a darker place than it's already slipping into.
Putting everything aside, as you so cowardly put it, will be the moral failure of our generation, with YOU & cowards like you as the architects of the destruction & loss of the insufficient freedoms & justice that we enjoy right this very moment!🧐
Sorry, you're only speaking for your own naïve & selfish cowardice. Because by putting "everything else aside", it means leaving only that which isn't worth living under slavery for!
You may be content with merely existing. I, on the other hand, want to LIVE!😐

      Why?
      It’s not our fight..
      This has been set up..
      Since 2014 ..
You really wish to go head to head with Russia ?
You personally or send those military types that once get messed up, don’t get looked after and become homeless ?
Which boots are you actually talking about..
The ones in Ukraine that wear Swastikas on their uniform ? That’s the prized Azov regiment .
The ones that have been killing the ethnic Russians in Donbas regions since before 2014.
The pretend Minsk agreement that happened then when Ukraine agreed to stop killing the ethnic Russians of Donbas but carried out killing civilians for 8 years .
The USA funded bio labs we should fight for in Ukraine .
Or now that most of the land and contracts have been given to USA companies to re build .. black Rock
We should fight for the USA to own Ukraine ?
As 2/3rds of Ukraine is untouched , so not invaded, the only area Russia moved into , was/ is where Russians live ..
In 2 years all the might of NATO all the money has not removed the Russians from Donbas Regions .
Dam NATO can’t even stop the Houthis , the Red Sea is not open ..
Zelensky is now not the legitimate leader of Ukraine .. he cancelled elections, and his term was up couple weeks ago ., Making him not legitimate , and can’t speak for the country .. those kind of ppl were called dictators ..
NATO moved in in 2014 and has/had 8 bases there .. ( it’s on their web site)
CIA. Admits that they have 12 operational bases in Ukraine ..
Not offices .. operational , blowing up bridges paying people to attack Moscow that kind of thing .
Around 18 million Ukraines have left so they didn’t get drafted ..
There is not enough man power to fight any longer ..
Not forgetting that a peace agreement had already been negotiated between Ukraine and Russia in April 2022.. signed and needed the last signatures ..
Till Boris bodge job Johnson went over and promised Zelensky the world .. source the Ukraine official who initialled the document .
So it was over . Until NATO went for blood..
Then they blew up the pipelines
      And still
Russia in the world stage carrying on, with Brics nations. Meeting in St Petersburg right now..
      Making deals , economy growing
Military now supposes USA 3-1 as Russia been on the job of building its resources for 2 years
Training its VOLUNTEERS average 1,500 weekly more since the attack in Moscow ..
Manufacturing its weapons drones and missiles .
      Whilst NATO
ALL hot air and no substance ..
But Zelensky now has several houses around the world. Couple of yatch s high end cars
      Before the war
Nothing .. in his bank account .
      Shell companies abound
And the “” aid and help never got to where it was needed.
But you want others to fight for that BS
On you go nothing stopping you putting your body where your mouth is .
You do realise that 2 or 3 misfiles and U.K. comes to a halt. And no need to be nuclear either ..
But you are trained well by the media to respond in this way.
Believing everything and researching nothing .
      Stay safe .

Not sure when they were all withdrawn but nowadays there is an ordnance depot but no British conventional or nuke forces in Germany. US forces in Germany are down to a minimum nowadays also. He may still be on the reserve list so it's not impossible should he be required.
Following university, Heappey attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.[5] On 7 August 2004, he was commissioned in the British Army as a second lieutenant with seniority in that rank from 11 August 2001.[6] As a university graduate, he was immediately promoted to lieutenant on 7 August 2004 with seniority from 11 August 2003.[6] He was promoted to captain on 7 February 2007.[7] Having attended Staff College, he was promoted to major on 31 July 2012.[8]
Heappey served as an officer in the Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment and then The Rifles, the county regiment for Somerset, in Kabul in 2005, Northern Ireland in 2006, Basra in 2007 and Sangin in Helmand Province in 2009.[9] He also served in Kenya, and in 2011 he was posted to the Ministry of Defence in London,[10] where he worked as executive officer on the General Staff.[11] He retired from the British Army on 2 November 2012 with the rank of major.[12]
After leaving the British Army, he worked as a researcher for the Conservative MP for North Somerset, Liam Fox.[11]

    - Ukraine counteroffensive last year failed for the following reasons
    * Lack of air defense at the frontline
    * Lack of anti-drone defense system
    * Lack of better and sufficient fighter jets
No brigade level of training can liberate Russian occupied lands without proper tools. If Russia notices troop concentrations, they lob the missiles. This ex minister can talk as much but without having right defensive and offensive tools to counter Russia military Arsenal's. Liberating Russian occupied territories is a tough nail to crack. This minister somehow forgets that the nature of warfare has changed. The glaring example is tanks have been tendered obsolete due to advent of kamikaze drones. So, any tank without active anti-drone defense is lurking towards a suicidal adventure.
