HAppy Holidays My Guy!! I fixed it!!! DDJ SX was running slow on the left side..... It wasn"t recieving a proper ground. Thank for the all the solution!!!🥳🥳
Dude. This has to be the first time I’ve ever typed an issue into Google and it came up with a video of my exact problem. Then the fox actually worked! Holy shit haha Chz!
Thank you for putting the clip up...I have the ddj-sx2, and my left jog wheel suddenly had an issue (I don't scratch much, and it has only had 20 hours of light home use)...The speed at which the jog wheel moves the track marker through the tune, has suddenly become very slow, although it seems to work without any glitching or other issues. It is just very slow, so spinning the jog wheel 40 times only moves the track marker about 4 beats, where as the right side jog wheel is normal, and one turn of the jog wheel moves the track marker about 4 beats...It happened before, I did a reset (holding shift + deck1 button while powering the unit on), and it seemed to cure it. This time however nothing cures it, I have even updated the firmware (even though I was already on the latest version), but still no joy...I think it will be going back to the shop !!!
Thank you it worked! I also hear that if you dropped water near by that messed up the wheel. Also they said to 'pop off' the wheel and clean inside to fix the problem.
Thank you so much for sharing this. The fix worked for me too, and I had tried just about everything else. This happened to me for the first time just a little while ago while I was experimenting with some scratching. I have the two year extended warranty, but I sure didn't want the hassle of driving my controller 50 miles to the shop then having to return to get it later...etc, etc. Fortunately this glitch isn't a show killer, but a platter not responding to touch is much more bothersome than just not being able to scratch. So it's definitely something that has to be fixed, but my point is my Roland DJ-808 had an occasional platter freeze issue where it would act like it was being touched when it wasn't. When that occurs It screeches things to a halt and makes the deck unusable if it persists. I'm just a bedroom/streaming DJ, but I sure hate having professional grade equipment that can't be trusted for a professional gig. I also hate having equipment damage my reputation. I make plenty of mistakes, I don't need equipment helping, lol.
Nice job. I'm having trouble with my DDJ 800 after I checked it on a flight. I think they beat the crap out of it in baggage handling. Just the right side platter is sticking now.
I'm going to try this. The crazy thing is when I use deck 3 it works fine. First I just started flipping doubles and using it that way to get through gigs but then I found out that 3 works fine so I have just been using 3 and 2 and it works good. But thanks for this I'm going to try it out.
I'ma try this. I have Gemini 4 Channel Controller. I've had it for some years. My left wheel messed up a year ago now my right messed up too. It confused me. Was it a drink, dust, or something inside. Ima try this. Thanks
i just struggled with this issue after switching computers. turns out i needed to plug the computer into another outlet/circuit and ground myself by touching the unit. it seems these units are extremely sensitive to electricity.
Wow 😮 👏🏾👏🏾 well I’ll be damned that simple press down worked, I never would of tried that, I Own you a drink 🥃🙏🏾 hopefully that’s a long term fix this controller werent cheap I had it in The box for about 3 years, just hooked it up, long story, kids, previous health problem, work stress , man cave build delay, any big thanks man
Mine also has the same problem!! Yuh trick kinda works but mine is still doesn't response coz when you hold on the platter.. The sing still continues to play as if no grounds yet am always wearing rubber soled shoe
The problem that you are having isn't new. I ran into the same issue on two different brand new Mixtrack Plantinum Plantinum controllers, except it was the opposite platter that had the problem. Numark or Serato had no answer, so I returned them.
I'm presently getting a slight non-responsiveness on the same controller on the left. For the most part it works but sometimes it don't hold when fingers are on
my guy, im getting the exact same issues on a roland dj202. searching the serato forums, it appears that this issue occurs cross platform brands. mostly lh deck wtf , i will try your fix-regards
This is a known issue and typically comes from externally connected devices (you can test this yourself by either disconnecting the audio outputs, or the power cord for your laptop). It’s noted it in the user manual. When I bought my SX 3 and used it for the first time I ran into the same exact issue. In a nutshell, I realized that the power cable to the speaker I was using had a 2 prong plug (no ground). When I unplugged the speaker, the controller worked fine. When I used a 3 prong plug, the controller worked as well. Ultimately the issue is with the controller because I don’t have this issue with my Denon controller. This can be a problem especially if you work in a location / venue that has a piece of equipment or cable that isn’t grounded.

Thanks! Much better after that!
Any idea what to do if the platter LEDs aren’t spinning when a track is playing?

The fader went not even in a month
That seems like a hardware problem bro.
