How weird is this. I was there a week and half ago following recommendations from another TH-camr. Very underrated city. I was so impressed with all there was to see
The cat looked impressed with your GoPro! Very moody day in Hull, certainly looks very atmospheric in the fog! You certainly found all the best architecture peppered amongst some of the more modern places. Ah year of the dragon being celebrated too! Love the small window and the art gallery. Hull looks to be faring better than most on the high street too 👍
Its a nice place...we missed out on lots of places...might have to go back to do a part 2...we walked passed the cat and were 50yds down the road and i thought why didnt i film the cat?...so i went back...glad i did.
Hi guys ..new experience seeing you in the city..and I agree Hull looks good .. I love the architecture and I love the art gallery that you visited..so thank you once again ..enjoy the rest of your week 😊
Nice one Stephen. Even on a foggy day looks a fascinating place. I don’t think I’ve ever been to Hull. Cousin lives in Beverley which is a lovely little place but we didn’t make it to Hull. Have a good rest of the week mate.
Your filming technique is really impressive. Very professional. Well done for that Steven. Certainly makes for enjoyable watching. Much enjoyed watching. Thanks Steven and Karen. Hope you both enjoyed your stay up there is Hull.
Hi loved this video. The cat was great. Loved the misty start gave a wonderful atmosphere. We have only visited Hull once for a gig and didnt get chance to look around but after watching this we must go back again. The small window was unusual. There were some fantastic buildings and we love the waterfront. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️
Who knew Hull had as much nice architecture. I went to Hull in 1990 for a university interview and left feeling that it was a pretty grim place. Clearly, there has been lots of investment since I last visited. Thanks for the tour. Great video, Steve and Karen. I loved the atmosphere with the misty shots.
Thanks Andy...it's a great city..i think a lot was done a few years ago when it was the city of culture....we missed out lots of places that were going through a facelift like the Queens Gardens and maritime museum...hope to go back for another visit to see what we missed later in the year
Somewhere I've never been. And in the Guiness Book of Records, no doubt for the window. It is nice to explore towns around the country. Thanks for sharing, Steven.
I've not heard of this place but it looks so nice. Loved the mist near the sea, so atmospheric and sounds good with all of the museums and the dancing dragon and Englands smallest window ! 😃 ~ Anna 👍
I've sailed from there a couple of times, and stayed just out of the city to tour east Yorkshire, but never really looked around. Those of us who are older have grown up in a time of grim industrial cities, but how things have changed in recent years. We found that last year when we stayed near Whitehaven, and found a lovely marina town with its old image long-since vanished. The misty scenes in your film Steve, created an atmosphere of expectation of what was to be revealed.
Thanks Michael....that's a lovely comment...we also love Whitehaven and also Maryport...once so run down they were the poorest towns in the country....things have certainly changed...i watched a video earlier this week from Sussex and the place was a S**thole...the north has certainly upped it's game...as for Hull i think the City of Culture a few years back helped it out so much...Viva the North
Well that window would've almost avoided the window tax back in the day........ It's funny how lots of these port/harbour cities all look similar. Getting Liverpool vibes off this....
I like the ambience with the mist. I've never been here, or Hull for that matter. I do enjoy a city walk from time to time. Thanks Steve. Have a good week.
Great to see you both in Hull steve. It's one of my favorites too. My dad grew up in Barton and we were up there each year - watched the bridge being built. And latterly Paul and I dossed behind the King William when it was empty - we were hiking the estuary. Well, it did look grand. Mark
Good evening Steven & Karen and this film has a very atmospheric misty start which was truly cineramatic. Nice to see the shopping Centre named after you despite the wrong spelling of Steven. Can’t stand people who spell Steven, Stephen! Steven is the correct spelling of the ancient Saxon English. However, I guess you knew that. Yes a lovely film and to receive this so early on in the week is very much appreciated. 👍
Hi Mike...yeah glad i was not christened Stephen, i hate it...i would rather Stefan than Stephen anyday....what's happen to your films?...we are missing our Saturday night giggles...i now go to to bed with a frown on my face....glad you appreciated this cineramatic little film.
At first i thought "oh no"...but i think the fog really added to the scene..we had a cracking little wander around the city...hope to return sometime to see what they have done to the Queens Gardens...cheers.
Hi Steven and Karen, I went to Hull just a couple of weeks ago. Always liked Hull, in fact I went to Uni there. Although it's a shame that a lot of the shops are empty now- even in the arcades. I remember the arcades were full of really cool, indie shops when I was a student. Where to next I wonder...?
A few period dramas have been filmed here in Hull due to our remaining old cobbled streets and buildings, thanks for capturing my hometown so nicely and not putting us Hull folk down, proud to be from this historic city ,everywhere has its bad partx and we're no exception, we have a .ot of good too x
If Hull want's to get money - vote for the Yorkshire Party. Not even seriously but enough to get people in London worried. All Yorkshire- vote for that party till they get worried, Then you can forget it,
I live about an hour from Hull. My father is from Hull. I avoid going there unless it's absolutely necessary. So depressing. Watching local news once, it had been voted worst town in Britain or something so they were interviewing locals in the street. Usually in these circumstances you'd see locals rallying to defend their town. Not in Hull though - everyone they spoke to said "Nah it's crap" Sad. Don't get why it can't reinvent itself like other once-proud places have.
I live in East Riding ..Hull has great areas like the marina and old town it even has great history but there definitely a case of locals wallowing around in self pity blaming the city and not taking any accountability of their own actions… even every regeneration plans are heavily criticised for no reason, however I do think once all it has happened there will be an upwards trajectory.
Looks so mysterious in the myst. I like it how you did the video. It's got a cool vibe.
Thanks Olga...appreciate that.
Thanks for visiting my hometown…you captured the true essence of this great city.
Thanks mate....its a big fave of ours....i would be proud to call it our city.
How weird is this. I was there a week and half ago following recommendations from another TH-camr. Very underrated city. I was so impressed with all there was to see
Hi Susan...we were there last Saturday....we love this city...we missed so much so might have to return soon
That looks like a really nice place to visit 😁
Thanks mate...we really enjoyed our visit here.
Fog!! Reminds me of here! Well, not today, too much snow...but we will see plenty in time!!
Hi Bruce...to be honest, i quite like a foggy day...something about it...cheers for watching mate.

Aww....thanks Guys you really must visit, it's a fantastic city...They say "It's grim up north"..certainly not the case here.

I rather enjoyed this vicarious amble around Hull. So much heritage there, what stories those buildings could tell. Nice one.
Glad you enjoyed it....thanks for watching Tom.
Somewhere I've never been. And in the Guiness Book of Records, no doubt for the window. It is nice to explore towns around the country. Thanks for sharing, Steven.
Thanks Chris..yeah really enjoy visiting these Towns/Cities...they make for a good day out.

Thanks Anna...most people call the city Hull, and not it's full name of Kingston upon Hull...it's a great place with lots to see and do.
Enjoyable, thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
An excellent take on my hometown
Thanks...One of Yorkshires great cities.
Interesting misty place Steve nice to see buddy as I'm down here next week to vlog the deep good stuff guys
Enjoy your trip down mate.

Beautiful town my friend❤ Nice walk tour. Big like❤
Thank you very much!
Hi guys. The fog gives a completely different mood. Nice shots of the fog, even a walk through the city had its charm. Nice sharing. 👍👍
Thanks ...we love a walk around a city.
Some of those locations reminded me of streets of Paris and some old venetian places - cheers
Cheers Andy.....yeah i can see that too.
Great video Steve.
Stunning city and some really quirky architecture. Also really well filmed - very cinematic 👍
Cheers mate....i will take that !!
Changed a lot since I went to uni there 25 years ago 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah ...i think they did a lot when it was the city of Culture

Some great eery pictures of the deep and Princess Quay in the mist. Trinity square would've looked stunning in that fog.

There’s a t in city try using it .
The only thing that’s good about hull is it’s not yet overrun by balaks
