- Aup folks here’s my new accurascales with a couple of cheeky fibs thrown in to the mix to make the video more pleasant.
It’s soo hot this week, it certainly affected filming!
Thanks to the commenters and folk that share these on, they’re intended as light hearted entertainment, some are absolute crackers some a bit more serious. I love the model railways, I love filming them going about their business and I love chatting about them. No one in my house is interested in listening to me chat about them, hence I chat to you guys. Feel free to ask any questions.
The intention of this channel is to come at a different angle from the usual and do my own thing which may or may not be everyone’s cup of tea.
It gets me some peace up here in the loft though so I’ll keep it going. I only have a small fleet as they’re all the new sound fitted models and it’s a new hobby so don’t expect a different loco in each video. Hope you like this one, cheers! Dave

Absolutely mint pairing there Dave! What a great addition to the layout, bugger the timeline, run what you want and these 66s are no joke mate. Great episode once again, can’t wait to see the weathering on these. 😊

Bloody marvellous! Just had a poor afternoon fighting to restore a 3 metre garden parasol. (I won)
Came back inside knackered and dejected and thought, ‘what I need to brighten my day is a new Liberty Junction video’.

Was having similar issues with hornby magnets being too short in general, I took magnets out of 1 coupling an used them to extend another pair. yeah you get 3 mil of silver magnet between them but it works.
Ah I didn’t even think of adding a small magnet between! 👍

Class 66 is a beauty for sure mate, might do some modern stuff again one day but for now, I'm sticking to the old days 😂😂

Your 66s look fantastic. Wrong era for me and so I cannot use them. If your are having problems with KDs when it comes to magnets they do produce an uncoupling tool which can make uncoupling more fun . It resembles a pointed stick ,the type you could poke Richard with if he doesnt get you that 37 . Great vid as always 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🦎🦎🦎
It’s more of a problem of them becoming disconnected whilst running with certain locos but I haven’t really done anything to address it really maybe one day I will it’s lower on the list of what I can be bothered to do lol
Here's Hoping my 37 arrives soon, Just says July. Been 14months waiting... Im sure it will be worth it. Right pair of 66's there Dave, great vid with great shots.. And the weather will cool...

@@doubleodave Yup D6956 green with the full yellow ends. Last of the line up of 37's. been waiting for the class fifty Neptune for even longer. Not now due untill probably December. hope fully again worth the wait. I understand we will be getting the working fan upgrade.

I think you need Aircon, or 2 6" duct fans from the upstairs ceiling, hidden in a cupboard if you got one, and it might stop your balls dragging on the floor when you're up in the loft in the summer. Lol

The 66s aren’t the most interesting locos in the world I’ll admit, but I do really like them good job as they’re everywhere! The Accurascale versions are bloody brilliant, we’ve got the fairly plain DRS version here at Colwich and it fits right in with all the other DRS fleet ( ay get me using the word fleet! anyone would think I’m a propa modeller🤣)
Can’t remember who it was tipped me off about Accurascale having a few locos left on the website a couple of weeks back, but basically I got the last “Evening Star” version….He said that one of his mates didn’t get back to him so I jumped in!
It’s an absolute belter.
I wasn’t going to get another one, 37s & 50s are more up my Strasser - I’ve got a couple of the older Hattons 66s which are great models, but bits just fall off them while they’ve running! - just got to wait for a sound chip for the new loco…
You’ve got a couple or should that be a cracking model there Dave, Ladderman has come up trumps

Hahaha you crack me up watching stuff out of sequence! Sometimes when I’m freestyling the narration I remember like you’d said about Richard running away but if literally comes to be that second whilst I’m bullshitting away and I can’t always remember the specifics🤣 was a good comment, I do wonder if Richard is aware of these little gags, he’s a subscriber believe it or not but he’s just hiding in the shadows ready to pounce on me with a colas 37 and 10 packs of those lovely mgr wagons 😎👍
I agree I much prefer the older models haven’t got a 50 yet, but I’d happily have nothing but 37s if I had to. I really like your layout mate it’s what I would have liked mine to have been. Maybe LJ2 I can do some idea borrowing 👍

Ah, the ever confusing viewer numbers ( almost as bad as ghost subscribers appearing then disappearing)
Usually my update vids do ok (better than the how tos and meet the fleet generally) but this last one is struggling tbh. Dunno if its football or the nicer weather but I do know aummer time generally means less modelling taking place, every club ive ever been a member of sees attendance drop off over the summer.
Any way, proper decent video, i do wonder how you get them special effects 😂

Basically I use a blend or cunning and black magic for the effects 😁
I’ve stopped worrying about the subscriber thing it’s about as random as rolling a dice at times!
I’m seriously considering “end of season one” for now as it’s crackers hot up there and there’s so many bbqs and beers etc I’m starting to struggle for time! 😆

Are you sure that's the genuine Ladderman ? Got a comms mast in my TMD and just spotted a suspiciously familiar bloke in an orange jacket halfway up it. But on closer inspection, mine doesn't have a beer belly.

I've got a Freightliner 66 and mine must have been a prototype too , i mis keyed the function and mine became a Greggs Vegan sausage roll , sounds great and pulls really well but the couplings keep falling out of the meat substitute any advice? Would it be wrong to lightly weather it in Brown sauce? Just around the bogies dont want to over do it ?
Yes mate I’d try using a couple of Greggs Bavarian slices to hold in the couplings at least if they fail there’s a delicious treat waiting for you 👍
On a side note…
The freightliner one is superb too, to be fair I’d struggle to choose a bad one!

The way the England football team have been performing recently it should result in an increased interest in TH-cam railway content (or anything really) so it can't be that affecting your viewer numbers. I've made an assessment of your recent video titles and those with a '?' in them get better viewing numbers on average. Maybe try putting a '?' or '!?' in your titles. 🤔⁉ 🐤🐤🐤 (I'm waiting on a new shipment of gold stars. A little fella said they're on a boat somewhere)

Mrs Dave must be well chuffed with that hidden feature from Accurascale. Stops you spending all the holiday money on toy trains. Just done a binge watch of last two episodes and glad Eddie Lizzard has gone, he was just bigging up his part too much. Book a minor character and next thing they think they are top billing! I dread to think what’s going to happen when the the 2 Laddermans see each other 😳😳😳😳
