I am embarrassed to admit how long I fiddled with this. Then I realized that it is Ottlite that should be embarrassed. I wrote an email to them suggesting that they hire a 7 year old to write their guides. Thanks for this, I will grant that it took an adult helping others by posting this video!. I found that the clock drifts, but I would not touch it out of annoyance avoidance. I just corrected my clock with your assistance. I shall retain the link! Thanks again!

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for the simplified instructions! The darn day of the week being incorrect was making me crazy. I feel silly for not realizing the third click of the S button was the year. In my defense, it was 10am and so I made the false assumption it was switching the time into military format! @@lorindaculpepper4411 If you're stuck on military time (like I was), I had to reset the time while it was in a military time number (like 13 - 23). So, either wait until the afternoon when it's showing an hour number higher than 12, or temporarily set the time to 13-23, then once you're done setting the temporary hour to 13 or higher, press the S button to cycle through the minutes, year, month, and date so it knows you're all done setting the time. THEN, hit the up arrow directly below the S (without touching the S). It should toggle between military and standard time. Once you're sure you have the setting you want, then go through the time setting again so you can set it to the correct time of day.

Hey everyone in his model there is an S and an M button
For some reason in mine is an M button clearly marked but the S button is replaced by a grooved ☀️ picture it took me a moment to realize that the ☀️ wasn’t to adjust the brightness on the screen 🤦🏽‍♀️ but it’s the S button function he mentions on the video.

Thanks, this was driving me nuts!! There is some logic to the method of changing the time, but not for me!!! I'm now on Daylight savings time. I never knew about the wireless charging feature! I really like my lamp, especially the fact that the colour changes regularly on the base. Having the date, time and temperature is a great system, more important than the light!

@arlenezimmerly718 it's been a while, but if your clock is showing 2021 or 2022 ect, it's probably not military time it's the year. They have the year for that the day of the week can show correctly.

Hi. thanks. I like using the Ottlite because of the light quality. It is a lamp, correct?. I don't want or need the date, time, alarm clock, temperature, any of the other indicators, all of which are incorrectly set. It wouldn't bother me too much except when it does. Main problem is: I can't seem to turn the ALARM music off. Every time I turn the Ottlite on, the music plays. So I hit "M" and that stops it..... but only temporarily!! Meanwhile I'm able to fix a few things but only temporarily! Numbers keep blinking,
As a result I'm not using the Ottlite because it's too frustrating.
I'm listening to your instructions but i must have an earlier version. For example, my Ottlite does not have an "S" button for setting Time and Date, or pretty much anything. [there's an X button and an M button; and a * (sun?) button. ]
But playing around with these buttons keeps changing everything, but not anything I want changed.
HELP!!!

This is happening to mine too! Idk if it is bc I'm messing with the buttons or if it happens on its own, but the temp will beep once, wait a moment, and then beep 3 more times and switch each of those times. Does that sound familiar to anyone?
