Thank you! It's a lovely surprise to stumble across someone who speaks my language and shares somatics in a way that I'm familiar with. I look forward to more practices with you.
Almost a year to the day I am finding your video after an intense similar class with my coach, we spent the morning working exactly like this, and I questioned was the work we did was considered somatics, or the fascial fitness I have been researching lately, and realize it is all of it - that connection; really appreciated this video, your presence and reiteration of our class today. I'm on a journey for tools I can share with my support group about living with a chronic condition (we have Lipedema) it is considered a loose connective tissue disorder, which brought me interest in fascial work a couple weeks ago. The deep volume fascia you speak of really resonated with me. Finding ways to stay the course in our selfcare routines, even when that means maintaining mobility as we progress in our condition, means so much. Thank you again. Will be looking for more of your work.
My attention kept wandering out to my limbs, but once I mentally found the deeper areas the pandiculations just kept coming. One thing that did stand out was how rigidity in my ribcage was reducing my arms ability to move.
I enjoyed that a lot thank you!!! It did feel like self-osteopathic therapy! Do you think it would release the fascia? I feel like it really massaged my shoulders (which are stiff)....xxx
Hello, I was reading from my own personal writings at the beginning of the video… based on the development of somatic inquiry and movement practice and interdisciplinary education over the last 20 years. I bow to many somatic pathways as inspiration, both western schools and indigenous and eastern teachings. In this video, I will say that Knee Drop was taught to me as part of the Basic 6 in the Bartenieff Fundamentals developed by Irmgard Bartenieff. Somatic Groundwork is an offering that has emerged through my process of experience: relationship, teaching and learning.
With the light pattern on your carpet from your blinds, you look like a musical note on a stave. Thank you for these guiding practices.
Such a great image, dancing along the musical scale!
I found this to be a nourishing and energetic resest! Thank you, Kent Bond
thanks for the comment! and for practicing with me

Ahhh... music to my fascia:)

These are great observations in the inquiry process . . . these insights are the medicine

Oh yes, Somatic Groundwork a great practice for fascial health and nervous system regulation!
Whose style of somatic movements do you base your theories on?
What was the book you were reading from?
