Talking about un-fixable nock high arrow flight. I couldn't figure out my issues forever. Had people watch me and they said I had a consistent good release. Then I decided to try out a tab instead of my glove and it solved my problem. I went from shooting corkscrews to shooting bullets out of my bow. I was even able to tune a broadhead with no fletching out to 20 yards.
Straight up good man met him and his wife at Cloverdale I had been shooting a widow for about four years then and I asked him if he would sign my bow and he hunted in his brief case to find a paint pen to sign it for me he didn't want it to rubb off and Brenda his wife actually had a great personality and was a joy to talk and had a great knowledge of wood
I had a little trouble in the third grade, but i can sure say Ken has done an excellent job of explaining bow set-up and tuning, but i also have been shooting black-widow bows for 26 yrs. thanks Mr. Beck for the refresher...........
This is all on wood arrows. Do aluminum and carbon react the same? I have a Widow and have always used Game getter II with 145 grain field point and two blade broad head.
Hey Marc, Toby was shooting carbon arrows in the video. yes Carbon and aluminums act the same. If you are right handed, Nock left is weak and nock right is stiff. Thanks.
Hello Bill, If you want a 100 grain heavier arrow, you should be able to add about 80 grains to the nose and about 20 grains to the tail, approximate ratio on a Gold Tip Arrow, and not affect the spine much. Each bow, archer, and set up are different. You will need to test this to see if it works for you.
Black Widow Bows But what I don't understand is... You add a heavier point weight to an arrow that is showing stiff. So,once is flies straight you have the right weight tip. So how can adding 80grains up front not make the arrow show weak again?
The VERY best and clear explanation of arrow\ bow tuning available anywhere!!!!
Dear God - this was like drinking from a firehose. I need some time to think about this and listen to again and again. Thank you.
I made notes and rewound the vid several times. A lot of good info.
The shot at the beginning says it all..swing draw with perfectly matched arrow!
I know this video is 8 years old. But Wow, this is great info.
I like this part the best at 22:08. Actual arrow flight and great photography.

Is he saying that you can add 100 grains up front and not greatly affect the spine and flight?

I'm glad I purchased my Blackwidow when Ken Beck ran the company! Ken is a remarkable man, who cared about customer service and satisfaction.
