japanese team playing is stunning. and they almost reached world's top level. this scene is simply amazing and graceful. first goal, after wing playing.. beautifully crossed and forward ended with powerful head shot. second, mid-player(endo) got sensitive access to honda and perfect shot. third, broke up completely bel's organized defense in mass box area by 2-1 penetration combination. those seem to be a kind of compilation of modern football attack strategy. japan is now getting formidable team enough to match evenly with like brazil or spain. japan! be good luck in 2014 world cup and korea too...
This is a highly talented team they have beaten. They play with great understanding of each other and fear no one. When they equalised at 1-1 they actually picked up the ball and ran back to the centre circle, and they were the AWAY team!
As a Japanese, I am glad that Japan could fight against strong countries like Holland and Belgium but Japan is not still strong in the world. Japan could have a good game against Italy in Confede but in the end, Japan was defeated by Mexico too. 2 month ago, Japan was defeated by Serbia and Belarus....still no stability.

Same with winning to Holland at home in a friendly which is considered a derby in Belgium, but not so much in Holland, since their derby is against Germany. Italy and the Netherlands both played friendlies against some weak teams, which is the reason they aren't in the top 8 now because you only get few points for that. Italy played friendlies against San Marino and Haiti, the Netherlands against Indonesia and China. Oh and drawing Wales at home is pathetic, especially when you were already qualified, which means you can play more freely. Belgians are overrating themselves, which doesn't suit them. Be glad you are finally at a World Cup again and have a nice time. But don't be surprised if you can pack your bags after the round of 16 if not sooner. The Netherlands at this point is mediocre also. This World Cup is going to be South American party with some Asian surprises.

As I've seen for the past 3 years, Japan have grown as a team. Finally sorted out their striker position and removed the ageing Maeda for SUPERB talent (in terms of skill and finishing) in Kakitani, WORKHORSE in Okazaki, and young, efficient and a great finisher in Osako

Although I'm a more offensive player, and prefer a more offensive team, defense is the key to winning. Once you know and can rely on your defenders to do their job you can play the offense you want. Japan, step up your defense!!
I'm belgian and i thought japan deserved this win. But this is a friendly match, belgium didn't have Kompany , Courtois and Bruyne as starters. Bruyne only got swapped in at 70 later and gave some rly dangerous assists and the corner for the goal. All in all, Japan was the better team this game but keep in mind that some of our best players were on the bench during this game.
Sebastian Matuk I haven't watched the match, but I heard Colombia simply had more chances and of course they had Falcao who's amazing. But yea courtois and kompany weren't in the team at that time to. but again you can't compare friendly matches with real ones yet.

You mentioned the point actually; Courtois & Kompany didn't showed up on the pitch and I suggest that Belgium Coach tested something different strategy to prepare for this coming up World Cup. And also you shouldn't forget that Red Devils actually moved directly from South America and didn't have a enough rest to prepare this game to recover the altitude. This is something I don't like about FIFA's outrageous system against players who really needs to take a break to prevent injury as a professional athletes. 実際、こん時はW杯ベスト8くらいの実力はあったと思う。ザックはイタリア人だけど点を取られても取り返してとにかく攻撃するってサッカーが非常に良かった。日本のウィークポイントであるフィジカルをパスで補って強豪に立ち向かった。アウェー(一部中立)でフランス、ベルギー、コスタリカに勝ってオランダと引き分けたのは本当にすごいと思う。
ただ、ザックがW杯初めてだったのもあって本番で力を発揮できてなかった。
俺的にはザックにロシアW杯までやってほしかった。ハリルじゃなくてザックが良い。

不思議でもなんでもないですよ。ただの親善試合ですから向こうは日本対策していません。もう一つはこのとき日本はきちんと前線の選手も守備を前のめりにしていましたが、本番では相変わらず守備を放棄しました。コートジボワール戦での得点シーンは香川がセンタリングに詰めなかったことが原因です。これはまんまザンビア戦での得点シーンと同じです。日本のCBとGKに世界レベルの選手がいないので、世界レベルのFWにいいセンタリングをあげられると失点しやすいわけです。
