Not only is this real music but the vocal chords are also the most difficult instrument to play. Any other instrument you can tune upfront and prepare pitch perfect except for the vocal chords, yeah you can warm up your vocal chords upfront but you still have to hit the right note and pitch live in the moment but the beatboxing requires even more parts of your mouth and vocal chords to create the percussion on top of the notes and pitches
@@firestorm667 I have been beatboxing for 4 years now, and I have heard people saying that beatbox can't be music its just some kind of boots n cat sound coming from a human mouth which can't compete with an instrument. But I know how complicated things get and how good beatboxing can sound. Even though I have been listening to beatboxing for a while now, I still get left in awe for the fact that beatboxers always come with some new sounds and how they have started adding their singing voices and perfectly pitching every other sound they make. And yes thanks for the information you mentioned above, you always learn something new every day !

Bro I agree. To me Beatbox and Hip-hop (the real ones) are some of the last REAL music out there.
I don't get real passion and love for the art very much anywhere else.
Beatboxers remind me of early rock N roll bands. Traveling and giving everything to try and "make it". Perfecting their craft for the love of the art.

Would love to see you react to some more loopstation stuff, the 2019 showcase 'fantasy' battle between Saro and MB Vs Tom Thum and Gene Shinozaki is well worth it. Tom Thum (an Aussie Legend like Codfish) also has a Tedx Talk that is worth a look - at last count it had 77million views and is a bit of fun as well as a WTF how does he do that type show.

Yo you should check out "Money Back" D-Low and Codfish made did a colab together. When D-Low brought that up in the battle and Codfish did a counter of the same thing it’s because they did it together

2018 finals were hotly contested as to who won, I personally thought D-Low won and also thought his rounds leading up to the finals were better all the way through, but in 2018 Codfish was the golden child and immensely popular in comparison to D-Low. There's also something to be said (I think) about beatboxers using the same rounds in multiple competitions, The ending of Codfish's round was his track "Going under" - which is incredibly popular and basically guarantees him a win, but for me personally in a competition setting I think using a round previously used should be given minus points for repetition, but that apparently isn't how most judges see it.
no shade or anything, but like, how many routines do you suppose each beatboxer has? and if something works, he may as well use it. Either way, I'll admit my bias for codfish. in my opinion dlow only really lost because of that sleep-rest counter.
@@joshbirroy1460 Music has basically infinite combinations, look at what Colaps did in his run to GBB champion even River and footbox had entirely new sets for the competition, Kickback is also a good example as they had 24 hour turn arounds to make a routine, it can be done and as I said it should only get minus points if used in a competition (at least at GBB) not if its just released in a video or music track.

I think you’re right you did Codfish’s 2018 compilation and Dlow’s 2019 compilation. If you want more codfish battles Codfish vs Zekka and Codfish vs B-Art from 2019 should be totally new. Also D-low vs Trung Bao and D-low vs Hiss from 2018.
