Sure, she likes deserts but that's about it. Everything else, she didn't have time to develop or discover about herself, focusing only on training as a mage to repay Heiter before he died. Having to fight clones of themselves was such a cool twist to the test. The conversations between Ubel and Land are so entertaining to read, every single time. He's barely giving anything away and she's trying so hard to find out more about him. Next episodes are shaping up to be very interesting! Already from the first episode of this anime from a series of dialogues, the main character can see one of the plot lines - life, namely its duration and transience. Here she is very serene and melancholic, since the main theme of the anime is time, which flows from the face of the main character as imperceptibly as clouds in the sky. Frieren lives according to different laws of time, she always sees her past haunting her without stopping. The whole difficulty lay in the fact that her past life was too terrible and gave her unpleasant memories. She could not cope with the terrible moments, the death of thousands of people was unbearable for her, and she definitely could not forget this in any way. Her characteristics are too strong and do not allow her to live her life the way she woul. Well, I have a guess who could defeat Frieren, this is, of course, a far-fetched statement, but suddenly Fern will defeat her because she uses magic🪄 faster than Frieren, this may play a role!
Hmm, maybe it will be, but you forgot about the clones and didn't mention it. To be honest, there are a lot of long and addictive moments, especially the moment with the exam, it was clearly superfluous. And, of course, there are just unrealistically many contradiction. For example, let's take the episode with the clearing of the coastline: why was it already light and warm by the new year, at what time of the year did they celebrate the new year there? (well, okay, it can still be explained by another world) but why is green, opaque water called pure? and the most interesting thing is, how did they manage to hold out for more than 4 months if they burn 2 piles of debris from 2 ships at the same time and clearly perform this action more often than once a day?
I am not sure - Fern may be faster than Frieren, but she is not so experienced. She would have to be at the very height of her magic power to defeat her....
Is it me, or Frieren seemed rather disappointed in the hidden room? Like she was expecting some rare grimoires not a lame and boring sculptures. But then she saw how amused Fern was and started to smile herself.
Edel is a low key badass. She stays calm in absurd scenarios. It almost comes off like morbid/black humor. And personally I think it's kind of sexy. In a not-on-purpose kind of way.
This anime is one of the few where there are no plot holes and roles from nowhere, today it is a rarity, if a person with an adult brain, then he can't help but like this anime

It's not Frieren keeps falling for the mimic chests. It's just that there's a one in a million chance that it could actually be real treasure. She is betting on that one in a million chance. Kinda like her take on doing lottery. Because she is powerful enough to get out of it and because she lives for so long that somehow somewhat statistically speaking in her long life, one of the chests has gotta be that one in a million. She can afford to take the risk purely because she is strong enough to get out of it.
