    I am French, I stayed there for 9 months 20 years ago, it took me 9 months to understand that everything was false. So I must not be very intelligent. It is a disguised commercial enterprise. I worked for free, I had to pay for my accomodation, my food which was very poor. It is not a spiritual place at all. Lots of people are abused there, foreigners or Indians. These vultures surf on the need for spirituality of people, and by this fact, the best of humanity.

      It takes people years to realise what you just said. By then, they are trapped like flies in a cobweb. And thank you for the facts, only by saying reality can Auroville change.

    Dreams of a world, unbound by strife,
    Of unity, love, a harmonious life.
    Yet where no roots embrace the land,
    Visions crumble like grains of sand.
    In nature's lap, let egos fade,
    Build not with power, but trees' cool shade.
    Truth grows where the earth is free,
    A simple life shapes destiny.

    • @VikramRamFilms

      There are many reasons for this:
      a) The officers bend over backwards for the foreigners as per "Atithi Devo Bhava" Guest is God.
      b) The Aurovilians have huge clout and they have a mob mentality to harass and make any bureaucrat their slave, having connections in Delhi.
      c) This would have never happened without the help of the Government; it is institutional corruption since 1983.
      and now also after so much has happened, they still haven't done criminal action - Law is only for common Indians not for Aurovilians, as they are 'above law under the divine protection of spiritual work.'

    I'm sorry to say that is a very one-sided story of what is happening in auroville. I have volunteered in auroville for over 5 years and I know a little bit about what is going on. The government and the new secretary are far from perfect people trying to save auroville. Not to again say that administration in Auroville has been perfect. My only advise to people seeing this will be to not make judgements based on this very biased video. Infact criminal charges can be placed on the government and the secretary as well for what has happened as much as can be placed on some Aurovillians for what they have done to the place and the people there.

      I met 1978 Medhananda in Fraternity and I know that he left Auroville for different reasons, as far as I understood for spiritual reasons. I visited him and Yvonne Artaud later in Pondy, Reddiarpalayam, where he lived in a wonderful garden with the atmosphere of a paradise. He left 1994. I do not know the people who sign responsible for what I like to call a wrong atmosphere, but every time I came back (last 2010) I missed the atmosphere I felt in 1978, as well in Pondy and Auroville. I thought it is a kind of secularization, an alienation from the original standards to a "mass product". You have to imagine that Champaklal, who left 1992, was sometimes present in the Ashram and alone his aura spread dignity and sacredness. Last year I had some mail-contact with Alok. My impression was that he is a man who may be of great support for your task.
      I don't know whether the few lines are helpful for you, these are my personal and subjective impressions, and they may be of no interest for you. Anyway, I wish you all what is necessary for your great task and I'm sure that a sincere heart will always find the support of Sri Aurobindo and Mother. All the best for you!

    Auroville is a classic example of a failed utopia, what we see now is Dystopia as the Government starts taking action.

  • @karthikckrishna
    @karthikckrishna 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    Auroville was built from scratch by people that believed every one in the world can come under one roof and create an utopia. Auroville was a barren land the youngster from France and Germany predominantly transformed this place to what is today called as Auroville. For example Bernard from auroorchard came as teenager and transformed 100 acre of land into organic farming .. now he is 80 years old… it is easy to make a video today and call some one or something wrong. But doing on ground is different thing… now the BJP is trying to convert this place for their propaganda and cancelling visa for people who gave their lives for this idea “Auroville”

    • @VikramRamFilms
      @VikramRamFilms  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Such kind of childish talks won't fly. So what if some people did something? Everyone has done something in Auroville. Does that give them the right to destroy the project and rule it and make their own empires? Does planting trees allow Frederick and others to buy lands everywhere against the Mother's ideals? Does a government change its laws as per which political party is in power ? The same foreigners went to the Government because Congress was in power? So, let's not kid around and tell these old stories of so called pioneers who destroyed Auroville. Don't spread rumours and nonsensical hero stories of Auroville. We have all the documents based on which the Government is acting upon - Govt is not political parties, it's a legislative body. Enjoy the falsehood

      A tropical climate cannot be barren. No offense the amount of plants that grow in auroville if you leave the land untouched is amazing plants like shrubs will take the place and them trees come within couple of years. The decomposition is enormously fast with wood consuming termites and other insects all over the ecosystem. There is no way you would have barren sand in a climate that have a significant rainfall.
      Its a lie to say a land with a rainfall of 30+ inches barren.
