I have been using the previous version of this vest for well over a decade and it hasn't shown any wear. Last year I flew 24,500 miles on a trip around the World. Prior to bording the plane, I pull my pad (12" in the big pocket), earbuds and eye mask (on longer flights) out of my carryon and slip them into my vest pockets.

Hi, thank you for the review... Question is the camera pocket large enough for say a DSLR like a canon 5d ? Also can the water bottle pocket be used to hold a lens about 7 inches(17 cm) long and about 4 inches (10 cm) wide?

I am wondering if that large pocket on the back will hold a 15 inch macbook pro 2016-2019 build (before the 16 inch) ??

Yes, it will. I always put my MacBook Pro 15" in that pocket when I am going to the airport. Once I get to the gate, I take it out and put it in my carryon, or wherever I feel like keeping it for the flight. I got several comments from people about how cool it was to have that pocket, and how great it was that it held a good-sized laptop!
