Sweet. Good way to spend time with the family. I had a stellar comic book day. I picked up the Annihilation Conquest Omnibus and the Atlantis Attacks omnibus at the comic book store plus a handful of free issues but that's not the best part. I went to a comic con a few weeks ago where Ron Lim was signing autographs but I was a forgetful bonehead and left my copy of Infinity Gauntlet at home. I found out that Ron was hanging out at the comic book store that I went to today so I was able to bring my copy and have it signed by him. Redemption!
MJ Cook that is so awesome! I love Ron’s art. He drew just about every comic in the 90s. I hope to meet him one day! That Annihilation Conquest though! Great buy!
Lovely family Omar. My LCS is only a mile from my house so I popped in when I went to get groceries. No trades despite 20% off everything. My youngest son chose to go to Walmart with my wife instead, thinking he'd get a toy and came up short. So the Casper comic I grabbed made up for it. He said he's coming with me next year.
I celebrated that 2019 holiday by not knowing it was a holiday. And I don't know of any super awesome comic book stores that sell comics and hardbound comics and all the cool stuff that you all got to look at. Anyway, what and nice family you all seem to be.

I wish I can do comic book shopping like you did.. the closest comic book shop is like 300 kilometers away from where I live, and it requires me to get into a ferry or airplane to get there.. hope I can open a comic bookstore on my own on day! It's great that you have a family that supports and takes part in this hobby. I've always said that the comic industry need to start engaging the youth more. I would hate to see what happens after the next couple of generations aren't around anymore. Kids are easily seduced by the shiny electronics that offer more enjoyment than what comics offer at nearly 5-6 dollars an issue. I think the biggest FCBD thing that will remain a dream is if IST held a special in person event/sale. Bet you'd be like kids this is my "happiest place on earth" and would walk out with so much stuff there would be no room and they strap you to the roof while the wife drives home! How's that for a fantasy?;)

I picked up the FCBD editions of Buffy/Firefly, Spider-Man and Avengers. I grabbed a copy of Stranger Things for my brother and found a copy of Marvel Epic Collection Amazing Spider-Man: Great Responsibility which was $12 off the cover price. Unfortunately the owner didn't restock on the Omnibuses so I missed out on those but, all in all a very fun day was had!
Fun video!! FCBD is the best!! BTW just wanted to know what that yellow Harley book was at 9:41. Camera was too blurry to see it and just in case my girlfriend who is a huge Harley Quinn/Batman fan wanted to know or me if I wanted to buy it for her lol

I have a comic book store near me but I couldn't go today and it usually gets a little nuts. One comic per person which is ok but the Marvel issues always run out quick and a lot of cool local artists (my most prized poster is a Burton-esque Spider-Man that I got a few years ago). And wow you guys hauled some good stuff, surprised no Sheets or Deadly Class.
How old is he? It depends on the age. My 7 and 9 year old read different things like Tiny Titans to Supergirl. My 9 has read Klaus, Ultimate Spider-man and Peanuts.

Don't believe "Free comic book day" is celebrated in Sweden (Even though I do believe that Free comic books have been given to encourage children to read. Not a standard thing as far as I know.). Anyway May the third, was just around the corner and it is the "World Press Freedom Day". Every magazine, comic book, and newspaper was half off that day, in "Pressbyrån" (it's a chain of convenient stores, much like 7-Eleven) and they have a good selection (around 2500 different up to date comics etc, but nothing older than the current issues). Don't know of any dedicated comic book stores had any sales in any of these days. Dedicated comic book stores are really rare here... I can mention that we used to (I believe the last ones stopped in 2008. A pity that the MCU haven't gotten the ball rolling again) have translated Marvel comics (X-Men and Spider-Man), but sadly now you can hardly get them even in English. The only way is basically to order online from USA.
