Gotta love the all important Drongo. He casts these all important games so well.
The all important Chinese tax efficiency really shining right here! He was able to get his all important upgrades and spam out those all important Zhuge nu all without even mining the all important gold! This is almost exactly how I play the early game with Chinese (probably not as well though lol), pro scouts can come in so quickly with fast feudal and supervise that you are able to steal deer before they even have the upgrade queued.

This is the *BEST* China play I have ever seen so far
The biggest mistake Mongols did is the direction of his attack, instead of coming from the south if he came from the north, he could potentially pick off some vils around the mill and force them back to some other food source, which would cancel all the advantage China had with its early deer steal. Regardless it is good to see China feels more prominent in earlier games, (they were beast in late game anyway)
Honestly it's gotten to the point where I'm surprised whenever you cast a game without the viper

It's insane how amazing Drongo's commentary is. I switch it on to have it play in the background while I do my chores, and 2 mins later, Drongo's excitement gets to me and I'm glued to the screen for an hour. Damn you Drongo!!
When your Russian blood calls to steal deer even when you're playing China
Chinese versus Mongols is such a cinematic match up. I'm glad that the Chinese can more than just hold their own in the match-up now!
the great wall is such a good counter to them too if you turtle and put it in a choke, since its a landmark it doesn't stop blocking space when it gets destroyed, in addition to all the other defensive bonuses. and since mongols don't get bombards, its basically unkillable with trebs alone

This is an all important match to watch if you want to learn about all of the all important things.
Mongol player needed to make horseman (counter-intuitive post nerf). Chu ko nu trade too efficiently against archers. With the additional ranged armor they would outperform against low to med numbers of chinese repeaters.
Yea- the horseman change makes them stronger against Zhuge Ne than before.
All chinese dinasty units are a bit OP, because you need to pay a huge ammount to unlock them. I think its fair.

Exactly, without the repeater, they don't have an effective unit in the dark and feudal age, now they can live. They still die to England longbows and MaA but it's at least something.

5:57 you can cleary see the scout have 0hp. wtf is going on?
you cant delete your starting scout it will only go to 0 hp so i guess it has 1 extra hp.
Scouts are healing constantly in ticks that give them less than 1hp. The hp bar shows 0 because it's a rounded number, so the scout had probably less than 0,5 hp.
In the video you can see how the hp bar is constantly filling up.

How do you feel about a nerf to scout movement speed while carrying deer carcasses? say 25% slower. I feel like it's too low of a risk going for professional scouts.

If you want to see a real dynasty you should check out Brandon "Atrioc" "Glizzy hands" "Big A" "Cringey Cronchmas" "Slime's friends son" Ewing. That guy built a dynasty that will last a thousand years!
New ChuKoNus are really good against Mongols
They are pretty much useless against HRE, England, Rus and France but against the civs that can't get armored units in feudal it's really good
What's interesting about the Zheng Nu is....they are bad against armor....but decent against really high armor. They attack rams and buildings at 3x the damage of normal archers (aka 3 damage instead of 1), that actually makes their damage a factor instead of a rounding error.
Focusing down the barbican + blacksmith was the Mongol player's big mistake. He should have pushed from the north, sent a ram or two at the mill and focused down as many vills as possible.
Hey Drongo, would be nice if you would show the current ressource income instead of the current ressources.
I think income tells us much more than what the players have bunkered.

Drongo please stop adding a narative to your casting. Watch how things unfold but don´t try to read how the whole game will unfold. So many times your casting becomes incredibly one sided because you think the game should go in a certain direction. Mongol player was putting chinese under heavy pressure and the guy was always at the verge of getting overrun by rams - meanwhile you tell us how far ahead the chinese guy is and how "dangerous" the situation is for the mongol player just because he got raided by 3 horsemen. Great defense by Chinese guy and great strategy nonetheless.

A civ meant to win early, beat by a civ with the strongest late game, and used resources on not one but two Land marks....hmmmm
China is too OP. No way too win this civ...
English all in early Feudal, Longbows and MAA
The Mongol player could've had most of the hunts, but focused on killing the enemy scouts. He could have produced horsemen, buffed up against Zhuge Nu with that extra armour, instead of more archers. Going for the landmark was the least relevant target at that point (I think a single Zhuge Nu deals more DPS than the Barbican). I'm sure people will figure out ways to deal with China.
