I love how easy you explain your cooking. You always make me hungry for the dish if the day.
Aw thanks so much María!
This guys cooking is great, he focuses on quality ingredients, he is patient with the process of each dish to attain the best flavour. The chicken soup and beef stew are my favourite videos and thoroughly enjoyed watching. Inspired me to replicate his recipe exactly.
Thank you so much! And how did yours come out?
Magnificent! I'm not Jewish myself but I love the Jewish people and their food and this looked out of this world! Thank you for posting!
That was the perfect description of a thing called "beef stew". Nothing Jewish about it except the Kosher salt. From the LeCreusete Dutch oven to the frozen peas at the end and the dab of tomato paste with the onions and the rue, everything was absolutely classic. More British than Jewish. You can't get more perfect than this video and I don't know how you could make a better-looking beef stew. You should see this guy's chicken soup if you want to see Jewish...:)
@@OTTO149x
Actually Kosher salt isn't Jewish either... just it's name is. Kosher salt is also known by other names. My guess is that they like to take credit for everything.
@@OTTO149x Awesome Chris!
@@cxoot It is referred to as Kosher Salt because the larger Crystals are used to “KOSHER” meats, chickens etc. The larger Crystals being more effective at removing blood etc from the product.
Hi David! I had to see your recipe for your beef stew to see if it's anything like mine. Some things are and others aren't. It's really fun to see other people's recipes!
Stew is one of my favorites but I don't know how to cook. This video has some good ideas which I will try.
That sounds great - so glad you enjoyed it, and please let us know how your stew came out!
Thank for this kosher meal video, im not Jewish but i still eat kosher and follow Yahuah's law.
Amazing - thanks so much for watching our videos!
Wow, David you have over 10,000 views as I watched this video! (I know you posted it way back in 2015, but still)!! Awesome show, and I am jealous of your Le Creuset :) I love that you added the fresh (frozen) peas at the end, I may try that for my next stew. I usually use barley instead of potatoes as my starch, but otherwise very similar.
I would love a milchig spinach quiche recipe / video. Thank you :)
Amen
It makes me remember the chapters of the Bible relating Isaac and his two sons Yacob and Esav. Stew and venice this things make me remember Bereshit's chapters.
Thanks for your attention sir, it really gives me strenght to keep going on, i am really depressed and your videos give some life to my heart. May Ribono shel Olam bless you and your family, more and more.
Great recipe! I hope you add more videos to your channel!
Definitely working on it! We should hopefully have a new one this week. Don’t forget to subscribe to get notified when we release new videos - thanks!
This was very helpful. My husband is Bangladeshi. And they eat similar foods and no pork. They also celebrate Purim. I'm finding our so much. I also need to learn more. He's a Christian like I am. It's good.
beautifully done!
Thank you so much - have you made it yet? Curious how yours turned out.
I’m gonna try it today 😃
High heat is not recommended for the cast-iron enamel dutch ovens....a medium heat will bring the covered pot to a boil.
with meat string, tie your rosemary together in a bundle. It makes it super easy to remove later with tongs.
Great idea thanks!
That was great. Taste was so wonderful- great recipe and clear- step by step instructions.
Thanks - I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Looks delicious~!!
Thanks so much Edward!
Excellent Stew David, I make this often in the Winter. I like to keep it simple and I look for Recipes by others. I am making it today for some Friends that are visiting from CT. This one is very nice.
Thanks - I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you, looking really nice..will try now..😊😊😊👌👌
Great - please let me know how yours comes out!
Your stew looks really tasty and left me feeling hungry. Thank you for sharing this with us. I do have a question though because I was surprised your potatoes didn't go to mush. What potato did you use as I know some potatos wouldn't stand up to an hours cooking?
Looks good. Thnks. Can you use chuck instead of London Broil?
Of course - that would work out great! Let me know how yours comes out!
Look delicious. RICO 😍❤
Thanks!
Thank you. It is delicious.
My pleasure - thanks for watching!
I didn't know to add flour to my stews , thanks
Yes, to thicken it, and to coat the beef to keep it from drying out.
I loved this. I particularly like that you show every single step of the meal and don't presume we know how to do any of it. Any chance of getting written recipes with the video?
I'll see what I can do about that...thanks!
I do the same on my Chanel. I love to see our brothers and sisters do this. U awesome brother I love this episode got to see the rest.
New one coming out tomorrow! Hope you enjoy it!
Cooking Kosher can't wait.
For those of us who are not Jewish, could you please translate what you said before taking a bite of your beautiful looking stew?
he recited various blessings (there are different ones for different kinds of foods) thanking g-d for the food before taking a bite
@@tillymariespietz Thank you for replying.
Looks good but one sleight criticism is the use of bought stock, isn't it a bit cheating? What would do if it wasn't available or didn't want to use it?
You could easily use water instead.
You could? I also thought that it was strange to use broth? Also, can't you make just one shehakol for the whole stew?
Beef bouilon cubes dissolved in hot water.
Sorry but on 🍷 looking good I am going to make it today
That sounds great - please let me know how it turns out!
any more videos coming soon love the videos and the channel .
New video coming tomorrow! Hope you enjoy it!
beef still contains blood.. is that consider as kosher??
It’s been salted. No blood remains.
It’s not blood ! It’s beef juice, so not to worry! 😊👍🏽
You didn't mention it, but you probably used coarse salt, known as Kosher(ing) salt.
...just so folks know...
Indeed I did
@@CookingKosher Thanks for clarifying that!
Do you have to pray before every bite.
Not before every bite - just before every type of food in that meal.
Is that kosher London broil steak?
Yes it is indeed!
You should definitely try this recipe!
Do you have a cook book?.
Not yet…great idea!
need more videos bro....Shalom

@@oldpath7357 Our pleasure - shalom!
@@ShirSoulMusic wow....checked your channel...blew me away...had to sub..
@@oldpath7357 Awesome - thanks so much!
When you season the beef - instead of picking up each little piece of the beef to turn them, why not place another plate over the first plate and just FLIP them.
Sounds like a great idea to me!
What can I use in lieu of red wine?
Just regular chicken or beef stock is fine. No need to use the red wine if you don't want to.
Out of curiosity, could you use a beer in place of the wine?
Pera Medina Alcohol consumption, handling, buying and selling is forbidden in Islam.
Cooking Kosher Thank you! Shalom!
Beer is a great substitute.. I always use beer in my stew
I’m not sure u can do a Bracha like this on the show, look into it or maybe ask a Rav
Why not? Eating the food - make a blessing!
Do you have a lasagna recipe for me? I’m not Jewish
I don’t have a lasagna recipe up yet, but your suggestion is noted for the record!
That beef looks like beetroot.
Ha!
Cooking Kosher What fats/oils are kosher?
I’m not Jewish. Apart from olive oil what other fats can you fry with?
Yellow onion would be better for stewing. Vidalia loses its flavor.
Great tip - thanks!
Your not eating kosher your eating meat with the blood in it,your supposed to wash it with water red meat so it made white beef,if your paying attention to your religion properly.
No amount of washing with water will ever make it white.
@@CookingKosher The meat is salted in advance which draws out all the blood.
No no no! It’s Beef juice and 100% Koshered meat!!!
london broil is the exact wrong cut for beef stew
there;s nothing uniquely kosher about this dish
this really looks like it's far too dense
this could be made in a $39 aluminum cardera pot which would weigh a lot less and clean up a lot easier
Where’d you get the name CrankyInvestor?
