Need both yall to just keep doing the pod man
Just keep doing it for sure. and if you find a third who is passionate about cinema and good on camera then add them
What happened to Jeff?
Just want to hear Paul "Silence" the Reverend Mother again.
The boys are back 🥲
What happened to Jeff
They don’t use the lasguns always because if it hits a shield, it causes a massive nuclear explosion. That’s the main reason why swords are so commonly used in Dune
Yes, and shields attract worms and drive them into a frenzy hence why the shields aren’t used in the desert.
How can laser weapons cause nuclear explosions if there's no nuclear atomic particles present?
@@KnarfStein What do you mean?
@@KnarfSteinnot sure how well it's exactly explained but it's called a subatomic explosion in the first novel. I think the implication is the laser slices the very atoms that are hardened in the shield technology causing a nuclear explosion.
I think Denis has Chani be the first voice you hear in Part 1 and her face be the last thing you see in Part 2 for a reason.
what reason?
@@callumemmerson3939gonna kill Paul, like in this vision in part 1
The reason is "cringe" and "current year" Hollywood..Complete character assassination of Chani and the Fremen. Good flick. Misses the mark.
Gooch is the first and only person I wanted to hear review this movie lmao
I want to go watch the movie again just for the Paul addressing the war council scene .. just wow.
When I saw this LCB movie review on my TL I teared up
Denis should’ve just hit 3 hrs on this film. With an extra 13-15 minutes to flush out Chani/Paul romantic relationship early on, slightly longer final fight scene, longer fight scene Rabban/Gurney, etc to elevate this near perfect film even more. Heading to my 4th watch today out of 6 and this film keeps getting better and better upon each rewatching
My only "issue" (hardly an issue) I had with this entire movie is that the war in the end happens so quickly. I don't think it's fair to say they glazed over it( although that's the only way I can really describe it at the moment) but I think getting more of that scene would have made it the perfect movie
@@greggtheegg1976 I didn’t want to make my initial post so long but yeah totally agree with you. A missing piece was showing how Paul and the fundamentalists got to the palace doors. Just like Chani had her small montage had Paul had one it would’ve made it that much better.
@@greggtheegg1976 in the book the 3rd act is pretty messy and mostly off screen so they didnt have a ton to work with and did add a ton. The book absolutely glazes over it lmao everyone just sits in that room and explains what happened outside
Missed y’all boys thank you for coming back for the greatest movie of all time
This movie is truly an experience
Personally it's the greatest movie I've ever seen
Really? Even better than The Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift?
Phenomenal film
I kept thinking the movie was going to end in the last 30m-1hr it’s crazy how they wrapped everything up and ALSO set up the next movie. Nuts.
If I closed my eyes I don’t think I could distinguish between stellan and austin
I wanted Herberts' book to get the "Game of Thrones" treatment Give it to a Big studio and make a weekly series. There is so much Info.
Shooting Geidi Prime in Infra Red was inspired
Glad you boys are back with an extremely big franchise film to review. The hype is real!!
A new fan of this show. Knowledgeable but not pretentious and annoying. Very relaxed. Great job 👌
Earnest, epic, cerebral filmmaking at its finest. Must-watch.
FYI they had to blow up the copter before they could use lasguns because in the books, when the lasguns contact a shield, it creates an atomic explosion killing both the lasgun and shield user.
I have to disagree with Kenjac. I have not heard many others complain about pacing and I didn't have that feeling at all.
One of the funny things about this review is the big criticisms are "We want more." More Feyd Ratha, More Paul, More Chani. Like okay, those are really the people you got the most of by far. I'd be down for a 4 hour movie, but I don't think Warner Brothers would.
Just... Do the podcast fellas
With the laser guns if they hit armor with the laser it creates a nuclear explosion. That’s why they don’t use laser weapons nearly at all
I didn’t get Paul being a Villain vibe as much as everyone else?.. is it because I don’t know what’s coming in the next part - I thought he was just fulfilling the profit ..
This was great to listen to. Thanks guys
Kenjac speaking nothing but nonsense during this video 😂
I’ll be honest, the Anya Taylor Joy wasn’t spoiled for me… was pleasantly surprised to see her
At least for the love of god keep doing the long take
Bring back LCB please
Need a Klemmer review on this movie.
26:35 Should only be 3-4 trailers, less is more
Oscars were not late this year
Is Paul really evil or are his intentions necessary for the betterment of Jihad and the universe? In the books it says he is awoken to a vision far and clear into the future and the choices made before this forces him to become the messiah the people of Arrakis need, whether he wants that for himself or not.
“Perfect?” Ha. All this film has going for it is the CGI EFFECTS that look good on IMAX.
The reviewers who think this film is a “masterpiece”… I heavily disagree. And I’ve read all 6 books. I did like Austin Butler (there’s my positive note).
The book is not perfect. I give the book a 7/10. I give a 9,5/10 for part 1 and 2.
Yikes. How dense can you be
I thought it was pretty good, but feel like the build up to the big moments didn't always pay off and left me unsatisfied
Well it is a story that is already written. As someone who knew how it should have ended according to the book, which Denis did in the first, then the 3rd Act actually rushed the story end of the book to get a more dramatic payoff
@@joebowden4065 well thats kinda of what I mean, the 3rd act was awesome but I wouldn't have minded 15 more minutes at the end
I actually like the current Avatar series. Binged it in a day. Sorry you all feel differently
