Wow, I am very impressed. I've been practicing martial arts for 50 years and when I was younger, I always tried my best to make my forms real good. You just inspired me to start practicing again. Currently I'm only doing Tai Chi.
You ask your shifu how much a sash means and he will probably tell you its just for show other than the practical function that I have mentioned. Dont be an idiot
Very well done. Thank you. I've known Bung Bo for a long time but I learned a few new things from this video. You should help the other Sifu with understanding the Tang Lang Jhut Dung form that he performs.
Glad to see there is stil people out there that do the MA respectfully, and the way they should be, instead of trying to make money. Almost brings a tear to my eye. Nice stuff.
Absolutely beautiful! I take Kung Fu with the Hip Kyun Kung Fu Federation. I joined late in the year and only got my white sash, but I was still able to learn Arrow Hands, Gun Gee Fook Fu, Tun Da and Tiger Crane. Once my sifu starts back up after summer he's supposed to teach me Bung Bo. As mentioned before, absolutely beautiful, fluid and graceful but still containing power.
Great Form.. Give it an A+.. Real Deep stance and not to fast.. Not like that other guy that was trying to dance.. I see old school training is still around.. thanks for the video
The guy in the video I Posted have been Wolrd Champion in Traditional Tang Lang twice (2006 and 2008). Look at my videos the one with the label "Beng Bu".
I like the way Sifu Lee has strong stance I was wondering and would like it if you can post both white sash forms (mimi bo and the 1st braodsword form) Thank you P.S - its just becuase I'd like to see if i do mimi bo alright when I'm not at the temple t.y
Ok, one question, before mantis serves Tea, wasnt that last stance suppose to be Munkey stance back fist than serves Tea stance? Cause that what i have on my Bung Bo
First, I'm not telling my forms are best,I need two more evaluations for my black belt. Second, the forms are not performing by me, but by a friend. By the way it was a practice, not a competition or a exhibition. Third, this guy and his father claim to be "Second Generation Masters" and that's impossible, 'cuz Wang Lang the first generation master lived around 1600 A.C. Fourth, I posted a video response of a friend of mine that won the Traditional World Championship in TangLang twice.
Sashes are symbolic, the important is the kwnowledge. The point is this guy is not a Master,he doesn't even appear in the lineage of the style as a Baishi. His Beng Bu is not bad, but neither beautiful.
Wow, you have alot of friends that do ma.. ALso, I wasn't aware there was anyone around in 1600 A.C. (whatever A.C. means :) Good luck with your black belt. In chinese MA systems we use sashes to protect the organs, and if ur Shifu is serious about what he teaches, it doesn't really matter the colour or anything.
doubtful unless your in a mcdojo. you can't be an instructor until your a black belt. (assistant instructor at brown) And in the majority of good martial arts they don't allow you to graduate to black belt until your 18. Known from experience, i was taught karate in a McDojo... but it was a very good one. (just as good at the techniques, he just rushed people through the belts too fast. We had a guy on purple belt in under a year...)
WHats wrong with his form? At every position you could stop him and test his stance. Rock solid the way its supposed to be. I took a look at some of your videos. Amatuerish at best
Finally a Mantis form demonstrated with Power! Thanks for posting.
Superb!!! Excellent form, power, and obvious knowledge of application. Possibly the best Bung Bo I've seen posted.

That's the way Long Fist should be played. Power, speed, agility, technique, and endurance is key to self defense.
He's got a little of the dramatic wushu wobble, but I love the low stances. A lot of training went into this: props.

Dont be an idiot
That was probably the best version of Beng Bu that I’ve seen
OH MY GOD, he was so rooted down to the ground every step of the way! Seriously, I'm impressed.

By the way if sashes doesn't matter, why GM Su Yu Chang is 9th Tuan Black Belt Degree?
Seven-Star praying mantis (Northern style)
You must be focusing on power and correctness am I right? Very good form sir.
