This looks really good. When you drove over the bricks, it was not nearly as bouncy as I thought it would be. These smaller scale RCs are surprisingly capable.
Just ordered one. I couldn't resist ever since I've seen some of the camper build stuff people are doing. Ive owned a handful of fms rcs and they are so good
These really are awesome trucks. In fact, this very one is in my most recent video with the Trailfinder 2 mini's. It now has a Jurassic park livery and you can see it a few times following the toyotas in the background.
@@AMPROEngineering I ordered from Direct RC and they canceled my order cause my card issuer detected it as fraud. When I reached out they tried to get me to send a photo id and my card info. Not sure if I was almost scammed or what. But i did get my money back so whatever. Annoying but all good
This is an excellent review. I don't think I've seen anyone else go into the detail on the manual as you did. It looks great and I think your description as blend of a model and trail truck is exactly right.
Well thank you. I just know that some manuals are totally useless and point to a website vs telling you anything you need. FMS does a great job of this.
Thank you so much. Can actually see this again in todays video. Its spotted painted in Jurassic park livery in the background of the two TF2 mini's driving about.
I painstakingly built a CR01 wanting a unimog, and here I am about to buy this little guy... It's always another one coming down the pipe, Good gravy😂🤙
Unimog’s are my favorite. So I must get one. Great review!! But my favorite reviews are from when you review RC’s that have a lot of issues. Not gonna happen with FMS. The RC4WD TF2 was one of my favorites. You just crack me up when you say This I unacceptable to Ampro Engineering!! Or I don’t know what they were thinking!! The video where you compared the FMS 1/24th scale Toyota to the TF2 Was Awesome!! You have great attention to detail.
I love Unimogs! Nice guide to this model. PS: I can confirm that the "Doug" has portals. I believe all fcx24 have portals but can't confirm as I only have two..
you design some really amazing parts... Definitely gonna get the Hi-Lift motor/trans parts! Could you PLEASE do an interior and rear cab for the Tamiya Tundra....Pretty Please with cherries on top!!
haha! thank you! Unfortunately there is no demand for that truck at the moment. I would love to but right now I have some more stuff on the plate ahead of that.
i think this is on my list 😊👍 have you had a look at the axial scx24 power wagon ? i have to say it’s one of the best scale and capable mini crawlers 👍
This is a good one! Yeah I have seen it. A couple of my friends have them. They are rock solid crawlers. I would not call this FMS a crawler given that body raising the CG! hahah!
Hello AMPRO I am looking to get started in this, I did nitro RC cars years ago. Looking at this FMS it seems like a great starter kit. What would I be looking for to upgrade the wheels/tires? I am in the desert, so lots of rocks and sand, I think that means I will need to upgrade them. Thank you.
This is amazing! Track looks a bit wider compared to the mogrich. The wood paneling of the load bed should be a lot nicer if you paint it "wood colour" 😀👍
@@AMPROEngineering I have a perfectly good Futaba 16IZ sitting here! Don't need the RTR radio. Bind it to my 16IZ with a park flyer receiver instead. It's nice to have an RTR version but an RxR version would also be nice. I still have the factory radios from my Kyosho Mad Crusher GP and HPI WR8 Nitro lying around here somewhere having never once been powered on.
Can anyone help?!?! So I bought thr pricey mogrich thinking it's was fms only option for a unimog. Now that I know there is a licensed 2 speed non-fairy mint colored car, I obviously rather have that, so I should return the mogrich and get the better unimog right?
Another Ampro Saturday in Australia, love watching your videos with my morning coffee each weekend :)
Hello Simon!
Thank you so much for that!
This looks really good. When you drove over the bricks, it was not nearly as bouncy as I thought it would be. These smaller scale RCs are surprisingly capable.
Oh for sure. This does come with oil filled shocks from the factory and it is impressive how well they work.
FMS manuals are awesome. They do a great job with information sharing.
yes I think this important to keep these cars working and giving people quick access to the part number and how to repair them.
Just ordered one. I couldn't resist ever since I've seen some of the camper build stuff people are doing. Ive owned a handful of fms rcs and they are so good

Really nice unit. I was always a fan of the unimog.
They look great!

Awesome in depth review dude, thank you 👍

haha! I have that happen plenty of times
This really looks like a great little truck. I can see a bunch of ag accesses being built and adding flat land fun with that torque.
Oh yeah, i love the FCX24 platform in general.
This platform is probably the best 1/24 scale on the market.
Oh, wholeheartedly agree.
Good crawling session seems to have enough power for its size 😊😊😊
Oh for sure!

LOL! Oh that's the truth. There is so little i find issue with on FMS car that these tend to be boring!
The Fcx PW have portals. 👍
Great vid!
It does but not the Mogrich.
Another Great Video Alberto !!!!
Thank you Dan!
I love Unimogs! Nice guide to this model.

You are right! The "Mogrich" didn't which is so odd....

I am building a crawler course in the basement. Just because of these little machines they are very nice for the price
That is a great place for them!
Nice FMS unimog😉💪❤️🔥
Really a well done package!

This is a solid little car. For upgrades, I would look at wheels/tires for the axial SCX24's since they are about the same size.
This is amazing! Track looks a bit wider compared to the mogrich. The wood paneling of the load bed should be a lot nicer if you paint it "wood colour" 😀👍
I think it may be a tad wider. Yes, this needs detailing!
If I could get one as a Receiver Ready with open diffs and a pickup body I might just buy one.
Yeah i do wish one would come as a chassis.

They are both 2 speeds but the Mogrich does not have portals. That is the main difference. For me, its all about the same.
@@AMPROEngineering I own the mogrich; it is not 2 speeds, That's my point
Scale doesn't mean good though.
Actually FMS fcx24 rigs are just awesome out of the box
True, sure glad in this case it means excellent.
