I just started reading the Bible and I’m 16. I’ve been raised Christian but really only in the way that I know about how Jesus saved us and god loves us but I’ve never really been actually taught about the Bible and all of this history. I am on genesis 15 and it just now occurred to me to actually try and figure out the meaning behind these stories especially since 15 left me very confused after reading it lol. So thank you for these videos I will definitely be watching more.

Note: it takes about 3 years to become a heifer, goat, ram fully grown or complete whole. The number 3 represents complete or wholeness. Also each animal is fully grown and the 3 yrs of age. We are complete and whole and contracts are suppose to be complete and whole. Cutting down the middle is like separation. We are complete with God and one with him, but when you break the covenant it brings death by separation just like the animals. To separate a animal you have to kill it just like sin separates us. Note: Jeremiah 34:18 New Living Translation (NLT) 18 Because you have broken the terms of our covenant, I will cut (divide) you apart just as you cut apart the calf (whole) when you walked between its halves to solemnize your vows.
Note: Isaiah 59:2 New Living Translation (NLT)
2 It’s your sins (knife/walking through) that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore.
    Hope this might help

The LORD told Abram three things in this chapter. I found this online which I think ties in to why you thought he had to sacrifice 3 things. Thank you for another amazing study!
comforting command - Don’t be afraid
promise of protection - I am your shield
promise of the future - Your reward will be very great

What I am learning is how Abram grew to become someone better and better (Genesis 15) but he is still challenged a bit by having faith in Gods promises. Its a good reminder for us to not doubt and have faith.

This was by far your best video of explaining this Genesis 15 scripture, Bujo. You explained and illustrated it so well about faith
and promise. So right to the point, which you made it simple and easy to listen. It showed with the time length of this video. Oh, and I like
you write angel on your finger.
I love what you said about this chapter focusing on Abraham developing and cultivating his faith even more with him
counting the stars and handing in heifer, goat, ram of three-year-olds and birds. You also said it so well about it's okay
to question God at times as long as you have faith, and we see that with Abraham in Genesis 15 and Sarah in Genesis 16.
This chapter is so good for anyone that want to know the trials and tribulations of faith.
    I appreciated you showing your
experience of faith and the ups and downs that come with it.
Genesis 15:6 serves as one of my favorite scriptures. It illustrates Abraham showing faith and this scripture should
serve as a model for anyone showing faith towards God.

Happy New Year 2023, good evening, pray all is well~another throught for Genesis 15:9 "Three" (Got Questions)In ancient Near Eastern royal land grant treaties, this type of ritual was done to “seal” the promises made. Through this blood covenant, God was confirming primarily three promises He had made to Abraham: the promise of heirs, of land, and of blessings....Thanks for all the love, work and creativity you put into your videos. 💖KUDOS💖 Peace, Love & Blessings

Jeremiah 34:18-20 CSB - “As for those who disobeyed my covenant, not keeping the terms of the covenant they made before me, I will treat them like the calf they cut in two in order to pass between its pieces. “The officials of Judah and Jerusalem, the court officials, the priests, and all the people of the land who passed between the pieces of the calf -  “all these I will hand over to their enemies, to those who intend to take their life. Their corpses will become food for the birds of the sky and for the wild animals of the land.

I noticed that you did not go into much detail in terms of the fact that Abram was in a deep sleep when God went through the animals. I would just like to add that it is an important part as in those days contracts were made by the sacrificial cutting of the animals and then both parties of the covenant would walk through the animals together and repeat the terms of the covenant. The reason why the animals had to be cut is to show the seriousness of the covenant as it is sealed with blood, and if one was to break the covenant their blood would be shed like that of the animals.
The covenant was "signed" by only God for both parties as now the covenant is based on who God is and not based on who Abram is as Abram is a sinful human being and he connot fulfill his promises and thus with God going through this alone he makes sure that the covenant cannot fail because God connot fail.
We can see this as what God did for us too! He walked through the bloody body of Jesus to establish his covenant with us and God signed it for us as we are only part of this covenant through our faith in Him.
There is so much more I want to add on but I will type forever! A very good source for bybel study is : blue letter bibel!

Hi, with the help of my dad I found a plausible answer to why the animals were 3 years old. According to Matthew Henry commentary, “God appointed that each of the beasts used for this service should be three years old, because then they were at their full growth and strength: God must be served with the best we have, for he is the best. 2. We do not read that God gave Abram particular directions how to manage these beasts and fowls, knowing that he was so well versed in the law and custom of sacrifices that he needed not any particular directions; or perhaps instructions were given him, which he carefully observed, thought they are not recorded: at least it was intimated to him that they must be prepared for the solemnity of ratifying a covenant; and he well knew the manner of preparing them.” ~ This is a plausible explanation as to when the animals were 3 years old. Found using bible hub > Matthew Henry full commentary. Hope this helps

They were only in Egypt for 215 years. The 400 year captivity for Abraham’s descendents was between 1619-2019. Taken from the slave coast along the west coast of Africa from the then Kingdom of Juda, they were taken by ship and sold as slaves. Deuteronomy 28:64-68. Juda is the son of Jacob who is the son of Issac, Abraham’s son or descendents. They are a melanated people. That prophecy is about the so-called black people. Keep digging Sista.

Thank you that is exactly what it’s saying and I just read that verse tonight for the first time and I’m in shock that no one talks about that and its meaning . I am speechless right now that the evidence is in plain sight and no one preaches that . Crazy and I’m 46 never knew it proves that “chosen ones” are “black”. The truth is right in front of our faces. Do you have a channel?
