I think you're right.. there was a few people I met on the road that said it qas much better the week before. It just started to break me haha so I headed back south.
Ello mate! Great to see you back again! You're the first van lifer I started following so it's great to see Bejam back! My own van had to be transported back from our holiday in Cornwall to home in Kent. The diagnosis at the time was a busted timing belt which, in a 24-valve V6 Mitsubishi Delica is terminal. So...very depressed I was thinking it was the end for me and 'Velma' (VEL being the reg plate!) but NO...my mechanic pal said have you tried starting her up? Of course I hadn't coz I was expecting major engine parts disintegrating. He turned the key and she fired and ran with just a strange clonking noise but other than that it proved the belt HADN'T snapped and timing was all good. After a strip down we found it was a seized water pump. So after spending just over £500 on parts and paying my mate £400 for bringing Velma back to life I'm skint but thankful she's still here! Just got a niggling coolant drip to find (we suspect one of the hoses not tight enough) and all will be good! Anyway apologies for rambling and good to see you back!.
Thank you mate.. thats hugely appreciated 😊 Blimey man.. what a nightmare!!! These things certainly test us 😅 Glad to hear she's all good. Hopefully I'll see you on the road one day 👊🏻 Take care chap 🤘🏻

Stayed at Achmelvich for 2 weeks, 1 fantastic sunny warm one and one that was wet and windy - guessing you might have been there that week!!!!
