Tawny frogmouth - Podargus strigoides

This is a lovely Tawny frogmouth (Podargus strigoides) I just filmed on a fence post on our property. The colour balance on the camera isn't quite right but the eyes are definitely yellow not orange. I made sure to not shine the torch directly on him, and it was amazing how close I could get - about one metre away. When he flew off I couldn't hear a thing despite how close he was - this is an adaptation for night hunting, which owls share as well.
