That ship made me think of Oak Island and I have to wonder do they have old shafts leading down to a treasure? That one bottle (Sylpho-Nathol) is from 1916 and the polio epidemic so that's a really cool find. Boy I would love to walk and find stuff on that shoreline. Good fun!
Awesome video once again chigg, really liked the old ship hull. They really need to get someone to come an check it out. That could be a really big piece of forgotten history. Especially if they can date it back to the 1790-1820's or the war of 1812. They can really tell alot with a piece of the wood an the wooden pegs, an doing some wood analysys on it these days with the technology they have. Wow!! That's was just really awesome that you got to check it out. An yes I would definitely go back an do some metal detecting while the tide is out around the old ship hull an the surrounding areas. You just never know what's waiting to be found. Every piece tells a story. Chigg a big thanks to you again for taking us all, on another great adventure with you. It was awesome. As always safe an happy hunting.😁👍👍
I'm like a little kid, Chigg waiting for new vids from Maine. This has been the best trip in my mind you have taken, the Az. trip was great, this is awsome!!
Please continue making videos. I watched your video saying you were gonna stop making videos but i enjoy them so much that it would make me sad to not see them anymore. Always a good time watching your videos. Sincerely, an avid viewer.
there's a lot of older history people are interested i in the new england area from what ive experienced that people are more interested in, but i do agree. They should've dated the wood or done a dig on it.
Chigg, you kill me!!! "OK, I have to leave ... just one more sweep ... hey, I haven't been looking in the green stuff ... well. one last sweep ... look how the tide has come up ... one last sweep ... Wow, I didn't see this little area ... just one more sweep ... I have to go ..." & 15 minutes later you are still there!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAW!!
Was this the final maine video ? Man I have been loving this series! Hate to see it come to an end! Great job on it though I have thoroughly enjoyed it!
Grew up in Maine and went to the beach every week to wander the waters edge around the Biddeford beaches. Never found a pipe in 10-15 years. Of course, never looked for more than beach glass.
Thank you for the pictures at the end chigger. I have been watching for years always makes me happy to see when you upload sir!!!! No matter what time it is... 2:51 am lol
If the shipwreck hasn't been thoroughly searched before, there could be cannons, anchors, cannon balls, and old coins! Probably would have to wait til high tide and scuba dive. I wouldn't want to walk in that mud 😂
I was stationed at NAS Brunswick back in the 90's. I got the XLT when it first came out....In those four years I found SO MUCH cool stuff .I only ever ran into one other person with a detector...once. There are spots like you were at everywhere....that area is great. Plan on many trips to that coastline and area. You wont be sorry.
Hello sir. I'm thankful for you videos and knowledge. Just watched a vid of you finding 127 coins. I really hope you return to that ship wreck in main. :) I was drueling. I'm new to the hobby. Just bought a Garret ace 300 anivsery bundle.
This was awesome Chigg and that boat hull way cool. The Smithsonian needs to come excavate it and preserve it for future study. It might turn out to be a very unique historical find?! I hate to see things like that just rot to nothing. Nice Indian, and bottles and finds. I do love a good mud-larking video. Thanks for taking us along. Have a great day!
There's a lot of cool stuff to find up here in Maine on the shore-lines. Not Civil War obviously, but Rev. war- and certainly trade. I've found lots of pipe stems and bowls, but you have to look hard. Like mudlarking the River Thames, it's not easy, but quite rewarding when you find things you can date and place in context. Thanks for these weird, no-at-all normal Chigg vids!
Yes, and it looks like a perfect place for ship building. It reminds me of a place on Prince Edward Island that was used for that purpose and with less evidence of the fact.
I’m really not here long...OH SHINY! I must be going...OH SHINY! I have to met up with a friend...tides coming in now..OH SHINY...boats all covered up now..OH SHINY! Gonna walk back now..OH TREASURE!
Wood cores from the ship would prove where she was built. I think that it's unlikely that the hull hasn't been metal detected already. Doesn't mean that there is nothing left to find though. Being wooden pegged at least takes most of the metal nails out of the equation.
Next time bring a strong stick, like a broom handle. All the good stuff gets stuck under the seaweed, if you poke around you'll find it. We get bottles, utensils, clay marbles... All kinds of treasures.
Read about that Sylpho-Nathol made by Cabot's. It was an antiseptic that was used back in the early 1900s. Made by the guy that brought us stains, water proof treatments, and Cabot's Quilt insulation. Cabot was a smart guy.
FYI, most ship wrights would place a coin in the mast step as good luck. It is usually dated the year of launch. If you get a chance to go back hit that wreck hard and see if you can find it.
Nice little lark - I think you do have to really slow down, let your eyes become attuned to spotting the treasure, but if you don't look you won't find! Neat part of the world, eh? Safe travels...😎👍🦘🐾
I hope you enjoy this little adventure.

Very relaxing half hour entertainment. Much better than the trash on TV.
I'm glad that you enjoyed Maine and hope that you come back again. I enjoy your videos so much!
I’d like to see you go back and detect that area.❤️
That was fun! Thanks for taking me with you! TFS Hugs!
That was fun. Thanks for taking us along. "The more you look, the more you find." Words to live by.
Oh my word, Chigg! How could you not detect that ship?!
im sure he'll be back, 2 vid for the price of one
Or if someone beats him to it lol

Those old parallel timbers sloping down into the water - look like an old slip-way for hauling out or launching boats.
Chigg; "Oh, look, a coin.... " me; WHAT?!!?!!!
Chigg: cool historic ship from war of 1812...as he walks all over the timbers and doesn’t detect. 🤣🤣 I’m worried about ya Beau! Lol
Lovin this Maine series Chigg!!
Shiver me timbers Mr chiggs chiggs love a good beach walk 😜👍
Not quite the Thames. Great to see you dabbling mudlarking stateside Chig. Thanks again.
👍you got to go back and find some good stuff.
I can hardly wait to see you find those gold pirate coins, Beau!!!
You so deserve it, even if you only find one!! That would be very
exciting! 😊🤗
I’m so jealous!!! I’m surprised that there isn’t some group looking into that for the history of it.
there's a lot of older history people are interested i in the new england area from what ive experienced that people are more interested in, but i do agree. They should've dated the wood or done a dig on it.
As a thick blooded Mainer I say hello and welcome to Maine bub!!!
That was a neat medicine bottle by Dr. BJ Kendall, I looked them up on line after watching the video! Great video and awesome shipwreck too!
Chigg, you kill me!!! "OK, I have to leave ... just one more sweep ... hey, I haven't been looking in the green stuff ... well. one last sweep ... look how the tide has come up ... one last sweep ... You should ALWAYS BRING YOUR METAL DETECTOR WITH YOU!!!!
That was the best yet. Except the island lol. Hope you have treasures for Ms Lindsey. Safe trip. Thank you for the travels.
Awesome. This was my favorite video from Maine.
Maine looks like it would be a very interesting place to live
It is. Lived here all my life.
Was this the final maine video ? Man I have been loving this series! Hate to see it come to an end! Great job on it though I have thoroughly enjoyed it!
Interesting finds today 👍😁👍
Grew up in Maine and went to the beach every week to wander the waters edge around the Biddeford beaches. Never found a pipe in 10-15 years. Of course, never looked for more than beach glass.

Really cool video Beau very much enjoyed watching that!
What a spot! Great video thanks for sharing!
Love the little Déjà vu bit. Nice.

Wow! Man I'd like to poke around that ol thing! Way cool!
Yes I'm glad u couldn't resist lol I wpudnt been able to either lol. It's so beautiful there
Great video Chigg GOD BLESS you and your family buddy Amen 🙏
Cabot's Sylpho-Nathol was antiseptic and disinfectant 1920ish bottle
The company, Cabot's, is still in business. m.cabotstain.com/about.php
If the shipwreck hasn't been thoroughly searched before, there could be cannons, anchors, cannon balls, and old coins! Probably would have to wait til high tide and scuba dive. I wouldn't want to walk in that mud 😂
Great! Always prefer your SOLO ADVENTURES.
You know it's a good day when you find an Indian head penny on the surface, just walking around. So cool Chigg..
Fabulously done, AC!
Cool finds. I've been watching too many gold prospecting videos seeing all that bedrock and gravel I'm like scrape and pan all that🤣🤣

p.s. it's best to just turn off the camera and turn it back on when you find something.
Dude you make the best videos! Lol
Always enjoy chigg 🙃
Thanx Chigg love going eyeballing.... we do it ALOT on Lake WESTPOINT, WestPoint , GA. In the winter.... see ya on the next
Those Maine fisherman are probably jumping for joy over getting their 5,000 sq miles back to fish in.
The way that area looks around the ship, almost looks like an old dry dock.
If Chigg had his detector he probably would have found the cannons!
Or a slipway to launch boats at high tide.
Yes, and it looks like a perfect place for ship building. It reminds me of a place on Prince Edward Island that was used for that purpose and with less evidence of the fact.

Awesome video!!👍👍
How could you not run the metal detector over that! Pretty sure it is a crime to miss such an opportunity.
Sure enjoyed seeing you up here looking around.
Ahh boyyy you wanted a coin or button and ya got your wish and gots the coin ahhh boyyy good stuff
Fantastic video, especially with the possible historic ship find!
Saw some of those bottles on the net. They must have corrected the spelling of Relief from the Releif on yours! Maybe unique!
Fab find :) someone needs to get some archaeologists checking that boat out :D
I liked your Mudlarking.
Some treasures are camera shy. 😂
Nice one Chigg xxx 🇮🇲

Why did he not wash the penny of in the water? It's been sitting in the wet ground for 100 years
You have become jaded. It would make my day, maybe week, to find one of those patent medicine bottles unbroken.
Read about that Sylpho-Nathol made by Cabot's. It was an antiseptic that was used back in the early 1900s. Made by the guy that brought us stains, water proof treatments, and Cabot's Quilt insulation. Cabot was a smart guy.
"The more you look, the more you find'!!! Chigg.... you probably ougt to write that down!!! 8^D

Good video.
Thanks.
That ship is cool 😎
Nice little lark - I think you do have to really slow down, let your eyes become attuned to spotting the treasure, but if you don't look you won't find! Neat part of the world, eh? Safe travels...😎👍🦘🐾
The spelling error on that Dr. BJ Kendall bottle is almost as interesting as the bottle itself.
Hope you go back to that ship and detect the area. Nice finds
Love it.
I live in Maine you should metal detect in Bucksport around Fort Knox
You definitely have to go back and detect there!
Don't know why Billy didn't take you to that spot during your stay--that site was rich! I really enjoyed this video. Stay curious, Aquachigger. :)
Awesome, silverware. It's June 17th and it looks like it's still cold in Maine. So enjoy the Mudlarken
One of those heavy beams would make a very cool mantle for a fireplace.
Ya never know what ya don’t know, ya know...right Chigg?
syphyl-nathol used as a disinfectant (coal tar based ) from the early 1900's
Hi Chigg! 3:38 looks like a small anchor stock
Hey man thanks for the video I enjoyed it and yes I think you should go back there and metal detect whenever you get back in that area again
Wow we have one out in are bay here where I dig clams and pick wrinkles out in Pembroke Maine I live in Perry on the pleasant point reservation
Every Maine episode needs to end with you cracking a claw and dipping it in butter!
