I have the 3.5 v6 and surprisingly not that bad on fuel. Highway driving on cruise control can deliver 40 mpg. The prestige model has a better spec than the one reviewed with full leather and 300 bhp power output. Ref the infotainment system, you can buy an aux box which replaces the CD input on the back of the manufacturers stereo. This allows you to install a dashboard mount Android auto / car play head unit. Fyi, don't pull the standard unit as there are hidden menus with dashboard and engine telemetry. Download google translate and use your smart phone camera to translate the buttons. One thing I would recommend is have an exhaust resonator delete ( 3 resonators in total) as it changes the car from being almost EV like to having a lovely sporty mid-range growl that isn't over powering. Sadly, there are no tuning options in the UK due to the lack of numbers and relative obscurity as the transmission could benefit from having a slightly more aggressive torque converter profile, especially between 2 - 3,000 rpms. I bought the car for £3,000 with 80k miles on a 2008 plate and spent around £2k on servicing (parts plus labour which included the cambelt / water pump kit). The Android Auto head unit and aux box cost £160. The resonator delete was £210 but money well spent. A real plus as per the reviewed vehicle is the build quality and solid feel very much out classes any Euro version of a people carrier. Everything feels very solidly built and no light weight at just under 2 tonnes. Parts / service items were sourced through Torque GT in Plymouth who used a combination of Honda UK and ordering from Japan. Even the Japanese parts were ordered and received within 4 weeks. This sounds like a long time but so long as you do a regular maintenance schedule and proactively deal with problems, the delays shouldn't significantly impact your motoring experience.

Fyi, avoid the 2.4 engine as you get significantly less power and subsequently, fuel economy is no better than the 3.5 v6. The last JDM I had was a Subaru turbo and whilst this is no Subaru as far as performance is concerned, it gets off the line quite nicely. My Elysion is also on coilovers which makes it handle surprisingly well for what is a barge like vehicle. Brakes also perform pretty well considering the weight they have to stop. Best feedback I have had so far is 'the fastest hearse in the west' or 'is that a pimped up Uber?' :)'

Thanks for the info you gave. The fuel economy is the only thing I’m concerned about. I do a lot of long distances though, so I would get the best of economy. Is it really capable of almost 40mph on a run, say 50 or 100 miles motorway?

@@David-cm4ok latest update if you are buying an an Elysion, the other major jobs you might need to consider are inner drive shafts and IMS bearings. I am waiting on my set arriving from Japan at a cost of £720 from Torque GT. Fitting is around 2 hours labour time. I am also getting the front discs and pads done as they seem to have warped with the recent hot weather (Cost £210 supplied and fitted). Once the mechanical stuff is done, time for the alloy refurb and a set of nice barkie back boxes to really accent that lovely J35 motor.

The 2.4 is about 28ish I would say, the v6 is much worse but does drive better
