- Welcome to another Train Guide video! In today's video we take a look at the Class 70, which is available in both Freightliner and Colas Freight liveries. We look at the background and history of the Class 70, the technical specifications and then take a tour of the cab.

Hello, just a point about wheel notation.
The letter denotes the number of powered axles, A = 1, B = 2, etc, & the number refers to unpowered axles. So, the Deltics' notation was A1A-A1A, as only the outer 2 axles on each 3-wheeled bogie was driven.
C0-C0 denotes 3 driven axles, no unpowered axles.

Really enjoying this "train guide" series, but I notice you haven't made one in a while. (Or maybe they're just not in the playlist?) I'd sure love to see more of them. Might I suggest the Class 37.

***** Thank you :) I've not seen a Colas Class 70 yet. It's rare to see freight around here unfortunately, but I do occasionally see some when I'm in London.
I haven't used this loco for a while but i believe (from memory alone) that there is another screen you can select on the cab computers which shows the load being applied to the coupling.
Daniel Gregory I didn't realise that if there is, I'll have to check it out and see if you can select that on the cab computers. I rarely drive this loco lol :)
I can see it's American heritage on the display screens, reminds me of the dash 9.

The class 70 is an interesting looking beast isn't it? I didn't know it was a diesel electric either so I've certainly learnt something.

Kirkinstein Well I don't mind if you keep saying it, I always appreciate hearing from people who enjoy what I do! :) .. It takes many hours to make videos like I do, and hearing others tell me they like the video or keep up the good work encourages me to keep going :)
As for the freight containers, when in the scenario editor I just double click on a wagon and then a box comes up on the right. In that there's a little tick box, and when you tick it it adds containers onto the wagons :)

t3l3phasicworksh0p I've just bought the full Class 60 Advanced Pack from Just Trains recently which is a penny shy of £20 but its well worth the money. I can "just" play TS2015 on this PC I am using but I cannot make any videos because Fraps just kills my FPS making it very laggy. So it will have to wait until the end of May when I get a proper dedicated gaming machine as I will be doing videos of this fantastic game and reviewing all of the add-ons I buy. I just cannot recommend this Class 60 add-on enough. The price is justified for what you get and I shall be getting the Armstrong Powerhouse Class 60 sound pack to complement this excellent Class 60 pack.

I tried installing he colas reskin and put the fl.geopx file in the folder but it crashes the game when I enter custom train help please
PTG - you might also want to publicise your steam username so that people can gift you TS2015 DLC if they want to see a particular route or train that you don't have.

PTGRail To be fair, it was the shunters fault, he didn't set the route correctly, but then the driver didn't check to see his route was set and ran through the points, which means a whole new set is needed. Replaced them on a really hot day, ended up with sun stroke lol. Just recently, same shunter, same train but different driver, ran through a different set lol

If GE want into the European market then they should get European Train designers because this American stuff doesn’t look right on U.K. rails
The 70's are technically advanced and no doubt useful for purpose, but they are REALLY ugly and very American in appearance and construction
