It's funny playing Final Fight and Street Fighter II on mame, then comparing them to the SNES there is such a difference in music and missing animations, I didn't even notice how big the changes were back then. Makes it a lot easier to compare living in the information age. :)
The entire soundtrack is great. I'm partial to 14:22 and 17:44. The ending theme (41:59) is one of the most impressive I've heard at capturing a bittersweet mood in a video game. I'd say it's the most nostalgic tune in there.
Picking up Edi E.'s gum with full health is, by far, the single highest point pickup item in the game. In fact, it is worth more points than all other actions in the game, except for killing Abigail and Belger.
The Andores are nightmares, especially in all of the last stage and in that cage obstacle on stage 3. I wish there was a way of not having to deal with them at all. Sheesh

So, I cheated here but I'm still proud of not losing a life on the hardest difficulty. I actually did it twice but my first attempt lost too much health so I didn't upload it to TH-cam. Maybe I'll be able to achieve it without turbo one day. Also, I learned new strategies for this game after watching the videos on your channel so I could do better next time.

Turbo control or not that game is hard. The double Andre idk why whenever k face them I hit them and then they are like invincible to a extent where they can hit me like a glitch but I have beaten it without a hit but that was on pc lol good job bro! Abigail was the biggest obstacle for me. But you also need to worry about the enemies that join him during the fight. Sometimes, they can walk around to the other side and ruin the whole thing.
Final fight is a hard game to no death a turbo controller still would not get u through this game the arcade is even more brutal , it takes pure skill to perfect a game like this....turbo controller makes it easier on the fingers but won't get u through this game if u don't access a little skill and method ....i have not no death this yet but im getting there.......good job on the game play

this is definitely not actually on a real SNES, and most likely tool assisted. I can do the double punch/punch behind/double punch repeat combo, too, but the thing is, there are a lot of sections of the game which drop input because of the SNES lagging and it does not work so smoothly like this. I don't think the Abigail fight would ever go so smoothly again, especially the way the minions walked right into the punches every time. And I dont think you could catch abigail with a punch outside of the very start of the fight once interrupted.
It's not tool assisted. It was done on an actual Super Nintendo console. I used a Dazzle DVC 100 to directly capture the video & audio from my television. I can also tell you that this took more than a few attempts because I had trouble with multiple sections, Abigail being one of them.
If you press L+R+Start, it goes to a menu to help you through the game. I never really needed it cause I could just press start and make it through the game no problem

In Final Fight 2 and 3 they made it better with 3 and 4 characters plus 2 player mode. For the Guy-fans, there exist also a version of Final Fight 1 with Guy instead of Cody and some added details - named Final Fight Guy...

Two things forced me into using turbo. 1. I couldn't get the timing down for the all jab, shifting tactic without it 2. The amount of button pressing was wearing on my thumb too much I'm not proud of using auto-fire. It was just necessary for me here. Maybe I'll figure out some new strats one day and be able to make a no death run without turbo.

Even though it was a downgrade from the arcade (mainly, far fewer enemies onscreen), there's no reason this couldn't have been on the SNES classic.

@@colinbradfield72 Ohh, I get you now. You're right. That indicator is annoying when you stop to think about it. I probably got so used to seeing and hearing it that I put it out of my head and focused on clearing the screen of enemies.
