The funniest thing about Barker's version being retired due to the need for editing in post-production is that nowadays TPiR probably has more segments that are heavily edited than are actually shown as shot.
I liked this game better that “Too Much” and “The Spot” but with 2003’s quick retirement, it was becoming too obvious that until Half Off (though Coming or Going is okay) the Pricing Game Imagineers were in such a huge slump. Didn’t help matters that around this exact same time, they let classic games like Penny Ante sit in the rain.
There was an episode of Drew Carey's Price Is Right At Night version in which a contestant won $200,000 on the very first attempt in which I haven't seen anyone else done since.
At least once last season, someone actually won the $20,000 top prize without needing a second chance but before then, there was a contestant named Britney who won $20,000 but that was when the show was taped with a pre-recorded audience and with social distancing rules due to COVID-19
I don't mind Time is Money. If I were to tweak it I would give the contestant five more seconds to put the products in place initially. Pretty hard to do anything but just throw them up there and hope for the best with ten seconds.
Not really 2 years. The last win was on The Price Is Right At Night in February special on primetime this year. The contestant won $200,000 at a nighttime special.
That's funny, I just watched another TH-cam video with a full game of time is money with Barker. The think music was intact. It was the exact one from the first thumbnail you showed.
I just watched a playng of this, and the contestant was going to haul only 1 product over at a time. It does seem like they could have put the tables closer to each other so that there's less awkward carrying of items.
Time is Money, then, is really the only retired game that was resurrected, right? I think that there should be something done with the time, too. They need more than 10 seconds, or at least a second amount of seconds before the actual countdown of the money starts.
Good to keep them separated, but the Carey version of Time is Money should have been in its own video and not in the same video as the Barker version, similar to the 2 Balance Games. Good video nonetheless.
Fact about this game and me: I hate this game. The fact that you have to constantly move products around is infuriating. Race game gets a pass since its easily winnable :)
I detest this game in it's current format. It has terrible play along factor. I always fast forward thru this game. It ranks 112 out of 112 on my list. On the Spot. Professor Price and even Bullseye I outshine this crappy game
Uh. $20k is top possible prize. If $20k not won game is not considered won. Just like plinko has never been won. Can be nice consolation prizes but still not a win win
3:51 don’t even look at the audience or you’re almost guaranteed to hear Dr. Trombones.
I don't know if I'll be _coming or going_ to your next video, but I look forward to it!

For some reason there is a group of people out there who only consider the daytime version and pretend anything else does not exist.

The current version of this game reminds me a bit of the game show "Idiotest!", with the prize money siphoning away over time.

As I recall, during the 50th Season premiere, It was played for $1,000,000. (Wasn't won)
Oh, the next game isn't that unique on its own (I know which one it is: Coming or Going), but it does have a significant but saddening fact about it.
BION, I NEVER saw the Barker version of TIME IS MONEY. LOL!! I didn't even know it existed! LOL!!(x2)

gerry wilson like this where is stack the deck
Both versions of Time is Money are excellent. 😀👍

Great job on covering both versions! I didn’t even realize there was a version 1 until recently. 🤷🏾♀️
I despise this game. Not too many winners, especially the Drew Carey version.
This is a hard game and not won very often. Some fans think this game should be retired
And I am one of them!

I get it because the button is not included until the money counts down.
This is absolutely the worst game ever.
That honor goes to That's Too Much, IMO.
@@TheBattyviewerthat game was played too much back in 2012-2013. I only liked seeing the game played during the Barker era.
I wholeheartedly agree. This game is like a strong wind...it blows. I wish someone at CBS would Penny Ante this stupid game
