Speaking of CPR (~2:20), there should probably be a basic first aid episode. It isn't very fitting for the gentleman/rogue aspect, but a warrior should probably know some first aid. Plus, with the amount you guys hurt yourselves, learning how to properly deal with injuries would be good for you anyways.
It is very fitting for the gentleman rogue. So when you, in the most civilized and yet fiendish way, knife/saber/longsword/krav-maga your fellow rogues you can fix them up to go get sophisticated drinks and thermite steak afterwards.
Props to Jason for being a trooper. I would hate the muffled sound and the dark, and I can't breath trough my nose real well so that seems like a nightmare... Also, loved the Batman "mirror" joke. I was thinking it right before he did it lol.
I've done something similar to this, it's not scary or anything, and once you get over the weird feeling of people rubbing stuff onto your face it starts to feel like your consciousness is floating away, and it's super trippy.
I would probably fall asleep in one of those. The darkness and the muffled sound would be so calming, along with the rubbing and massaging, man I'd love it.
As a claustrophobe I am super impressed with Jason's composure in this, especially with all the joking around!! It's really important that you showed how careful Bill was to keep checking in with him, and to warn him when putting the silicone around his eyes for the first time! Please, if you are going to try this yourselves, don't be a dick around your friends, subjecting themselves to this is super brave!!!
"theres a remover for the medical adhesive." *dips in gasoline and burns* "correction you will have a shower cap stuck to your head for the rest of time."
I have done something similar to this, thought not as much... and it is a surreal experience not just anyone can handle. He did a FANTASTIC job sitting still and not freaking out, especially with the jokes about it going HORRIBLY wrong being thrown out. Bravo my good sir.. bravo....
Fun fact: it's called live casting because in the middle ages they used to do this to the deceased for families to keep a momento called a "Death Mask" of their loved ones , but since your model is alive it is called a "Live Cast" *cue The More You Know theme*
Every version you see yourself is always some projection of your 3D face onto a 2D surface...I was extremely interested in how this boy would react to seeing his face and it was very cool!
To make a second head for my costume for my 21st birthday (I went as Zaphod Beeblebrox), we made a cast of my face using bandages soaked in plaster of paris then my friend used automotive filler to coat the inside of the mould and create a rigid positive cast of my face - which we then put onto a head-shaped styrofoam wig stand, stuck a wig on it and rigged up a way to secure it to my shoulder. My dad wondered where we found an artificial head that looked so similar to me.
you missed some NERF New Economy Research Fund (New Zealand) NERF Non-Exclusive, Royalty-Free (licensing) NERF North East Reconstruction Fund (World Bank; Sri Lanka)
They'd have to place Jason's head in a vaccum chamber for that, which I feel like would not be pleasant or survivable. The silicon would create bubbles as they brush it all on, so no point in placing it in a vaccum chamber before hand.
I love seeing these collabs with Bill, I've been a follower of his content for years and its great to see you guys making content together! And props to Jason for pushing through this! The sensory deprivation can be disorienting. The second time I had my face cast (in plaster bandages for a temporary, water soluble cast), my "caretakers" took me on a 30 minute walk while the plaster dried. It remains as one of the most vivid sensory memories of the past 3 years.
If Jason ever needs a sick day, just put some makeup on that thing, edit in some 80s and 90s movie and video game references and the odd sexual innuendo and we good.
You now have a handy dandy target to aim your improvised weapons at without all the messy blood and worker's comp that using the real Jason would entail.
I just learned of Bill thanks to a Maker Box from Adam Savage, then a girl I work with asked if I watched his channel when we got talking cosplay. Now he's a guest for you guys. Funny how things happen.
i love longer episodes like this. This is the only channel I can say with full 100% confidence that I've seen every single video you've produced and not only that but I've loved every Single one!!!!!!!!!!
13:19 Brian: "I'm really surprised at how much of Jason's features come through even when it's covered this much" Bill: "This doesn't need to be pretty"
@34:36 this thought struck me. "Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio, a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy. He hath borne me on his back a thousand times, and now, how abhorred in my imagination it is! My gorge rises at it. Here hung those lips that I have kissed I know not how oft. -Where be your gibes now? Your gambols?" Hamlet: Act 5 Scene 1, Page 8
I did this in school. Well, something like it, anyway. We didn't use any silicon, and we only covered the front face in plaster to make a mask. We also used paper towels on the face so that it wasn't as painful when we took it off. We did it for an Egyptian death mask project. No one died.
Nerf is actually not an acronym, it comes from nerf-balls one of nerfs first products it was a ball designed to not damage people or items it was thrown at, but the acronym probably popped up on a forum somewhere deep in the bowels ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) of the internet
I love watching two men touch another man's face while hearing "Run my finger in there" and "You can never have too much petroleum jelly" within three minutes
I would use that head as a halloween decoration. Just paint it flesh tan and maybe fill in the neck hole and paint it blood red. Ta da, instant nightmares for all the trick or treater's.
The Modern Rogue Well he probably meant what's happening from "the outside" I guess...? Then again, these are TH-cam comments. When were they ever required to make sense?

Hey Shwood! Should we already have gotten an e-mail for last week's giveaway? I didn't get mine.
Am I the only one who wants a Jason head?
The Modern Rogue i remember using plaster bandages in my ceramics class to make a cast of my hand and the plaster was freezing
Thanks for having me! It was a lot of fun to help Jason turn into guacamole-not-Tom-cruise
I'm checking out your channel next. I saw you had a Junkrat.

So funny, made me laugh a couple of times haha
Sleeping Skeleton he isn’t worried he’s happy, look at that mischievous smile
Please use the mold to make a chocolate Jason
Viktor this is the best idea. Ever.
Viktor what you think this is, king of random
Viktor Blargh. I actually hate chocolate. Lol!
Jason Murphy Brian would probably enjoy eating you though......wait a minute
Jason Murphy You must become what you hate. Use your hatred to bring fear to your enemies. You must become... *The Chocolate Man*
*sticks giant clay Squidward nose onto Murphy's head*
"There. Now, it's art!"
Lena Oxton bold and brash
+Logan Angellotti
More like "Belongs in the Trash"!
I love how sarcastic Jason is without words.
Found this channel from Bill and so glad we did!! It's awesome to find more TX makers :D
Nice
Hi you guys are awesome
Who would know that a single comment would lead to the critical mistake and the jingleblaster
Chase Owens Yeah, we’re certainly going to cover that at some point.
awesome!
Gonna be honest, I didn't expect a reply, but cool. I look forward to it.
Give this good man a three quarters bottle of beer.
It is very fitting for the gentleman rogue. So when you, in the most civilized and yet fiendish way, knife/saber/longsword/krav-maga your fellow rogues you can fix them up to go get sophisticated drinks and thermite steak afterwards.
Anyone else laugh when the prosthetic guy said "we need to glue this to him,so I have super... medical glue"
Can't wait to see Jason's Face hidden in the background of future videos. Like the alien in South Park.
Pete the Paper Boat lol!!
Props to Jason for being a trooper. I would hate the muffled sound and the dark, and I can't breath trough my nose real well so that seems like a nightmare...
Also, loved the Batman "mirror" joke. I was thinking it right before he did it lol.
Heh. Glad someone got the Batman reference.
wanpakudanpu sounds relaxing
Ya I hate breathing through my nose aswell
I've done something similar to this, it's not scary or anything, and once you get over the weird feeling of people rubbing stuff onto your face it starts to feel like your consciousness is floating away, and it's super trippy.
Yeah, I’d have struggled with the claustrophobia too.
I would probably fall asleep in one of those. The darkness and the muffled sound would be so calming, along with the rubbing and massaging, man I'd love it.
where could I buy a foam Jason head... need a new headphone stand.
Sport-A-Flop Hot Topic. ;)
I could stand to make an actual VR storage station. Fuck now I really want a Jason head.
Jason Murphy seriously Jason id consider buying one for like 75 bucks
0ne Shot Paddy not from him that shit was ass Foreals
@@somerandomguy1522 so your the expert on props then huh?
Patreon award, the head of Commander Jason Murphy, the irishman who fought back the changeling aliens with potatoes
Snowy Silverclaw Ha!!!!!
Jason you shoulda did the scream when holding the cast LOL the one from the NordVPN ad
Hes IRISH?
....
Cool
It's so weird not hearing Jason for more then a couple minutes.....it honestly makes for a less funny episode.
Arcane_Rogue yes but he made some funny momments even with the mask on
Just leave this in the background of every video
Inching ever closer to the camera with each video
GunsIndustry no
2:13 solid fucking handshake. modern rouge needs to teach etiquette. disguise it as "spy manners"
Anthony Zubia Not a bad idea!
*girlfriend* : "Do these pants make me look fat?"
*Me* 11:18
As a claustrophobe I am super impressed with Jason's composure in this, especially with all the joking around!! "theres a remover for the medical adhesive."
*dips in gasoline and burns*
"correction you will have a shower cap stuck to your head for the rest of time."
Man, the episodes with Bill are always great. Fantastic job as always, keep it up!
Yeeeeee.
I love the show, this is what I would call a modern day Mythbusters. Keep it up guys!
I have done something similar to this, thought not as much... and it is a surreal experience not just anyone can handle. He did a FANTASTIC job sitting still and not freaking out, especially with the jokes about it going HORRIBLY wrong being thrown out. Bravo my good sir.. bravo....
Oh nice! I only just realised that was grace. I really like these collaborations with other creators
Myself, as well. But, you'll never see me fall from... ah, who am I kidding, I sprained an ankle
Giga Atom this was their worst video they saved it
Behold, the quietest Jayson's ever been in a video.
Anyone seen Psych where there's a pineapple in every episode? Sounds like you guys have to do that with Jason's second head. That'd be hysterical!
21:28 “Just for once...let me look on you with my own eyes...”
Serious Return of the Jedi vibes
The cameramen are definitely fans of Kubrick. That beginning shot on the child was so Kubrick-esque! Good job
Not intentional, but possibly an internalization. I really admire a good chunk of Kubrick's work.
Braden Hughs, Brandt Hughes, hmmmmmm
Fun fact: it's called live casting because in the middle ages they used to do this to the deceased for families to keep a momento called a "Death Mask" of their loved ones , but since your model is alive it is called a "Live Cast" *cue The More You Know theme*
Such an underrated channel, thank you for putting out uploads even with that said!
Spread the word!
I'll do what I can! I've always wanted to comment this but never got around to it. I look forward to these videos every week! Cheers!
Every version you see yourself is always some projection of your 3D face onto a 2D surface...I was extremely interested in how this boy would react to seeing his face and it was very cool!

We can solve that bubbles problem through a vacuum chamber
They'd have to place Jason's head in a vaccum chamber for that, which I feel like would not be pleasant or survivable. The silicon would create bubbles as they brush it all on, so no point in placing it in a vaccum chamber before hand.
thegassyaustralian nope they got to put silicon in vacuum chamber
MOEEN UD DIN Yup, No other choice.
poiuytrewq11422 upto personal preference
thegassyaustralian Whoosh
The cut scenes of Jason rotating and showing the casting on his head are so surrealist and horror-y. I love it.
Well now you gotta fill it with jello or ballistic gel
Stay tuned
Bounty Hunter Bob we got headphone stand, balistic gel, anf many others... stay tuned. XD i am waiting too...
The Modern Rogue foreshadowing
If I don't wake up in the morning with a Jason head inexplicably hidden in my mailbox I'm going to be very disappointed.
Thanks Murphy for all that you do! You put up with so much! 😎
🦇
I love seeing these collabs with Bill, I've been a follower of his content for years and its great to see you guys making content together!
And props to Jason for pushing through this! The sensory deprivation can be disorienting. It remains as one of the most vivid sensory memories of the past 3 years.
So when do Jason heads hit the store/patreon
28:06 - 28:18 Total dad moment, that's the exact way my dad argues with people! I love it.
If Jason ever needs a sick day, just put some makeup on that thing, edit in some 80s and 90s movie and video game references and the odd sexual innuendo and we good.

14:19 You could see Brian realization when H e saw what Bucket Grace was using
For the longest time I thought Bill Doran was actually Builder Ann
I just learned of Bill thanks to a Maker Box from Adam Savage, then a girl I work with asked if I watched his channel when we got talking cosplay. Now he's a guest for you guys. Funny how things happen.
i love longer episodes like this. This is the only channel I can say with full 100% confidence that I've seen every single video you've produced and not only that but I've loved every Single one!!!!!!!!!!
Nice🙋♀️
.... and speaking about the next episode ... why not show how you capture someone else face and 3D print it ... hmm
I like this idea
I think the profile pic is very appropriate.
jason cant speak
13:19
Brian: "I'm really surprised at how much of Jason's features come through even when it's covered this much"
Bill: "This doesn't need to be pretty"
Jason Murphy.. more like Jason Mumphy...
Sorry that was my attempt at a mummy joke
Antoni Vallejos well it was a good attempt
@34:36 this thought struck me.
Your gambols?"
Hamlet: Act 5 Scene 1, Page 8
You're a little late for this topic, my geography teacher has already copied Jason's face
FakeN hold up, I want one
TBonegod111 I think he just means his teacher looks like Jason
So did my physics teacher
There's nothing like Brian's laugh to enhance a nice amount of chaos and mayhem!
*I felt so bad for Grace! She just stood in the corner for the whole video. Kinda like me in every party I've imagined not going to.*
21:06 I couldn't stop fucking laughing. This is why Jason's my favourite.
Dear modern rouge you should learn how to fence (epee)
Foil or saber would be good as well, but as an epeeist myself I have to agree with you 100%.
Sabre seems like more their speed. Also kendo
Hayden Lau really I think foil or epee would be better because they are slower
Who1235 Games
Yeah, bit Sabre is more fun. You can slash with it. I think they would enjoy that more.
A year later, it happened
I love how Brian couldn't stop laughing at the pruno bucket of water 14:16
Heh
So I know this video is like a year old I just noticed Jason's name is green in the beginning credits.
Bill: I’ve got kinda a puppet here
Jason: *SCREAM OF GENUINE FEAR*
This guy is funny. This girl is pretty. This episode is captivating. Thanks guys
Zonbi being there is the closest I’ve gotten yet to a “modern rogue” “rooster teeth” collaboration. But there’s always hope.
Without hair, jason looks like the bad guy from the first iron-man
RNLgaming99 Jeff Bridges? Perfect.
Jason Murphy yeah that's the one
Obidias stain
That was a definition of Ballast,
"Ballast is material that is used to provide stability to a vehicle or structure"
I feel like I would need to sneeze so bad
Jason did if you watch the outtakes
THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING
2:40 Jason looks like he is a little kid about to get a haircut but his mom is deciding what to get for him.
zach iscool XD
Those molds are going to come in real handy for the Modern Rogue bank robbing episode. Just saying. Nice new doo, Jason.
18 months on and I'm still amazed at how much of Jasons character still comes through even though he can't speak or emote
"Non-Expanding Recreational Foam" is a backronym. Nerf was named after the foam padding that off-the-road enthusiasts wrapped around their roll-bars.
I LOVE WHERE THIS IS GOING
TWO OF THE CHANNELS I FOLLOW THE MOST
Davide De Cicco Vuolo Thanks!!!!
The father -Jason the son - alien child. And now we have the hold ghost! - mold Jason
I did this in school. Well, something like it, anyway. We didn't use any silicon, and we only covered the front face in plaster to make a mask. We also used paper towels on the face so that it wasn't as painful when we took it off. We did it for an Egyptian death mask project. No one died.
I don't know why, but something about this episode made it like 10 times more pleasant to listen to!
27:50 I thought Murphy was holding a beer at first 😂
Nerf is actually not an acronym, it comes from nerf-balls one of nerfs first products it was a ball designed to not damage people or items it was thrown at, but the acronym probably popped up on a forum somewhere deep in the bowels ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) of the internet
Yup. Seems like that's the case.
Thanks for the reply Jason
Actually it *is* an acronym that stands for Non Expanding Recreational Foam. They got the name from the foam.
“I practiced” I imagine Jason just sat staring at the camera for half an hour, completely still
TheSleepingInsomniac I have a secret TH-cam channel of just that.
Jason Murphy if I find that channel it will get +1 sub
You guys should make make with the head and join an assassin group like aria in game of thrones
Kalvin Loewen Valar morghulis
Love how this turned out! Was so much fun watching this happen live
We need more SFX like fake wounds and things like that!
00011theman that is eazy to do
00011theman there are tutorials for that
There's also tutorials to spell "easy" right, and to mold a face but I don't see you using them either.
You merely adopted molding, Jason was born in it, *MOLDED* by it
Zonbi!!! I love her
I love feeling like I'm listening to my lo-fi hip-hop 24/7 spotify playlists while watching TH-cam.
Is there a bad episode of the modern rogue? Coz I haven’t found one👌🏻
@27:15 I also don't like it when liquid comes out of noses. Thank you for this preventative measure.
I got the Mork reference and i'm only 17, my parents raised me on the classics.
Arcane_Rogue Perfect
You must have been born in the wrong generation.
Bill: Jason’s excited about that, I can tell Jason: 🗿
LANDMINES HAVE TAKEN MY SIGHT
I love watching two men touch another man's face while hearing "Run my finger in there" and "You can never have too much petroleum jelly" within three minutes
Yellow+blue= Blellow
ive watched all three channels seperately for ages and then i just found this gem. im proud of myself
19:23 the scariest nun Iv ever seen
Or a melty George Washington
I would use that head as a halloween decoration. Just paint it flesh tan and maybe fill in the neck hole and paint it blood red. Ta da, instant nightmares for all the trick or treater's.
It's funny how Brian is trying to act like he knows what's happening.
I don’t follow. Did you miss the part where I had been through this process before?
The Modern Rogue Well he probably meant what's happening from "the outside" I guess...?
Then again, these are TH-cam comments. When were they ever required to make sense?
BRO! I"VE LITERALLY BEEN WAITING ALL DAY FOR THIS!!!!
NEW ON Scam Stuff ... Jason's head...
You guys are the coolest lol always fun to check in on you goofs and what kind of shenanigans you two are up too!!!
We did this in school for art it’s really weird
Now I want to see Genuine Modern Rogue Ballast Cups added to the store.
Pruno bucket!!!
Oh my god! This is one of my favorite episodes! So great and hilarious! It's also got two of my favorite You Tube people in it!
