Hi Sandra, can't waits to see if those tieks are real! Our thrift stores in California have up the prices so much, it makes it hard to shop good deals.
I'll definitely share when I find out. Some stores are getting real pricey here. I just hope the others don't follow suit or else i'm going to have to switch my sourcing strategy.
@@SandraTheMomBossour local goodwill is more expensive than the ones in Fort Worth. Someone doing the pricing knows their brands. I am in Texas too.

Hi Nancy. Yes, I'm currently focusing on just shoes. I'm starting to miss clothes, but I want to get my processes as effecient as possible before I add another category . I live in Mesquite and source all over the DFW including Dallas.

Wow very nice haul. I've struggled lately to find lower prices. Looks like you're only selling shoes now. So interesting. Any shipping tips for shoes on Ebay?
Thanks. Prices have increased slightly here too. For eBay listings I offer priority or ground advantage options. When they choose priority I always go with the USPS box labeled "shoe box". When they choose ground advantage I ship in brown boxes I get on eBay.

Definitely good to pause when something so peculiar would happen such as a huge lot of tieks in great condition! But looking across the internet, nobody seems to be making fakes. Usually there would be temu or Amazon look alikes but nothing that I saw! Wild!
Very wild! I did more research and didn't find anything either. Now I wish I would have gotten all of them. I went ahead and listed the 2 I got. We'll see how it goes.

As a new re seller myself, I would like to ask you a question
I started re selling on ebay about a month ago, The first couple of weeks were great
But it's been almost 2 weeks that nothing is moving
I basically sold my personal items
Bit i haven't sell anything that i picked up from thrift stores
I thought they were great items to re sell
What could be the reason why I'm not selling my items
Bad Listing?
Prices are too high?

It could be any of these things bad pictures, bad title, not enough item specifics filled out, too high price, too low price (makes people think something is wrong). If all that is good and items are still sitting it could just be that the demand for the item is not there. They may still sell but it's going to take longer. I'm rooting for you. I hope you start to see momentum again. Thanks for watching!

Awesome haul!How do you desl with hige inventory on ebay? I dont have a ebay store yet but Iam at the point that when items relist themselves they charge me because i go over the # of listings allowed for free. Do you delist them before rhey relist or do you have a ebay store? Thanks!
I end the items and sell similar. It maybe worth getting a store subscription. Then you'd get a ton of free listings. I list 10 a day relist about 5 on most days. I never go over the limit. I have never seen or heard of tieks fakes. Those look real to me! When you said you left all those behind I was like nooooooo!!

Dang those olive J.Crew tassel loafer were hot but not my size. I don't know where you shop for shoes but my thrift stores shoe prices are $10 and up and I will buy them for myself at those prices because there the right price for me but no so sure about resell because with you give Poshmark, tax, shipping and them being used, how much do you price a shoe to sale.
You had some very interesting shoe style that you grabbed.

Wow you really find a lot of pre-owned shoes in great condition. I don't have the confidence to do many style-based pickups. Every time I try, I'm always late to the game and then they sit!
Sadly, Adidas changed their Stan Smiths and they are no longer made out of real leather. They do have a couple new premium models that are made of leather but I don't pick up the non leather ones anymore, preferring the vintage which still have a following and the ones I buy to keep for myself.
I can resell just about all the barefoot/zero drop/ toe finger shoe brands almost immediately: Lems, Altra, Xero, Vibram Five Fingers, Vivobarefoot, Merrill Vapor, Adidas Adipure, New Balance Minimus. Also the Nike Rift split toe shoes. I'm really careful with popular Nike because there are so many fakes out there, but I pick up the Nike Shox whenever I see them.. They will sell even when beat up.
I'm trying to breakout of my shell and pick up more athletic styles. Thanks for sharing all that info. It's helpful!
I have not seen tieks faked to be honest. I sure wish you had grabbed them all😳. They look amazing!
Maybe that's why there wasn't that much information about it. When I found Rothy's for the first time years ago It was easy to find authentication info, but not Tieks. If I had just found 1 or 2 I wouldn't have second guessed it so much. 10 like new Tieks for so cheap seemed so odd.
Hi Sandra you must have good thrift stores around you if all those shoes are sourced locally I'm in North Houston the shoes are priced high the goodwill shoes are nasty I like selling shoes but good price are hard here in my area
What do you do when you get lowballed a price for your items.
I usually counter back with a more reasonable price

I would have picked up ALL the tieks - and then found out if they were real or fake because you can return items to goodwill. So if you ever have that dilemma again buy them and if they are fakes return them and get your money back
My goodwill does not allow returns on shoes.
That's my issue too. None of the thrift stores I go to allow returns.

What State do you live in? I’ve never seen shoes for the prices you mention in this video. I’ve been to various thrift stores and the cost of ugly worn shoes are $14 and up. Even at the bins in my state you never find decent shoes and they are $3 per pair if you locate an actual pair. Womp womp.
I live in Texas. Most of the thrift stores around me aren't that great either. It took a while to find decent thrift stores. I have to travel an hour away.
Do you store your shoes / boots in a climate controlled environment? Right now, my garage is my storage, and I’m wondering if I should bring them inside as we enter the hot summer months.
Yes, I store them inside. Before I moved a few months ago I stored some shoes in a garage. I never noticed any damage.
Like you i like to sell good quality shoes. Sometimes more than clothes.
I normally love your vudeo, however just to look at shoes in your bins telling us the brands with no pediction of what they will bring has limited value for me. As a result, i discontinued watching this video

It looks like everyone else found this video to be quite valuable. When I took business classes not every single class focused on money. But there was always something of value to take away if I paid attention.
