Makes me wonder if you could even get it from the shop as the game thinks you have -4 weapons, because I highly doubt the anvil would spawn with the bull character (i think that's the one with 0 weapons) my guess is it'd be the same. But if it did spawn then I'd still think it'd treat it like you dont have any weapons so would boost armour
Double Chunky with something like Ghost Scepter sounds fun. Scale really high health and damage at the cost of no ways to heal outside of Tentacle, heal turret and consumables
The way I see it, Sifd's relic has three uses. 1) It means that you don't have to pick up materials, and can thus focus on dodging. This is... neat, I guess? Handy little bonus? Good in specific runs? 2) Automatic proc of "on material pickup, do x" items. This can be beneficial or detrimental depending on the situation, but on a character like Lucky, you kind of can just stand still on later waves and it's funny and you win. I think it's usually more beneficial than otherwise, because enemies spawn a lot and none of those abilities have any kind of range, but your mileage may vary. 3) You get slightly more materials..... kind of. You tend to have around 50 materials sucked up for the double mats next wave, which certainly wouldn't be a bad little bonus to add, but since you get those the wave after anyway, it's almost never an impactful difference. You would've gotten an extra hundred or so materials for the final shop here. Considering that the relic cost over 200, probably not even worth thinking about. I feel like it should needs just, like, a little bit of an extra bonus to be worth purchasing ever.
You are forgetting about inflation. Even though you get those materials the next wave, which for this video was consistently around 50 mat, they are valued less due to the shop prices being increased each wave; more materials now is always better. Retro has a few items that he's just not interested in, as a player/fan, and his avoidance of them clearly is just a preference. He also pretty regularly doesn't/does pick up items if he thinks it will make for a boring video, like strategies where he just stands still. He's got a quote that goes something like "I like to push buttons" when it comes to these sorts of things. Relic is a fantastic pickup. When he says it isn't as good as the other legendaries you know he's talking nonsense for fun--relic isn't even one of the weak "stat" mod legendaries like Big Arms or Cape.
@@anhi399 Inflation is a fair shout, and I didn't consider it (though I still think it's arguable how much the shop price increase per wave really matters) but why would you think he's... calling the relic mediocre as... a joke? If he thought it was good, he'd pick it up more than like, once ever. Like, maybe I'm wrong here, but I don't think he's 'talking nonsense' when he says the relic that doesn't really do anything doesn't really do anything
Fun thing about One-Armed is that it works any time the word "Damage" shows up. In the open alpha this worked on crit damage scaling, but it also works with Pumpkin's increased piercing damage, so a single pumpkin on double one-armed is 45% piercing damage.
I honestly think given you had two baby with a beards bait would have allowed you to kill faster. It's not even the damage percent, but it would be the extra bullets.
@Retromation Based on how much mat you leave around at the end of your waves Relic's inflation savings (plus the mat you can't access for wave 20) would do a good job of covering the item's cost. Given that enemies spawn less mat later in the run you have greater purchasing power earlier than you do later as well. Relic wouldn't have "broken" this run anymore than it already was, that's for sure, but it's far from being the worst legendary... it's better than all the simple stat modding ones like Big Arms even if it's value is hidden behind the opportunities it provides and the mental load it lightens.
The bag recoup system completely invalidates that though, you _get_ the materials you don't pick up. The ONLY money it actually saves you is whatever mat you couldn't access for wave 20. Which is almost always going to be less than the cost. The money saved due to 1 round inflation is _massively_ negligible.
@@Retromation As stated above, in endless it will save you 1-2 rerolls and heighten the chsnces of getting useful items off the bosses. In other situations it's basically pointless or actually harmful. HOWEVER if you go for a stand-still build with Chameleon, Barrage and Statue it's worthwhile again just because you won't ever move. Too bad those builds are way too boring to consider.
Hold on, Since Multitasker and One-Armed are coded this way, doesn't it mean merging the two will result in either 7 or 12 arms? (Maybe depending on the order you take them?)
You know because esty's couch existing and that sifd's relic kinda also encourages not moving the fact that they removed the negative speed is kind of a nerf where you would want it the most
I think that I always use the shuriken with One-Armed, because with high crit ratio, always bounce and I can kill multiple enemies with just one attack, maybe not the best option, but I like the shuriken
Does the game understands that you're the bull or something like that? Cause even if you're capped you're still offered weapons Also, if you combine one armed with characters that start with a weapon, like cyborg or brawler, does it overwrites the weapon, keeps the extra weapon or just bugs out?
The order you select them in matters. Multi then one armed will set arms to 12 then subtract 5 so 7. One armed then multi will subtract 5 then set to 12 so 12.
Man you should make a guide for noobs... Because most stuff u say "this character is tagged for that" and all ur knowledge, i have no idea what ur saying. So do a guide 🤙
I'd love to see if Anvil bypasses the max weapon value and upgrades it anyway, or if it just gives you the armor instead.
Based on how it works with normal 1 armed, it would upgrade the weapon
Makes me wonder if you could even get it from the shop as the game thinks you have -4 weapons, because I highly doubt the anvil would spawn with the bull character (i think that's the one with 0 weapons) my guess is it'd be the same. Or torture
@@yathartharora5507 Torture is relatively bad when you have a lot of HP.
It's at best when you are relatively low HP with good Armour & Dodge.
I want to say. I just came down with covid and your videos are helping a lot. Thanks for being here
Just gotta say man watching your vids has become a daily ritual for me on another upside I now know a lot about a game I love
just wanna say i love how you release these videos so consistently. kinda becomes a highlight every day
I think the laser gun would be the best for this due to the insane attack speed
Still voting for pacifist+multitasker all hand build!
So sensi of the art of the b1tch slap build

Definitely the strongest one yet!

Ok a one armed multi tasker, 7 weapons huge buffs
Take one armed and then multitasker and you get 12 weapons. (-5 set to 12 vs set to 12 -5)
One armed is only tagged for damage
If you're not playing on endless the Relic gives you exactly the money that's in your bag at the start of wave 20.
It's not much but it's not nothing.
it is fairly unlikely that that amount is more than you paid for it lol
@@Retromation It will only ever pay for itself in endless when buying it helps clean up the legendary pool.

I tested and you get 7 or 12 weapons depending on order you take them.
12 weapons plus the buffs from one armed? Truly broken
How do you get two of the same character? I can't get it to work. Eg: If I select Ranger, I cannot select it again.
What happens when you combine 1 arm with multitasker?
The game sh1ts itself
In this mod you can combine multitasker and one armed
You know because esty's couch existing and that sifd's relic kinda also encourages not moving the fact that they removed the negative speed is kind of a nerf where you would want it the most
This isn't the one armed, this is the amputee
I thought he would go with the ghost axe for maybe potential one shot boss
I'dlove to see a double explorer run
It crashes
When will you do the most noble of knights? The double knight run.
I think that I always use the shuriken with One-Armed, because with high crit ratio, always bounce and I can kill multiple enemies with just one attack, maybe not the best option, but I like the shuriken
Man, try 2x multytasker. Build all wrench, I want to know what will happen
One-armed and Multitasker then will have 7 weapons? Did you made this run already?
Nice Run
LETS GOOOOOOO
Two knights I hinks will be good ,masive defence with shield
I think that you get -4 weapon cuz the one armed just reduces your weapon cap by -5 (6-5-5=-4) so one armed +multitasker should get 7 weapon
Here it is first folks, 1+1 does not =2, it equals -4
So now do one armed + mulit-tasker. Should be seven weapons with extra damage
Or twelve if you do it right
Would double gladiator be any good?
If double One-Armed goes to -4 Weapons, does double Multitasker go to 18 weapons?

basically the shop checks
is your max weapon count 0 (or less) -> stop selling weapons
wait, so if multitasker sets it to 12
if you do onearm and then multitasker do you still get 12?
so double multitasker will have 18 weapons cause of additive style, not static number?
or this crashes game too?)
So multitasker will have 18 weapons? You have to get on that
How to get the same character 2 times bro? I've downloaded GMO mod but still can't do it
Well now I'm EXTRA curious on how 1 handed + multitasker works. Is it 7 arms or all 12?
The order you select them in matters. Multi then one armed will set arms to 12 then subtract 5 so 7. One armed then multi will subtract 5 then set to 12 so 12.
@@methilil why do i feel like this is either the only or one of very few combos that the order you pick matters for?
@Kh Gaming *Kai* almost everything is additive or multiplication so the order doesn't matter. It's just arms on multitasker is a "set to 12"
Really salty you never got an anvil on this run rofl
Multitasker + engineer
This Glitch not working in a positive way with the multitasker makes me sad T__T
anyone else wna see the most difficult run. Soldier only weapon allowed lance 😂😂😂 like it if u think he should do it
