I have a 2020 Ford Edge. I upgraded from my 2006 Chevy Equinox a little more than a year ago. My screen is not as massive as that one. I don’t have all my climate controls but I believe there are more than this one. I love that they still have the 12v and power seat buttons in the rear. They are very convenient.
I have a 2020 ford edge st, it was the last year before they changed to the tablet style dash and I am so grateful that I bought that year for the exact reason you are explaining. So I highly doubt they will go back to that format, reason being I believe is it is a lot cheaper to program buttons into a tablet than manufacturing the buttons into the dash.
On of my favorite things about our edge is the comfort and ease of driving for my wife, with the utility it brings. That back area is so big for the vehicle size. Biggest draw back I’ve run into - using the battery to jump another car was a pain (or maybe I’m just a good and missed the obvious)
I own a Titanium Elite Edge you are correct no 360 degree camera however you do get a front sensors and a camera as well and you get cooling seats and dual-tone leather seats.. Thank you for the great review
The wife just bought herself a new 2022 Edge Titanium. Very impressive, I must say. Haven't stumbled across a 360° camera view, while setting everything up for her. I agree with you regarding the analog vs touch screen controls.
These are great road trip vehicles with the V6. There’s nearly 70 cubic feet of cargo space behind the front row. Easy to see out of it. Nearly unstoppable in the snow!
Lyn and I OWN a 2022 Ford Edge Titanium, and we truly love it. We were looking for something a little bigger than our Mariner. REALLY wanted a "Made in Georgia" Kia Telluride, but was not willing to pay the stupid prices that were being paid. Like the Explorer, but it too, was a little more than we wanted to spend. Enter the Edge. Found a good deal on ours in Atlanta. It is pretty awesome. The Edge has been the "test bed" for Ford Sync evolution. The Sync 4A is the same Sync that was fitted into the Mach-E, and the Lightning. Sadly, 2023 will be the last year of the Edge and the Lincoln Corsair. To jump somebody off, keep a charged HALO in the back. We love it.
I was really annoyed when I bought my 22 Explorer ST and it did not come with Sync4 in it. I need the extra space and the power from the 3.0 ltr twin turbo is awesome!
Interesting to hear your comments on the Edge vs. Explorer. The Edge is an older platform design that has always been a solid roomy vehicle. The Explorer seems to have some cost cutting DNA from Ford - maybe a different design philosophy.
We looked at the edge and the explorer. They were very similar with what they offered, and very similar in price, so we opted for the explorer. I owned a 2002 explorer and loved it. Sold it with about 170k miles on it and never had any real issues with. The new explorer we bought has been a great vehicle. We have just about 130k miles on it now, and it still looks new, runs great, and had a great ride. I used to be a GM guy, always, but ford had so much more to offer on a similar GM suv at the time. I’m sold on fords now, although GM has upped their game the last few years, especially with their trucks.
I have a 2018 Edge Sport with the 2.7 and it is an amazing vehicle, it’s smooth and powerful and is the perfect sweet spot in my opinion between the escape and the explorer. I love it so much.
Currently have an Edge Sport and Explorer ST. The Edge is a great car. Have had 3 of them with no major issues. Very peppy with a surprisingly large cargo area and they have been reliable. Have yet to test out an Edge ST but looking forward to it. The Explorer ST is a nice car, lots of tech, creature comforts, room for passengers and FAST, but also come with it's downsides. Have had 2 Explorer ST's and both have had transmission issues along with other minor electrical/tech problems (power rear folding seats not working, power window switches not working, infotainment screen issues, keyless entry issues).
Edge doesn't have the 360 camera which doesn't make since on titanium you do get memory seats mirrors and front and rear parking sensors plus front camera.
I have a 2021 edge really wish had digital dash driver display auto hold maybe some driver modes manual temp control screen I not very stable holible with iPhone very unstable
I have a 2020 Ford Edge it’s in the color gold and so aesthetically pleasing to me. I upgraded from my 2015 navy blue F-150 for it. It’s the perfect size. It has a small screen but also buttons and knobs so you don’t have to use it. I use the screen for the maps feature. The maps look so good on it for traveling and I never know where I’m going.😂I drove from Alaska through Canada to Oregon with it. I had two dogs in the back truck area. My son and a cooler in the back seats and my man and I up front. We put all of our clothes and everything else on top in our roof rack. Love the car and have so many memories with it! My man and his friends take it camping all the time and bring it back a mess. They love the car too!😂 I will be keeping this car for the rest of my life!😂
We have had a few edges a 2017, and a 2019, loved both. went with a escape just to try something different and while we really like it has the same 2.0 engine and transmission the escape gets better fuel mileage since its a little smaller. We definatly miss some of the tech on the edge like front camera and cooled seats. but the escape does have heads up display which is nice. Also it should feel like a bigger Fusion as they are on the same platform.
Nice video. I’m a GM guy and never a Ford. You are correct, this vehicle is to compete against the Chevy Equinox which ours is a 2018. Wife wanted it when we became empty nesters as we didn’t think we’d need the room. Next one may be a Traverse. This Edge I’d say is mainly marketed toward the younger set without kids or towards the “economy” class (if there is such a thing with today’s prices). The Explorer would be marketed more towards the older crowd with children. Always a vehicle for every demographic. But the question remains….. when you buying the Cadillac Escalade V series? You know that you and the wife want it. 😉😆
we have the Explorer Hybrid at work, the only thing it's good for is soccer moms and trips to the grocery store.

I have this in a 2021. With snow tires on it it is awesome in the Canadian winter.

Wife had one with the 2.7 eco boost, would haul butt. Was a great car, I believe it was a sport model.

I also have a 2019 edge titanium elite, do you think the explorer could be a better option with similar features of the edge?

I'd prefer buttons as well.

I have had 5 Edges. Titanium that I have has front and rear cameras, front and rear parking sensors. 360° camera not available on any Edge.

Heads up be cool too. They might be making a larger version of the edge a different vehicle
My wife loves her edge titanium
I really love the way the styling and tech of the Edge but I worry about the power of the 2.0 liter.
by integrating the climate controls into the screen , they are controlled by Sync and can be voice controlled.

Will you consider uploading to rumble as well? Trying not to support google
Love my 20016 Edge, really sad Ford is discontinuing the model.

I am laughing that you are reviewing your loaner…too funny. But I was interested to see your review.
Safest car I've ever wrecked T Boned a truck @60 mph I had no injuries motor went under air bags went off everywhere thank goodness just saying
Edge vs. Explorer comparison, but there’s no Explorer. Lol.
