Blow dry or use some products for a couple of weeks to get the sticking out hair on the side under control.

To compensate for this, you gotta do a graduation, or in this case, a fade, so that when it grows out, it’s still square-ish. And since he’s getting a haircut, he’s gotta sacrifice a little bit at that pariatal ridge so when everything on the side grows out, it’s in proportion.
