Iwas an android user since my first smartphone (2011) and now for the first time ever preordered an iPhone, knowing/thinking that now I have to get used to not being able to freely move apps around on the homescreen like I was able to do on android. Really nice convenient timing that just a few days before I get my first ever iOS device, an update comes out that gets rid of this limitation :D
Good luck. I came back to iPhones after 5 years and honestly my pixel 7 is extremely more user friendly. Don’t know why people constantly say iPhones are easier to use. Both Androids and iPhones have their advantages. I’m not locked in to one. I’ll be back on Android in another 4 years or so. Glad I keep my photos in Google photos rather than iPhone storage. Works nice on both platforms. Good luck getting used to it!!

iOS 18 really doesn’t wow me to be honest. The Home Screen customizability isn’t really useful since changing the colour changes all the apps icons and widgets. Give me the ability to quickly change app icons is what they should have given us. The whole look and feel has been the same for years and years and is now stale.
You seem to be miserable. Put your phone down . Go for a hike . Relax . Take a deep breath . Life is beautiful! We are blessed to have this technology available to us . 50 years ago this was only just a dream. Let’s appreciate life a little bit more . Nothing in life is perfect. But it’s up to you to make the most out it . Give it your own touch and make it the best it can be

They’ll probably make that exclusive to a newer phone anyway, as a means to get people to upgrade. I got an iPhone 15 base model and still won’t be getting AI features. It’s a marketing scheme.. I won’t be upgrading for a while anyway though. Just shocking my phone isn’t even a year old and isn’t supported lol
Split screen on iPhones will be exclusive to Pro Max. They will make it a selling point as always. 😆

So one thing. In the control center there is a group called “connectivity” where it has wi-fi, airplane mode, Bluetooth etc
How do you edit that group? Because for some reason Bluetooth is located with 4 other widgets in the corner but I want Bluetooth to be next to wi-fi

Tap the automatic icon a few times and it’ll darken or brighten..

Wow. LOL ANDROID HAS DONE IT 10 years ago. And this is me writing from 15 pro max.
Yup, Samsung and Apple are getting more similar each time, including software.
However, I (always an Android user, still am) am very glad seeing the Dark Mode Icons (and that apps on homescreen can be placed more freely). This, and the fact that on Android I am increasingly controlled by Google which I don't really like any more due to their political bias and ill agendas, are two reasons for switching to iPhone and iOS.
But these are though the only two reasons for me, so I'll continue with Android and Samsung because for me there's infinate reasons I like it more. Just saying the advantages have now become slimmer, so I may actually go for an iPhone 17 (or later version) in the future 🤔 I currently have Galaxy S22, and may buy S25 when it's out - I'll have to see how S25 will be

@superamper You have the option to darken the wallpaper that could help
Long-press on part of your background to enter jiggle mode -- where your apps are shaking.
2. Tap Edit in the top left corner of your screen.
3. Tap Customize.
4. Tap the sun icon in the top left corner of the new menu.
This will only darken your wallpaper and won't affect your app icons

Never gonna turn on the voice over feature ever again , damn thing lock me out for 15min and then ur stuck on the lock screen till u tap ur passcode accurately.. theres a different way of tapping the passcode as well ,, had to check youtube video to unlock my phone
