You’re over exaggerating what’s going on with Fields. If Russ were playing the way JF is right now (i.e., ONE TD in two games, 4 sacks, and a game won on FGs), just about everyone would be calling for him to be benched!
So JF isn’t playing that great. What he is doing is avoiding catastrophic, game-losing plays. Kudos to him, but that’s not a QB1.
Quit praying for Russ’s premature demise. He’s still QB1, and he’s completely superior to JF.
JF is playing like what he is: a capable backup! If Russ put up one TD on two games and had an 82 passer rating with 4 sacks, you’d all be calling for him to be benched!
I do agree that Pittsburgh is a much better organization and a better fit system-wise for JF, but remember that he isn’t the only QB who got screwed over.
Russ was federally fckd by Denver, and unlike JF, Russ had a proven history of excellence and managed to play well with a coach purposely sabotaging him.
I’ll also remind you that Arthur Smith’s offense is the same offense Russ grew up playing with the Seahawks…the same offense he broke numerous records playing on and led a team to two SBs…could’ve had four if not for the LoB’s implosion.
As nicely as JF is fitting in right now, he lacks the skills and experience to exploit the offense the way Russ can.
Glad to know JF is a capable backup, but he’s not the dude. Russ is.

LAC has some major holes in the middle of the field in runs and passes. (use both pitt rb) also on offence interestingly enough LAC like to throw alot to the middle of the field .

I love these two but the homerism sometimes is off the charts, especially for Dale. JK Dobbins has only 10 fewer rushing yards than the ENTIRE Steelers team, yet he thinks Najee is better. How many touchdowns does Najee have? And then all week they have been talking negative about the Chargers WRs and skill players. Their WRs have 19 receptions and three touchdowns. The Steelers WRS? 13 catches and ZERO touchdowns. The Steelers have a bad offense right now. Doesn't mean it can't change, but in no one's reality is it better than LAC. Numbers don't lie.
Last stat that is fact: The Steelers have lost three straight home openers, including to Mac Jones. Yes, that Mac Jones.

To think Herbert wouldn't play is wild. No good skill position players? No stars but they are a talented group. Steelers don't have anybody on offense anyone would deem a star, this game is gonna be close. But Justin Fields is gonna be the x factor. He plays good, Steelers have a chance. He gets destroyed by our defense, its a long quiet day in Pittsburgh.

First team to truly double Pickens every play beats the Steelers easily. Not one other guy has shown the ability to get open consistently. We have like 3 catches all year from WR's not named George Pickens. Way too reliant on him
There were way more than three receptions by receivers not named Pickens. And we have Freiermuth Wilson is on the mend playoff win this year, baby. Remember that.
