Appenzell Yodel Festival
The small capital of the canton of the same name hosts a very special festival: the Jodlerfest, focusing on the typical culture of this corner of northeastern Switzerland between Austria and Lake Constance.
In this festival we will see and hear yodel singers perform as soloists or in groups; the Alpenhorn musicians (the typical Swiss instrument, a long wooden horn that was used in the mountain pastures to communicate signals from one side of the valley to the other), Swiss flags are waved and we will also see a parade with typical customs and costumes of the place.
It was an unforgettable experience to enjoy this festival!
