Technically Royal Rumble 06 was the first ever encounter of Kurt and “The Deadman” Undertaker.
Yeah it was the first time with The Deadman Undertaker for Kurt and all these years later he just remembers it wrong.

Imagine if Kurt didn’t watch the product at all and had no idea Undertaker was back to his deadman gimmick until that moment.

Maybe he meant the first night that he came back as the the Deadman where Kurt himself was personally involved. Like not the first night but as far as undertaker and Kurt having any involvement together, the first time that they did after he came back as the dead man was after he beat Mark. Absolutely no reason to sit here and be like oh he may be telling the story wrong ....but what were you doing in 2004 meh meh meh meh. @@hameedibnabdulvahab originally, during an interview in India back in 1997 when he was WWF Champion, he dressed as biker style together with Vader at that time.
Kurt still made his point guys. He remembers that amazing moment and how well it was executed with the trick spot they did with the gimmicked ring and so forth. He didn’t mess up telling the story for what happened in said segment and thus an awesome moment with The Undertaker and an awesome story shared to us by this legend.
People just love judging and talking crap there is reasons why he was on pain meds he went through a lot of injuries correct me if I'm wrong but from interviews that he has had that's what he said and he started having a rough life and I believe that was one of the reasons why either he left or got released back in 06 until someone knows what professional wrestling is like no one should say anything.

People really want to give this legend a hard time for not getting the timeline exactly right? It was Kurt’s first interaction with the traditional Undertaker, as he had been the badass for years. Pretty easy to see his line of thinking here. Watching the old school undertaker entrance while in the ring must have been epic

And I always thought he should have returned as early 90s Undertaker. Grey gloves, purple eyes, hair in the face. Paul Bearer looking like a ghost again.

I don't blame him cause when he made his wwe debut, Taker was pretty much transitioned into the biker gimmick. So he really didn't get to see dead man gimmick till about 04.
Dude was with the Deadman Taker on the SmackDown brand 2004 and the first half of 2005, they were on the same card on numerous PPVs like WrestleMania XX and No Mercy 2004, he announced the deadman Undertaker before his entry on his first Smackdown after WM XX when he was the GM in a wheelchair.
Kurt is an honest man. Sometimes maybe we don’t remember correctly. Doesn’t change good to evil.

I think the opposite actually , the undertaker is the only person who’s debut give me chills to watch and two times at that. His first debut in the early 90s of course (LOOK AT THE SIZEEEE OF THAT HAMHOCK) and then when he debuted as the AB in like 2000 I think after being out for so long on an injury. Please do yourself a favor and go watch that debut if you’re interested. He comes out on the bike for the first time and the crowd is absolutely electric. Unlike anything. Cameras flashing every which way, deafening roars. And taker come in fast and hard with those finishers

The only wrestling event I’ve ever been able to attend. I had liked the undertaker but fell in love with him that night. Bought a shirt and the DVD chronicling his career up to that point. It was epic.
