Did you hear about Pauls lost bass finally being found ?, Would you do a video on it maybe ? Also what's your take on the new Beatles biopic? .. Apparently it's going to be four films from each perspective. Not sure how i feel about that yet hehe. Glad to see you back and looking well, Great reaction as always.
@@richardbeaton7324yeah! I posted about the bass here. I put it on a list of topics but I’m not sure when exactly I’d get to it. And the biopics are a whole other thing 😅 I tweeted about it, but I really want unknown actors.
@@larsland Ooooh excited! .. As your videos are always full of info yet very clear. So it'd be a good video. And yeah i agree, preferably musicians too. Just feel like they have to put in things that people don't know for the films to do well , Like in this new Bob Marley biopic. As many people know the Beatles story all too well. But we'll see when it comes out. :)
@@richardbeaton7324I’d really like an authentic Liverpudlian accent as well but I’m sure that would be asking too much. Hopefully they’ll all be Brits.
@@larsland Ha! .. You never know ... 😄 And yeah they gotta be right ? ..
Whenever a long Lars video drops my day is made! Love this album, it's criminally underrated. Thank you for bringing attention to it
Haha thank you
Hi Lars! Thank you for giving Beatles For Sale so much love ❤️ This album is seriously overlooked in the whole catalog. I grew up with Beatles 65 and Beatles VI so it took a bit of time to get used to Beatles For Sale song sequence. I still look for I'll Be Back from Beatles 65. Your story of Eight Day s a Week was very touching- your right that song feels like a hug!
Thank you ❤ I’m sure the song order was jarring!
It was really strange discovering the 'real' albums later on, wasn't it? I love all the albums we had here in the states, and over those ealrier years it was all I knew, so they were what they were supposed to be, in my mind. Once you find out what Capitol did, the collections we got seem like strange mish-mashes of songs. Some people say we were cheated, and looking back you can think that, but I never felt that way back then, so it doesn't really matter. They're all great collections of songs, regardless of which version you listen to.
Beatles for Sale showed the lads were maturing as songwriters. This was their transitional album from talented songwriters to phenomenal. This was the album that led to help, Revolver, sgt pepper, and magical mystery tour.
It's glad to happy back. Peace and Love
I was raised on the USA Beatles 65 version of this album. (A lot of the same songs) I am a 1st generation fan of The Beatles . I'm 70 years old.
I can't believe I sat through an hour and 40 minutes of you talking about this album.
Now I wanna pull out my 2009 remaster and listen to It all together.
You are so real that even in the end when you talked about 8 days a week I got tears in my eyes.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
Great video, Beatles for Sale is truly one of the most breeziest and lovely listening albums they have...perfect for small gatherings! What You're Doing is my favorite.
The Beatles fandom needed a channel like this. great stuff as always
My favourite album by The Beatles. It's an underrated masterpiece! There would be no Rubber Soul or Revolver without this album. An early clue to the new direction, you might say. You had me crying at the end too. Excellent video, Lars! I'm subscribing!
I use to just like the good songs but now i like the average as well. It took me many years to like all the Beatles songs on every album except little child. Well done on this video i could feel your heart and soul and dedication. Have a fab day.
Thank you!
Great video. I feel that Beatles For Sale, for me, is still one of my favorite Beatles' LPs.....depending what mood I'm in, at the time. You are so right about songs (for me Beatles' songs) and how they were a part of past events in my life, and even to this day. I'm a 1st Generation Beatles' fan (I was 7 when The Beatles first appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show on Feb. 9th, 1964....which makes me.....much older than you, congratulations.) Their music affected my life, in so many ways. I was very fortunate to meet my wife, who accepted me and my love of the Beatles' music, before saying, at the altar, "Beatles, really?" (i was humming a Beatles' song before saying, I do......sorry but I was nervous (And I Love Her) Anyway, for me, Beatles For Sale has always got the "bum rush" from many music critics (yeah because they know so much about music. ha!!) Thanks again for a great review and video. Keep up the great work, larsland. You rock!
Thank you!
Enjoying your videos on the Beatles, and very happy you are defending Mr Moonlight and Honey Don't, it's about time somebody spoke up for this record, I have never been on the hate train for it, it has always been a favorite
Welcome back! It seems like we haven't seen you in such a long time. Props on another great video!

But I would expect videos to come a little slower for a bit, closer to 6 weeks. Some health issues plus working on a big thing behind the scenes ❤
I'm sorry to hear about your health issues. Upload when you can. @@larsland
Wow, just a randomly popped link and there goes an hour and 40. Really enjoyed your commentary, thank you muchly :)
Despite John's opinion of Eight Days A Week, it became a number one hit song. Paul and John sang co-lead. Paul sings every word with John and one could just as easily say John sang in unison with Paul. The same is true for Every Little Thing. The deconstructed versions of these songs makes it clear they are both singing lead.
In my land it's the best of the four early Beatles albums.
I think the thing with Mr Moonlight is it's a 'cha-cha' - an old fashioned, more mainstream kind of music than rock n roll. Every time the Beatles step backward into an older genre they get shit. Like, how come 'when I'm 64' is granny music, but Mr Moonlight isn't? same era. But I don't care, good music is good music! Love it all.
My dad bought this album for me in '64 or '65. I loved it then, I love it now. So it has covers? Yeah, their cover of Rock and Roll Music is one of their greatest cuts. This is a GREAT album.
Always been one of my fav Beatles albums. The country rock a billy is tight, and started a "country rock" phase that would last into the 70's. Love that they did country flavoured songs.
Absolutely
I don’t think the time markers are showing up right now, but they’re in the description. Idk what’s going on there 😢
Yay a new Lars Land!

Catching up on your amazing videos Lars.. I always enjoy them! There’s so
Many tidbits bits of knowledge you impart to us that we may not have known.. I appreciate all the research and editing work with the photos and video clips. I know it is a lot of work but dang you are good… 😊 I really could watch for hours cause I’m
THAT Beatles fan
Thank you!
I've never understood why Beatles for Sale wasn't more popular. Each album they did has its own vibe, and it's just another vibe to me. It's neither outstanding nor subpar.
Excuse me? It spent 11 weeks at Number 1 (on and off) in the UK album charts. As a mark of popularity I think that nails it. Then they quickly moved onto the next No. 1 album. I can't comment on what happened in The States where there seemed to be a lot of "cutting and pasting".
The last five minutes were deeply moving. Thank you.
Thank you ❤
You're right, you know, about including covers. 1st UK album: 6 of 14 songs were covers. 2nd UK album 6 of 14 songs were covers.
And if you go by their US discography, in April 1964 "The Beatles 2nd Album" (their 3rd in the US) 6 of 11 tracks were covers.
They started out as a cover band, and loved playing those songs.
And, of course, the majority of their singles were self-written, singles that weren't included on their albums.
❤
Beatles For Sale's good and bad can be summed up as this: it's like a glimpse into an alternative 1960s where the band decides not to become innovative psychedelic studio geniuses but instead keep on slowly maturing in 3 minutes or less as the foremost pop harmony songwriters in the world (not called Wilson, at least). It both demonstrates that they could still nail it on autopilot, but also why they needed to change up.
So they can watch my video or read this comment because you nailed it but more objectively lmao
I've always liked Beatles for Sale, and considered it the most underrated of all of their albums. It's truly a seminal work, the first full manifestation of their glorious middle period. The originals are all fantastic, and the covers work well as well. There's nothing wrong with this album. I completely fail to understand how No Reply didn't make it onto the Red Album (even its recent expanded form). But the others are great as well. Lots of interesting rhythmic things going on as well.
For a while I didn't particularly care for the covers, but a while back I realized how energetically sung they are. Paul's vocal on Kansas City is amazing. And John gives a great performance on the much-maligned Mister Moonlight. This is an all-around great record.
I love it too but how could i not!!
The Hard Rock Hotel I work for has the Beatles version of Rock and Roll music as the hold music, so I often hear it multiple times a day when on hold with other departments and it simply does not get old. I've worked here 9 years lol
Beatles for Sale gets trashed in large part because it suffers compared to the most of the other Fab albums. I mean.....I'll always choose Rubber Soul or Magical Mystery Tour over BFS. Wouldn't you?
No Reply, I'm a Loser, Eight Days a Week, I Don't Want to Spoil the Party and What You're Doing are excellent. I'm sure every single band in 1964 wished they had those songs in their catalog. Kansas City, Words of Love (those harmonies!) and Rock and Roll Music are excellent covers. And deep cuts like Baby's in Black I'll Follow the Sun and Every Little Thing are likable if lightweight. Sure.....Mr. Moonlight is bad, Honey Don't is passable and Everybody's Trying to Be My Baby is competent. Overall a very good album by Beatles standards.
Great video once again!
I don't think I'd say I'll choose any album over another, my opinions and feelings are more fluid than that. To say one or the other would be a poor representation of my relationship with The Beatles and music as a whole. There's a difference, of course, between complexity and competency, being able to tell those apart, if you're labeling those things as "best." Those are only a part of my outcome. I go through phases. And of course, I have no objectivity during those phases. You'll always get my videos during those phases, so it'll always be even worse lmao.
When I've been in a phase, I couldn't even think of clicking on Rubber Soul over Yellow Submarine and the MMT phase is still ongoing to the point that I'm like averse to other albums. I get absolutely bananas honestly. I have no credibility lmao
There are no "wrong" answers when it comes to the music. Especially the Fabs. My "Wouldn't You?" was sort of a rhetorical question. Sure there are times when I say "I'd like to listen to BFS." But.....other albums get picked by me more often.@@larsland
@@johnlorinc2081I mean, obviously the point of the video was that BFS is just as valid of an album as the others, and it succeeds at doing this, so your assertion that they would "Obviously" pick another one...even if it is rhetorical...dismisses the point IMO.
Sure.....BFS is valid. That was never in doubt. I think it's a great album, I just prefer other Beatles albums over it. But, when I am in the mood for BFS I really enjoy it. @@beatles123
Funny thing about HONEY DON'T is that in the club days it was JOHN that used to sing, but they always wanted RINGO to have a song to sing. A version sung by Lennon is available on Live at the BBC, recorded in September 1963, before he'd handed off the song to Ringo.
I nearly fell off my chair the first time I heard the BBC version because I’d never heard John sing it! 😮
You are amazing! The effort you put into researching material and creating your videos is evident and admirable.... Most enjoyable. Thank you.
Passion builds knowledge.
Knowledge drives confidence.
Confidence fosters creativity.
Creativity attracts interest.
I have said this on MULTIPLE occasions and even on-air for all the country to hear. Mr Moonlight is John Lennon's BEST VOCAL as a Beatle. Will die on hill LOL
Speaking of covers... Lars, would you consider doing a video about Beatles parodies, in particular The Rutles and Beatallica?
It’s definitely on a list of ideas!
The Beatles For Sale is only really sunk by Mr. Moonlight imo. If they had replaced it with Leave My Kitten Alone, gotten around to covering Bad Boy sooner or stuck with George's original You Know What to Do it'd be a four star Beatles album for me. It shows a lot of maturity and signs of what was coming with phase two of The Beatles.
Fuck i forgot to mention you know what to do🙃... I don't even know if it made it into my notes! But good point, you know I would NEVER disagree with *more* George on an album.
It’s top 3 on the album for me
@@larslandThere's a reason for that! LOL it's just awful.
Yep, they should have finished George's "You Know What To Do".
My Dad's favourite Beatles album - and it's his birthday today!
Love this!!!
Love YOU
Love Lars Land.
Beatles for Sale has it's fans.😊
I read somewhere that part of the perceived problem with this album is the order of the songs.. Interesting to think how they could have been better ordered
OOH interesting!
I love how Hey Bulldog and I Dig a Pony start to get their due. Beatles For Sale has THOSE songs - Party, Eight, Loser, even What You're Doing,
Great! You're back and giving us the deep and soulful
insights into the Best of the Best. A lot of covers ,so what? Whenever they have covered songs on their early albums , they generally owned the songs ie made them their own.
I have always liked Mr Moonlight, a great rendition.
Keep well. A great video.
I love that album very much!!!!!
❤❤❤❤ I have never understood why people put down this album. There are a few tracks that I might skip sometimes, but there are more that get worn out with being played over and over.
And I will stand on my soap box and shout out that I love Mr Moonlight.
Thank you! That’s why I’m saying!!!
Wanted to say I love that you did a thing on Beatles for Sale. Absolutely one of the most underrated albums, and it's got so many gems!
I always get thrown off when reviews side-eye Beatles for Sale (which is why I'm super glad you don't, at all). It's like they never listened to their first album. Like, if they're gonna give 'em crap for covers - start there, it too has 6 cover songs (Anna, Chains, Boys, Baby it's you, a taste of honey, twist and shout). I think a lot of the poo-pooing on the covers is more retrospect than at-the-time reviews. People forget that they did tonnnnnnnneeesssssss of covers live at their BBC session and were well known for their giant catalogue of cover songs because of their stints in Hamburg, early clubs and touring and just their love of rock n roll.
Love your videos, this was so fun to watch you go through them and discuss the production and writing a bit
Thank you so much
To be honest Beatles for Sale is my comfort Album.
I don't go for rubber soul or Abbey Road when I'm feeling down, they are simply to heavy for that.
For Sale is something that I can listen to and have a good time with.
Also I honestly don't get the hate the covers seem to catch.
I get this!
Interesting John called I Feel Fine country, because Sweethearts of the Rodeo (a country duo) did a cover in the 80s and changed almost nothing.
Nice!
This is simultaneously the most unexpected AND most appropriate Ollivander cameo in internet history 🤣
THANK YOU
"Honey Damn" - LOL
😅
Fantastic voyage and marvellous insight through a criminally undervalued album. This not helped by Apple, despite expanding the Red album “Beatles For Sale” is still represented by just one track and no way one of the very best. I hope you felt a thousand hugs through the screen at the end, if you only felt one then that was mine.
About “No Reply” this has me thinking about a solo song from Paul Mccartney & Wings from the “Venus & Mars” album, “Call Me Back Again” on how he always calls her but never calls him back promising she would.
I don't give a damn what you say in your other videos, I'm subscribing based just on THIS one,. lol. You're adorable with your great good humor and quirky fact-spewings, and above all your evident appreciative love for the greatest group ev-ah! I came for "No Reply," which I am currently re-obsessed by, and was driven to write THIS reply just before you started talking about it. Darn you, I was gonna fast forward to it at first, but spent 42 minutes of Late Night gettin all enthralled and shit, lol! Now I gotta sleep, lol. Cheers!
I remember the record store in Pasadena that I visited frequently. There was this section dedicated to import albums. Saw these Beatles albums that were so completely different from what we were used to. First of all the sound of those pressings were so superior over the US pressings. Completely different albums till Sgt Pppers. Beatles For Sale is one of my favorites. You could hear the changes in their music, and arrangements.
1:18:56 thanks for loving, "Honey Don't" too. It's a great one! 😊
23:51 🎯😂
Will you please explain to a dunderhead like me how reaction videos to the Beatles, with a full sound track are sprawling on the internet but analysis videos draw the ire of the censors?
I would love to know that as well. If you find out, let me know. This is the second upload of this video because the first version of it was blocked worldwide. 😫 lmao
As a 60 year BEATLES FAN- , I ABSOLUTELYHAVEALWAYSLOVED-BEATLESFOR SALE’. THANK YOU , LARS 4THIS VIDEO -I DON’T GIVE ADAMN WHAT THE CRITICSSAY EITHER!!!!!!
What people need to look at is the time frame a song came out ,which isn't always easy . .Also it helps to hear a song more than once . The ultimate critics are the record buyers.
“I’ve never composed on the bass, not ever.”
Umm…you mean except for “Get Back,” right, Paul?
RIGHT??? Maybe I should have put that in there??
This was one of my favorite albums growing up; originally, I had no idea so many of these songs were covers, and, in the end, I never really cared; i loved any covers they did, because The Lads did them in their style; their covers barely sounded like the originals, even tho they were obviously the same songs; ironically, The Beatles original catalogue is one of the most covered collections of songs ever recorded, so I guess all these subsequent recordings are ‘unprofessional’, now…
NEVER apologise for being a kind and loving person with true feelings ❤
Like others, my one and only quibble is that Mr. Moonlight is not my cup of tea, and would have preferred Leave My Kitten Alone to be on the album instead. So I simply burned my own copy of Beatles For Sale with Mr. Moonlight taken out and Leave My Kitten Alone thrown in. And regardless of whether MM is on the album or not, most bands (past or present) would kill to be able to make an album of the same quality as Beatles For Sale.
I love this record, particularly the stereo version.
As for the "I Don't Wanna Spoil the Party" 'who-sang-what' thing, i don't think that's George on the low harmony during the verses. I think it's probably John on both parts, sung on a separate track.
Paul could match John's inflections pretty much perfectly when he wanted to, but i just can't see George nailing John's nasal tone the way we hear it here.
I think John recorded his lead vocal by itself, and decided to layer a harmony line himself, after the fact. It's a simple song with no double-tracking, so there should've been enough tracks available to do this.
I love this song so much!
you look so fabulous (as always) in this video!
Thank you!!
thankyou for a very informative video well done bye the way eight days a week is a wonderful positive song to let your feelings out
If they had sustituted "Leave My Kitten Alone" for "Mr. Moonlight", the album would have gotten a lot less flack.
omg Lars your wavy hair is so cool and not weird! (ask and you shall receive)
THANK YOU
The album’s first 3 songs PROVES this is a great album. In fact the best until Rubber Soul. although i will say the Anthology version of “Mr. Moonlight” (minus the false start although it’s kinda cool) is better than the “Beatles For Sale” version”, the guitars in the middle fit the song a lot better in my opinion.
I love Beatles For Sale, it's one of my favorite Beatle albums.
I love no reply.... So much angst!
Brilliant, and such a tight performance. Top drawer!
I didn't really give it a good listen until the 90s and I fell in love with it. It is a great album
Ok whatever this is I’m so for it
Hind sight is 20/20. Look at the album from today and look back at it. The covers were a blessing. Listen to how tight their harmonies are here. This has got to be their strongest "performance" album.
Beatles For Sale / Beatles 65 is their 1st concept album. Let's talk about those evil covers. Thank God that the Beatles recorded those covers. George Harrison hated the recording of the Beatles Live in Hamburg 1962 and didn't want it released. Those marvelous official remakes on Beatles For Sale/Beatles 65 show off the beginnings of the Beatles. Rock n Roll Music, Kansas City, Honey Don't, Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby are incredibly strong performances vocally and musically. There are songs that also represent their current state of mind and there are songs that set up the Rubber Soul album.
I love I'll follow the sun but I am not willing to get a whole vinyl LP for one song.
The Beatles are my favorite band and this has been my favorite album of theirs for like 15 years! People try to pretend that a cover of a song means that it's automatically bad, but Twist and Shout was a cover and I don't hear anyone complaining about that! Lol
Idk every song slaps to me and the only other album I can say that about is Rubber Soul, but I also prefer the "early Beatles" sound to their later stuff.
The U.S. Beatles 65' was my favorite Beatle album growing up in the real time history
I would just say about beatles for sale, let it stand on it's two feet let it walk. don't you want another Beatles to run wild through your head? for a long while i didn't pay attention to it because of all the negativity: when i heard every little thing, I'll follow the sun, what you're, doin' i realized i'd been dumb. these beautiful tracks had been waiting for me all the while. every beatles fan who says bad things about BFS should give their head a shake.
Agreed!
Love beatles for sale so much
The baby's in black dance nice is so great
RIGHT
If the whole album was like the first half Beatles for sale would be in my top 3
Re: Ringo’s voice. First, we love Ringo. Beatles’ fans have loved Ringo from the start (once they let that whole Pete Best-thing go). We love the guy, he makes our feet tap, our butts shake, and our faces smile! So we bring a lot of good-will to anything having to do with Mr. Starkey, including his vocal style. He never tries to be something he’s not on his songs. That’s just a familiar friend and God bless him. Second, he’s doing the roots-y stuff or the Kid-pleasing, sing-a-long stuff. Does he really need to present a highly trained, pristine voice? No, of course not! So, people who complain or wrinkle their nose at Ringo’s vocals need to put things into perspective.
Sandwiched between Hard Day's Night and Help! at roughly six-month intervals, Beatles For Sale may not be as good as those two, but mainly because it contains six cover songs. At that rate, then, No Reply, I'm A Loser, Eight Days A Week, Every Little Thing, Baby's In Black, and I Don't Want To Spoil The Party, are essential components of The Beatles catalogue. No need to apologize.
This is my FAVORITE album of their UK catalog! The US catalog is far superior overall , but this album is fantastic!!
Am I the only one who hears big-time “Bedroom Voice” in the vocals on “Words of Love”? Come on! The Beatles were well nigh CROONING on that one! Sexy-time deluxe, folks! 😊😄👍🥰
I wish people would stop rubbishing this album!!!! It's a brilliant album!! I prefer it to "A Hard Days Night". The first 3 albums i call the "Beatlemania" albums. Nothing wrong with that - they were all great. But there was a TRUE progression - Lyrically, Musically & Experimentally on this album. And at least 3 of the covers were also really great.
calling the album Beatles For Sale is the 1964 version of System of a Down calling the Toxicity follow-up Steal This Album
Great comparison!
"Words of Love": affectionate, and tender.
omg Lars your wavy hair is so cool and not weird!
OMG THANK YOU THIS CERTAINLY WASNT EXPECTED OR COERCED
Beatles For Sale / Beatles 65... 2 of my favorite albums. Did the Metallica album of covers get put down for not having originals on it?
Beatles for Sale may have some uninspired covers (I skip the Carl Perkins songs), but the originals outshine anything they'd done before, and it's weird people can't see that. Their best album? No. But their worst? Also no. It's better than PPM, WTB, HDN, and Yellow Submarine. For me, it might even be better than Let It Be. That makes it pretty damn decent. What You're Doing and I'll Follow the Sun are two of the most underrated songs in the Beatles' catalog, and this is the first album where you hear Paul coming into his own to do what was in him to do rather than what was considered safe.
I would absolutely agree with Paul coming into his own.
Great Album.
I laugh every time I hear a criticism of this album. One of the big things the 'critics' harp on is that there were so many cover songs. Well let's see - The Beatles recorded two albums in 1964, the first of which had 13 originals. This album had eight. They also released some singles that were not included on the albums. They also made a movie. They were also touring all over the world and frequently appearing on TV shows. It's amazing they could do all that and still write well over 20 new songs, most of which were really good to great. And those originals on For Sale - they are great songs! This has some of my favorite 'deep cuts' - 'I Don't Want To Spoil The Party', 'Every Little Thing', 'Baby's In Black', 'What You're Doing', not to mention the others. Just fantastic stuff. Easily the most underated Beatles album, though A Hard Day's Night isn't too far behind in that category. Yes, you are right - the album deserves an apology!
So... the opening harmony on 'I Don't Want to Spoil the Party' is John double tracked, it's not George. Sorry :<
The high harmony in the bit where they go "Though tonight she made me sad, I still love her. If I find her, I'll be glad. I still love her," that's Paul and John on the low harmony. The 'Ooooo's potentially have George in them... but I don't personally hear it, it sounds like double tracked J&P. They were in overdub land in that song, it wasn't a single take.
Ian MacDonald had been known to lie and fabricate things. Revolution in the Head is very wrong in multiple places, required a 'factual update' in 2005 and likely is one of the reasons the Beatles finally published the Anthology book... and John Wynn needs ears (sometimes session notes are wrong and incomplete).
Believe Walter Everett on this, John's self-duetting, without question.
Like I said, those were my thoughts at the time. 😊 thanks!
I like what I like. No reviewer or other person can decide that for me.
Ok lol
Lars, gotta disagree with you on the 'covers are weak' on this album comment. The lightning and cracking thunder of Harrison's Carl Perkins/Scotty Moore rockabilly solo in "Everybody's Trying to Be My Baby" is ALONE worth listening to the entire side for. Especially in the second sollo during the second 12 bars. Rocket fuel
"Words of Love"? "Rock and Roll Music"? "Kansas City/ Hey Hey Hey Hey"? Granted, I secretly wish "Mr Moonlight" would dsappear ala some elaborate Mandela Effect - but, what's one little flaw? These covers rock. Love your channel - and love 'LOST'! Possibly the best TV series ever.
Idk how this was misunderstood but I was saying the most common criticism was the covers are weak… I praise the covers throughout the video (and make fun of people shitting on covers). I agree with you lol
@@larsland - All good 😄 Your enthusiasm over The Boys is quite refreshing. I can't believe you enjoy Mr Moonlight so much. But your opinion has inspired me to listen to the track anew thanks to your ears. Stars for Lars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
You are right....nothing the Beattles made was bad...Revolution Nr 9 is intresting as a funny way oft Art....i am 63 and lisening every das to the fab 4 to the end....so in my Land i am the bigest..Fan...Sorry.. 😊...my englisch is not so good sorry to..Gruß und Kuss aus ISNY im wunderschönen Allgäu...and a good day sunshin....for you and you Channel 😂❤
Had they deleted the very strange 'Mister Moonlight' and another cover and replaced them with 'I Feel Fine' and 'She's a Woman', Beatles For Sale' would have been a lot stronger album and challenged 'AHDN' album. Regardless, it's still a fine album even if over reliant on covers. Best cover on the album? 'Words of Love' for me and 'Rock and Roll Music' comes close.
I'm gonna buy really expensive 2014 mono LP of Bealtes for sale. Maybe I'm irrational, but I don't really care.
BTW, thank you for a good review 😊
No Reply, I’m A Loser, Every Little Thing, and What Your Doing are top shelf tunes and “Words Of Love” is my favorite cover they ever recorded. Not a fan of Baby’s In Black, and this version of “Mr Moonlight” is atrocious! A-
words of love is so underrated.
The Beatles For Sale is an amazing album
Let's just say the cover is better than the album. An absolute gem of a cover...
It's a strong album. The original songs are very good, No reply, Baby's in black and I don't want to spoil the party are great. There's nothing bad here.
WHAT?! OH HELL NAW!, STEVIE-BOY YOU'RE ABOUT TO FEEL A PAINFUL LAPSE FROM MY HAND UPSIDE YOUR HEAD! FOH, "Professionalism"! The Beatles did what they wanted, when they wanted, where and HOW they wanted! Anyone who doesn't understand that can FIGHT ME! >:O
--Yes, im just as pissed as you! XD
