    It always amazes me that some planter boxes plant more than others. Great video.

    If that pretty blue/turquoise seed doesn't come up as cotton candy, I'll be very disappointed! If it does, though, I'll be scheduling a road trip!
    I"m glad Nolan asked about the seed rate, as I was wondering that myself.

    I plant Cotton 💭, Ground nuts 🥜 , Chickpeas 🍑, Tomatoes 🍅, Brinjal ( Eggplant )🍆 , Wheat 🌾 and Sweet Corn 🌽every year Also I take some annual crops like sugarcane 🎋, banana 🍌 and papaya 🥭. I have a very small farm land 🏞 of about 7 and half acers and I can understand how it feels when things or equipment break down ⛏🛠⚙, when watering or irrigation 💦💨 takes weeks time 🕝⏳, working up with weed removal 🪴, Pest control of pests 🐛🦟🐞🪲 and fungus 🦠 and variety of other diseases , also I do not have a farm equipment like tractor 🚜or anything sort of tools you have for farming, but I can see the maintenance 🚧🚨🔧⚙ and its cost 💵 that comes with it, also I saw your videos of fixing a water pipe leakage 🪚⛏🚿, cotton harvest and now cultivation too.. also now I understand how you guys in the first world are operating your farm lands and how differently we operate , however there are few similarities like about waiting for rains 🌧🌦⛈ to come and help us irrigate our farm lands naturally... I could write a whole essay now, but I know long comments are hard to read..
    If I can post you a question, I wanted to know that the other box was empty 🟨, I guess it was for fertilizer, as the another one you used was for sowing seeds. so do you intend to fertilize the cotton field by using liquid fertilizers through water irrigation or solid granular fertilizer ??
    Thank you 🙏🙏for making this video and working hard 🦾💪🙌..

    Stoneville 5600 is dang good cotton. I saw it go over 1250 pounds per acre a lot here in West TN last year (900-1000 pounds is a good average in these parts)

      Is that irrigated or dry land

    • @johndycus7800
      @johndycus7800 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Conley Banman dryland

      @john_dycus and @Conley_Banman I need about 1 kg or 2 pounds per acre , however I sow by hand every seedling and I need to spare some space to navigate and I irrigate it through Drip Irrigation and mine is a irrigated farm.

      We plant our cotton at 36k and my grandfather (boss) thinks it’s still a little high population which some people do plant high population though I don’t know how high except one farmer which does 49k population.

      We have an area that has really good water and we always do 60,000 seeds per acre, the stems don’t get as big and don’t clog the headers. But with low water it almost seems like we get better yield with less seeds

    Awesome! Cotton planting time and you guys have a wide range of varieties going on your land...
    Which of the varieties yield the best, and is this time of the year typically the time when you guys plant cotton?

    • @conleybanman
      @conleybanman  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We’ve done best with nexgen, deltapine, and phytogen.
      And we would normally plant cotton a little earlier but this year we were planting peanuts so those get planted first and then cotton

    Interesting video. Thanks for sharing. Is cotton planted in 30" rows?

    • @conleybanman
      @conleybanman  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some people might but we do everything 36”. More people around our area also do 40” due to minimal water.
