I went into my bedroom with none I came out and my son told me "Blimey you look 21 Years Old Mum ..Bathed in the fountain of youth!"I started having people not ID me at 36 Years old i realised life goes fast if anything makes you feel better -Do it my dear Red Hair pale skin !The Sun doesn't like me !Ifs important to me to be happy within my own skin and personally if I tried to do this i would resemble Coco the clown ...

I am always so jealous of anybody with red hair, if you have it I hope you enjoy it, I've never understood people getting ridiculed for having such gorgeous colouring!x
Because people are jealous. It has to be. That and a long time ago, they were seen as demons/bad omens/witches etc, so it probably just kept in tune with that. But even myself, someone who is very ginger EXCEPT my head hair being almost black [I have green eyes, super pale, a shitload of freckles all over, and blonde/copper body hair] I get razzed for being ginger or whatever--always have. Even though I've told people my entire life I'm a brunette, they still think I'm ginger.
@@sarahlennox8963 Some people are jealous. I think red hair just also stands out. I'm a redhead myself, my natural colour is a very bright copper orange. It's very loud. I have embraced it now but I used to be so self-conscious about it.
@@lou5956 That sounds so beautiful. And it is. There is no reason for anyone to make someone feel bad about something their born with, like their colouring. My best friend has naturally bleach blonde hair--white eyelashes, white eyebrows. She's always been self conscious, people were horribly mean to her growing up. I've tried for years to help her embrace it--she is SO gorgeous without makeup, she looks other-worldly beautiful. But she still struggles with how people treated her about it for so long. It's hard when someone is so beautiful and is abused into thinking they aren't..

Yes! I am not even asian, but I would love to see that! I feel like so many asian makeup tutorials are so dramatic that it would be refreshing to see one of Mary's hazy eyeshadow looks!
Have you seen Lisa Eldridge's or Pixiwoo's makeups for asian features, Uyen? They are lovely as well.

Years from now ppl will look back on today’s makeup trends and laugh or be embarrassed. Some ppl though actually have real talent and can make themselves look like anyone and it’s pretty incredible most of them look over made up the natural look will come back eventually. But I guess if it makes them happy no harm but personally I think it’s a waste of money all those products and I’ve never gotten anything even with the minimum to look natural feel like I’m wearing Halloween makeup and my skin can’t breath and looks terrible but that’s me like I said if someone doing something makes them happy and feel good and they are hurting none... have at it
Mary Greenwell is a true makeup artist. same with Lisa Elridge. they do not overdo anything. Mary never changes th natural brows of her clients. she never does them harsh or sharp. no messy contour lines! She does not change a person's beauty, she enhances them! a true makeup artist indeed. just elegance! How come I have just seen her and Lisa Elridge's videos?? Where have I been all these years???
I loved how she didn’t use bronzer, us pale girls don’t normally use bronzer unless we’re tan but normally we just use blush💕
I kind of love how at first it looks like she just cakes it on and you think, "Oh man this is NOT going to look good" but as she works and blends she creates art. I could never do make up that way. Such a unique talent.

That is what I love the most, natural colors. However, as well as kind of coppery red hair, I also have curly hair which is not the main focus of a makeup but something that changes all the style a person, I think.
By the way, I am so happy to see these new videos on pale skin which, I think, pushes the makeup artist to create a more natural look.
When I see a video from Mary I do one of two things: either watch it immediately or save it up so it's not over too soon. She's such an incredible artist - always fascinating and so ingenious. I learn more from her than I do from anybody. She's the absolute master.
This is one of, if not the most beautiful make up tutorials I have seen! I love just watching Mary work.
By far one of the very best examples of perfect makeup for a redhead.
So many times I see unnatural looking finale's for videos for redhead makeup tutorials and this one is perfectly stunning without the fake look of black mascara's and hideous coloring of her face and eyes. Thank you for this! I also want to point out the artists chair-side manor. Professional and gentle which is nice to see.

Thank you for posting this! I’m a 40-something natural redhead, and this eyeshadow pallete represents every colour and shade that I’ve imagined coming across to compliment my light-medium golden complexion. I use Chanel makeup and am now informed of what to go to next! Wonderful.
This might sound strange, and I don't know if there is any hope of this getting to Mary…but:
I would love to see a *truly* *neutral* look on a person with fair skin and dark brown hair. It's so difficult. I don't know how to balance the contrast of my hair to my skin while still looking hazy and monotone!
+emma nelson I have always thought that warmer colors looked lovely on those with pale skin and dark hair... like copper tones.
+mistyaqua True, but it just doesn't give the same effect as this kind of neutral/monotone look that Mary did.
If you use a tone that is a warmer neutral rather than a cooler one, I think that you can achieve the effect - your skin and hair will balance the color out and make it look neutral instead of too cool.

Mary is my favorite pro. I love how she applies makeup, using mostly her hands and creative ways with brushes. The model is just so gorgeous. Love this look on her.
Kudos to get the gloss for having one of the world's premier makeup artists on their channel. I love Mary Greenwell's work, she is such a pioneer in the business. With that said, I would love to see more of these tutorials feature more diverse models, ages and deeper skintones. She is such a treasure and I would love to see her techniques on a wider range of women!

Interesting. Mary broke some of her rules with this look. "Work with skin color and eye color, NEVER hair color." This always puzzled me a bit, since a lot of colors don't look good with my pale blonde hair. She once said that she didn't see the point of brown mascara. I really love brown mascara, so I'm happy to see her embrace it here. Then, with blush, going from pan to hand to cheek - else "you will probably make a mistake." I like seeing the rules broken. I think the end result is just stunning. No one makes up a redhead like Mary Greenwell makes up a redhead.
I have same hair and skin. I would never use anything around the eye that is reddish.
It makes eye look sore even tho it's trendy now it just doesn't quite work for redheads!
My life has now been divided into two parts: the part where I was a confused redhead wearing the wrong color palette, and the part where I finally glow and optimize my natural coloring. The latter part starts today.

@@nalomelimaia what's red stays red, even if it's a simple light shade. I'm myself a redhead, the sides of my head are strawberry blonde and the rest is literally dark red. I used to be a pale orange.
@@danishaf906 I don’t know tbh. My auntie was a redhead as a toddler and over the years, her hair became a dark brown. Ofc, that doesn’t apply to everyone. I’m just saying that some people change colors. My brother had blonde hair as a toddler and now as a adult, his hair is a dark brown. Darker than me, who had brown hair my whole life.

Thank you for the BROWN mascara ... I am a red head and I am always told ...just use black.
And when I use black it looks harsh and cheap
Even drugstore Maybelline has a brown/black mascara, which looks GREAT on us redheads.
For those of us with super light skin, any kind of black eye makeup is just too harsh in the daytime and looks even worse under fluorescent lights. I've taken to using brow mascara on my lashes bec there are both warm and cool color selections, with formulations that act like more of a tint.
The drugstore brown mascara still looks black for me I use a brown eyebrow mascara or Japanese one they make good brown mascaras
I think it depends on your shade of red. I have a really bright copper orange and bright blue eyes, so black works better for me.

Comes to makeup for auburn hair . For years I donned black hair and ridiculous amounts of tan . Thank you so much for this and also thanks for confirming that black mascara doesn’t compliment ginger hair , never knew brown mascara was a thing

this is probably the best makeup I've seen,and i watch a lot of makeup tutorials!! just because its fascinating and I'm also a portrait artist, with a modern style rather than traditional, so drawing women of today i need to get a made up look to my portraits, i don't know why women do the harsh liner and harsh smokey eye, its a ''classic'' but every tutorial I've seen they have never looked better, its just makeup for the sake of makeup, the artist always gets carried away, the whole purpose is to make your self more beautiful, and enhance what u have,
thats why this is such a good video, she's enhanced her beauty she hasn't just gone willy nilly, she was already stunning in my opinion she didn't need any makeup at all, but i think more girls need to try this and less of the crazy dark liner and stuff!

This is what makeup should (in my opinion) look like. Her model's makeup is beautiful and looks effortless. I definitely think just a little bit of each makeup is much more flattering than the caked on eyebrows/contouring you get these days.
