Personnel:
Personnel:
Trey Anastasio - guitar, vocals
Mike Gordon - bass, banjo, vocals
Jon Fishman - drums, percussion, vocals
Page McConnell - piano, acoustic bass, vocals
Guest:
Neil Young - guitar, vocals (on last 2 songs)s.
Summary:
This set is notable not only for being a rare acoustic performance, but also for being the public debut of 3 songs, Sleep, Never and Driver. Neil Young also joins in on "Harry Hood" and his own "Helpless." But the true highlight is a totally a capella version of "Free Bird!" I kid you not. And its the whole damn song - massive guitar solos and all - ALL a cappella! - เพลง
Iconic. This is the best.
I saw this live. Thanks for uploading.
I've had this bootleg since '01, but never got to SEE it! Thanks!
love these guys
18 years after hearing this for the first time and it's still great.
Saw them do this in Columbus Ohio. Waaay back in the day. See you guys this summer
Was there, was epic
I remember hearing this on a bootleg cassette tape deck. Thinking holly fuck this is amazing.
Just Sick!Thanks for the share!!!
Harris should've played THIS for Scott! The podcast would've been one episode long!
A+++
Trey tells the story about how everybody got ungodly ripped on Willie's bus right before this and Neil just kinda wandered on stage. Love that old man and miss the Bridge School / Farm Aid mega-jams with him. Just miss him playing live in general.
awesome shit !
Back when the acid was still good
Fuckin a!!! Haha golden
Not what I expected but okay
Almost high enough to be on pitch.
Diffene nt class
What is the fascination about Phish? My nephew used to follow them around and go to a lot of their concerts, but every video I've seen of them, I just shake my head and go hmmmm....I guess it must have been the acid? I mean really, WTF is this crap? Like, I bet you could take any 4 Skynyrd fans and have them vocally recreate Free Bird and it would be at least this good. I just don't see any talent here. I see 4 nerdlings looking like they stopped playing WoW long enough to escape their mother's basement, then got stoned off their asses and decided to butcher one of the great rock Anthems. Suck isn't a strong enough word for this garbage. SMH
they make better music, this is just funny
Skyynrd was shit. What phish did in that video was comical and amazing. Phish shows wasn’t about the concert as much is was the experience of tail gaiting before the shows and checking out the fan merch. Good weed and good beer every show I went to. Never seen anyone drinking domestic. Always had the local brewery beer. Good times hanging out smoking primo herb eating goo balls and having a blast. That was the 90s. So maybe that form isn’t your style u prefer studio perfect tone and sound. That’s great and all but impossible when playing live.
@@jmalnar62 Homeboy, thanx for confirming that it was more about the "total phish experience" than it ever was about their musical talents (because they suck as musicians). And it appears you still be trippin' from the goo balls or whatever to say Skynyrd was poo...if they were, then why are your heroes paying homage to them? And if anything is comical, it's your post - "checking out the fanboy merch"...please. Go drop some more acid or something. lol
I hope you find humor in your life one day

I feel like I have a great sense of humor and also have pretty good taste in music, and I know crap when I hear it. This is definitely crap.
