Sometimes a change of scenery can have a bad impact on a player. Klay has been comfortable in GS for a while now and he’s at the end of his career, I feel like he could be one of those guys that completely washes up once his situation changes. He may just want to get a bit more pay at this point but he’s unlikely to be Locked In.
For Slightly, can yall do a game of what’s Real and what’s Fake. Where he has to guess whether the news is real or something you made up. Way more entertainment value
It would be a mistake to trade away Josh Green at this point (unless you are getting another promising young player). Green is on the same time table as Luka, and he was one of the few bright spots in the finals against the Celtics. I'm expecting him to explode this coming season, and hopefully make us forget all about the Brunson debacle.
DJJ signing with Klutch Sports, and Lebron taking a pay cut spelled bad news for the Mavs. Dallas isn’t getting DJJ nor Klay. Teams are always using the Mavs as a smoke screen.
Keep DJJ don't get klay, get another big wing more like a forward trade kleber, Powell Keep the roster, don't get stupid again klay isn't consistent anymore
@@5wisher5weet Yeah though quite old and declining and mavs changed their whole season around by replacing THJ with DJJ starting at 3. Now it's gonna be more like prior TDL. Yes they need 3 point shooting. but now theres going to be 3 non defenders starting.
@sherwin009ful just because he was a champion doesnt mean hes not washed lol. That proven champion shot 0/10 in the crucial game. That proven champion has the worst shooting splits in his career last season
If Klay Thompson is a on this team, I am done watching. Didn't they learn anything from the Javale McGee signing? There's no good signing washed vet with anything more than a 1 year vet minimum.
@@Thisisrance I am comparing the signing of the players, not the players themselves. But your iq is probably as high as the 5 years old kid in your icon so I am not blaming you not understanding the difference.
no he’s terrible when it counts. In his last eight PLAYOFF GAMES, high intensity games, the ones that count, the ones we traded for him for, he’s 38 for 128!!!!!! That’s under 30%!!!!! 14-66 in his last four games (21%). To be fair, in the first two games of the LA series in 2023, he was spectacular (14-27 from three) BUT AWFUL SINCE THEN FROM THREE (10-42 24%, four out of five losses). Let’s go back another year. In the championship year he wipes the Mavs out with eight threes (32 points), winning game five and moving on to play the Celtics, where he goes 36-101 (35%), only 5-20 in game six. Draymond, Wiggins and even Jordan Poole CLEARLY OUTPLAYED HIM…..but he was still given credit for a defense led by Green and an offense led by Steph. We are getting the broken Down version of him we saw on April 15, 2024 When he went 0-10 vs the kings. THAT IS SCORELESS IN 32 MINUTES VS SACRAMENTO!!!!!! Lester Quinones, a guy I’ve never heard of, played two minutes, scoring four points. The Kings outscored them 64-44 in the 2nd half. THE KINGS, who subsequently lost to the Pelicans without Zion and scored 20 fewer points. The lesson is simple. Regular season games are bullshit. The only ones that matter are the games at the end of the season when teams are fighting to avoid the play-in tournament and the playoffs, where teams and players truly play defense. In those games…….KLAY THOMPSON USUALLY SUCKS!!!! He’s old, broken down and When healthy, is still inconsistent and unreliable. And we just traded a good young player for the pleasure of watching him s*** all over the playoffs like grandpa after a barrel full of beans.
I hope we don't pursue this super washed-up dude! Then we could have stayed with THJ! 1 good game out of ten offensively but nothing anywhere else! Don't do it DALLAS!!!
@@rolexxx__77 100% not! We can talk after Low Thompson's next season and I hope it wasn't in Dallas then! He showed this year what he can do, and that was nothing!
Klay is way too big of an injury risk to pay a lot of money to. I would much rather offer $$$ to anyone else that can hit threes at or around 40%. Luka is improving his 3 pointer every year and he is 6'7" so why not use him as a SF / PG. Grimes and Green are still decent enough on defense to play defensive SG and Kyrie and Hardy can handle scoring from the smaller poisitions. Lively hits threes so he can side step over to PF while Gafford plays 5 or that new rook we got in Summer League develops. I would bring JS on as a 2 way now and then if he shows more ability you get him a contract and ditch Morris. Grimes hits 3's well so his shooting should be welcome. PJ will continue to improve as well. THJ was paid a lot to miss shots Klay is at the age his whole game drops off. That is a huge gamble and I would run it by Luka because he needs to be in on it if you ask me. DJJ should continue to improve as well. Everyone who played minutes in the finals is going to be a different kind of player next season. That was a growing up experience you cannot get any other way. Luka and Kyrie are the big dogs and Lively is a great option to use as a PF/C Gafford and he are that two headed monster we can play together if needed. Kleber minutes could easily be used withLively. SF is the weakest link right now and we have 3 solid guys with PJ, Lively and Kleber at the 4. OMAX needs to step it up next season and I think he will be the guy we hope he can be. Exum should come back a better player as well. I hate the idea of overpaying DJJ and I would avoid that if possible but we went to the finals with this team. I really want him on this team badly but his shooting needs to improve a lot more for him to get paid like some are saying. Developing youth like we did with Lively is working. Omax is next to get minutes and developed. If that new kid from France can come in and shoot then let him. Internal development is an option and if that 7'5" center on the summer league team is as good as he looked then we have a Mutumbo developing on the team to make it easy to use Lively as a PF. We have depth to develop a team that could be with us for 10 years so keep the youth and see what we have by the TDL. We can make moves with what we have in the future if a situation deveolps where we have a shot at a win now type of guy.

Klay wants the ball most of the time and sulks when that's not happening. With Luka's style of playing he would'nt be getting plenty of chances
