@@tungadilla Yeah sure, since Carpenter isn't as good defensively, he was telling the coaches to take him out and put in a better defensive player. He was only in the starting lineup for his offense but since they were up by so many, they just needed defense at that point.
@@tungadilla It's about being a positive teammate and showing you know how to play your part. Instead of complaining about not getting to play in the game, Carpenter reaffirms that he's ready to see his team win, not just make himself a star.
It's incredible how many good pitches Folty made that either had bats thrown at them and landed for hits or they just didn't swing at. There's not much you can do about that.
Xeneron true. He really didn’t do that bad. But a series of iffy ball/strike calls, some fielder issues, and some good luck bounces turn a 1 run inning into a 10 run inning.
@Hey Mister DJ I mean, Fowler started with a borderline call that looked like it was right on the corner but as called a ball. Fouled a couple off, then didn't swing at two REALLY good backfoot sliders, and Folty missed the last pitch for a walk. Wong Bunted. Goldschmidt has a hard hit infield single. Ozuna's hit is pretty much the definition of throwing your bat at it to protect the plate, that pitch was at his shins. Lol. But it landed for a single. Then Molina hit into the double play that Freddie made the error on (if that's fielded cleanly it's almost 100% a double play, Molina is the slowest player on the Cards). Then against Carpenter it started with a good slider that broken down out of the zone that he took, then a missed fastball (Folty's fastball was missing arm side all inning), then another good backfoot slider that Carpenter didn't swing at, and then the foul, and then an unbelievable take by Carpenter on the slider that just barely broke inside. Most people swing at that, whether they foul it off or not, that's the most incredible take of the inning. Then Edman had the hard hit double. So they scored 4 runs on basically a walk in an at bat that had a borderline ball plus a dropped tip third strike, a bunt, an infield single, a bloop, an error, a walk with some incredible takes, and a double. That was Folty's day. I don't know how you can blame Folty for that.
