Without a doubt....these guys should be in the HOF. There is a Dallas Cowboy prejudice that apparently still exists. Who caught more clutch passes in SO MANY big games than Drew Pearson? Answer is nobody. Who blocked more passes than Too Tall? Nobody.
Yes, and the one of the others would be Lee Roy Jordan. Look at all the linebackers in the HOF and then look at Jordan's resume. He should head the list,
I met Mr. Jones once when I was a kid in the early 80’s and he was a very nice guy. My little sister putted a golf ball over to him by accident and he picked it up and came over to talk with us - the ball looked like an aspirin in his hand.
3x Pro-Bowl selection (1981-1983), 3x All-Pro (1981-1983) ...... had he not retired for one season in 1979 to try his hand at boxing, Too Tall might have been a potential HOFer. Even at 6'9', he suffered from the 'quiet career' syndrome but he was such a force in SB XII against the Broncos & also caused problems for the Steelers in SB XIII. Too Tall dominated like very few DE's ever in the history of the game & along w/Mark Tuinei, Michael Irvin & Bill Bates, one of the few former Cowboys to have played for both Tom Landry & Jimmy Johnson. At the very least, he should be inducted in the Cowboys Ring of Honor & so should Charlie Waters !

He was constantly making plays in big games.
Two Defense End's, Too Tall Jones and Harvey Martin. Both were a pash rusher too dificult to controlled. Both were excellent in their position.
