I live in Kingston and I know this story very well. I was very close to one of Yvonne’s children and I can not tell you how amazing the Rouleau family is. What they have endured, along with the other victims is unimaginable. My heart goes out to all of the victims and their families. Rest in peace Yvonne and may all those affected by these horrific events find peace for themselves. ❤
How could the police ask the mother if she was trying to get anyone in trouble after her daughter was found? What a bizarre question to ask a mother! Anytime someone is threatening you with violence, always draw attention to yourself-scream, yell, and most importantly FIGHT!!! You may be stabbed, but your chances of survival are crucial. Also, remember to get the license plate.
Neither of those men should have gotten out of prison for murdering the lady and he who abused the children should never ever see the light of day again
I was assaulted for 8 years by my mom’s boyfriend at the time. We lived in the muskoka’s in Ontario, he admitted it and only got 30 days, when he was released he was allowed to move back to the property to start doing it again until finally my mom moved us away he got to live into his 70s. My sister and his daughter were also victims of his assaults. This story is so sad Its awful what they endured and our justice system is a joke!!!
I remember the Nozzles Gas Bar case vividly as a member of the victim's family is a friend. But I was not aware that Joyce was later convicted of sexually assaulting the young girls. That's crazy. My friend and I don't really talk much about the murder, but I know she's still haunted by it.
I started at Queen’s in 91 and I was told by my godmother that I was not to work at a gas station under any circumstances even though I had worked at one at home. She told me about the Nozzles incident and I did go look in the station one day after class and told the lady’s spirit that I was sorry this had happened and shed a few tears.
"I believe you..." I too remember those words almost thirty years later .... By then he had died. He was from Saskatchewan and was buried there as an aged old man. And yes... There were more victims.... Many more... Throughout Canada, the USA and Mexico. A huge crime of a so called Sunday school teacher who through the Canadian Justice System never paid for his crime. So many many many times he was reported. Nothing legally was done. When the police came to our door and told my father no charges will be laid... I saw my big strong Dad break and cry. I was 12, my siblings were younger, The other children in the community were so very young too. Why ? Why was nothing ever done so that he could never hurt another child ?
this presenter is SO mu ch better than Nancy Hixt. Ms. Hixt reads SO slowly and as though she's addressing children or persons less intelligent than herself. I find her irritating and actually, it's SHE who sounds less intelligent than I'm sure she must be. I'd love to hear her pick up the pace, and show respect for her audience.
there should never be any hope let alone the "faint one" that exists in Canadian law for such a piece of human excrement to be released early, the system in so many situations seems geared to favor the criminals, how and why this is I am sure mystifies any reasonable person,
the Kingston police were horrible back then and I used to hear of some women complaining as the cops were all for men. As a woman at the time in the military in Kingston I was assaulted by my partner and we lived off base and the cops could have cared less.
He should never be let out. He will offend again.

because they are the police???!!!!
It’s victim blaming. Is someone trying to get back at you for something you did? What a horrible and blaming question to ask anyone!

I cringe hearing that someone is a model inmate, which typically means they are good at hiding their behaviour.

I bet there are other victims, victims that did or didn't survive.
Theres only one way to deal with monsters like this and it has nothing to do with the Courts.......😡
Thank you Nancy, Caryn and the Crime Beat team
Love Nancy in case you don't know she have her own youtube channel.
not Nancy in this one.
They handle every case with such compassion, empathy and sensitivity… Truly meaningful, impactful journalism.
You can’t let a 9 year old walk anywhere alone ever!!!!!
10 years only ? Why

Wow Carrie is so strong for speaking about her ordeal ❤
i lived in kingston back then and i remember this and i was in the military at the time and the kingston police at that time were horrible police.
Indeed. I left at that time due to my own horrific incident and never went back
Over 7 min in I’m enraged. Monsters all deserve to be together permanently in prison. No opportunities to reoffend!
For Kerrie, you are a brave woman. xo

Negative Nelly.
why is the voice over talking over the actual voice? @12:25 this happens a few times in this video
God please protect kids !
Whole life sentence, will be a repeat offender. Healing to the victims.

I could never visit the prison. Why is P4W not a museum?
Because it is going to become a condo. I lived across the road in university.
@crimebeat please check your sound
"braveness"..?
really..?
'bravery', sir.
please. 'bravery'.
allowing criminals like him to the 'no comment' BS is disgusting..you want to plead this.??.ok back in prison for another 20 years ..good bye.
No sexual assault of the gas station victim? Nothing to suggest any connection to the girls abductions and assaults??
