I cringe hearing that someone is a model inmate, which typically means they are good at hiding their behaviour.

Also, they’re not exposed to anything else or have access to anyone. They’re in a controlled environment. Just let them out and see that’s exactly what it is. Oh wait, they already do every freaking day.

I live in Kingston and I know this story very well. I was very close to one of Yvonne’s children and I can not tell you how amazing the Rouleau family is. What they have endured, along with the other victims is unimaginable. My heart goes out to all of the victims and their families. Rest in peace Yvonne and may all those affected by these horrific events find peace for themselves. ❤

How could the police ask the mother if she was trying to get anyone in trouble after her daughter was found? What a bizarre question to ask a mother! Anytime someone is threatening you with violence, always draw attention to yourself-scream, yell, and most importantly FIGHT!!! You may be stabbed, but your chances of survival are crucial. Also, remember to get the license plate.

I was assaulted for 8 years by my mom’s boyfriend at the time. We lived in the muskoka’s in Ontario, he admitted it and only got 30 days, when he was released he was allowed to move back to the property to start doing it again until finally my mom moved us away he got to live into his 70s. My sister and his daughter were also victims of his assaults. This story is so sad Its awful what they endured and our justice system is a joke!!!

I started at Queen’s in 91 and I was told by my godmother that I was not to work at a gas station under any circumstances even though I had worked at one at home. She told me about the Nozzles incident and I did go look in the station one day after class and told the lady’s spirit that I was sorry this had happened and shed a few tears.

    "I believe you..."
I too remember those words almost thirty years later ....
    By then he had died.
He was from Saskatchewan and was buried there as an aged old man.
    And yes...
    There were more victims....
    Many more...
Throughout Canada, the USA and Mexico.
A huge crime of a so called Sunday school teacher who through the Canadian Justice System never paid for his crime.
So many many many times he was reported.
    Nothing legally was done.
When the police came to our door and told my father no charges will be laid...
I saw my big strong Dad break and cry.
I was 12, my siblings were younger,
The other children in the community were so very young too.
Why ? Why was nothing ever done so that he could never hurt another child ?

Many young girls don't tell their parents or anyone if they have been sexually abused or raped. Some as they mistakenly believe they'd be in trouble with their parents as they wrongly believe it was their fault as they hadn't prevented it from happening, plus they are likely threatened by the perpetrator "If they told, he'd know and come back kill them or harm their parents or siblings". Many are left on their own to deal with the mental stress without professional help, as they mature they feel guilt every time another girl goes missing, raped or is found deceased. As a survivor since I just turned thirteen the best thing I did for myself was to report it, as it was a huge release of bent up stress for not reporting it. Although it was twenty years after the fact, thus too late to press charges, the police now had that information, as I don't believe I was his only victim. I no longer have guilt when a girl goes missing and no longer afraid of men with a mustache, in fact I eventually married a man with a mustache. I encourage all victims of rape and sexual abuse to report it no matter how long afterwards as these predators escalate with time to murder.

I don't know what kind of a mother you are to let your DS child to walk all by herself? and the police mistrusting the poor child.
OMG this is so sodisgusting and justice miscarriage on top level. Canada is such a dark place you can't even be heard in a condition of down syndrome.
I still see in Toronto kids going to the lake to swim at a very young age. It's the society that is failing the children not only the mean man. There should bedeathsentence this is still continues because it's "oh mental health" , and that they should be treated for it. Instead of ending this problem Canada is "treating" the problem. So these kind of men will continue on coming.

We're all hearing the mother being interviewed the backgound.
And then just with a little delay, the narrator is presenting the story exactly like what the mother says - word by word.
Either just remove the interviewed with the mother, og let us hear that and removed those words from the narrator's reading.
