Not (yet) unless you're based in Germany! You'll be notified and have to agree to new terms (where you get a new Trade Republic IBAN) once you're eligible for interest >€50K. They'll probably roll it out in countries outside Germany starting in 2025, I'll report on the changes once it happens (based in Austria)!
Amazing video. I have a question about 2 ftse all world etfs and their TER ratio. The Invesco 0.15% vs Vanguard 0.22%. I currently hold a decent chunk of my cash in VWCE and since Invesco is 0.15% I was thinking whether or not to sell or to buy the other one ? I was also thinking of buying VWCE in hope of they lowering it to 0.20% or even less in future but nobody knows. But I also like more Vanguard and I don't mind paying this fees but they do add up the higher the amount. Paying 0.22% on 500k is a whopping 1100euro vs 750euro which is not 'a lot' but it is money that we lose. In this case should we all choose Invesco all world until Vanguard lower their expense ratio ? is it worth the hassle ?
I think it's really personal preference. VWCE is great - don't overthink it. The 0.07% difference in fees is not that big of a deal (if it remains, hopefully Vanguard wakes up at some point), so there is no need to add FWIA if you like to keep things simple with a single ETF!
I have a simple strategy because I had exact same thoughts as you. Invesco is cheaper yet the same, but Vanguard has a huge reputation. So my strategy is one month I buy FWRA another month VWCE. I have no idea if its smart decision, but it helps me sleep well.
Hello Angelo, would you like to make video for those who wants to change from only saving at IBKR to live from dividends? Or just teach us best way how to do it for further and give your advise? Or just start to learn how to do from small steps like to use 10% of interest to spend on important things for motivation to invest more and keeping the strategy.
Angelo, I have a similar case in my family with an investment into some fund by an older person with no wider knowledge about the topic. We'll try to move out from it, but how can I determine what repackaged ETF it could perhaps be? It's maybe the same case like yours, but I don't know how to check it. Should I compare the structure of both products?
If it's expensive, it doesn't really matter whether or not the fund is trying to passively replicate an index or follows an active strategy - it probably makes sense to replace it either way. Since the person is older, it likely contains bonds as well. If you know the ratio, you could compare it to the Vanguard Lifestrategy ETFs: justetf.com/en/search.html?query=vanguard+lifestrategy&search=ALL
Hey Angelo, I recently started using trade republic for the high interest rate and am buying the same invesco FTSE all world as in your video. Now I recently found out that I will be moving out of Austria next year. I don't know if I understand this correctly. But if I leave Austria, my ETFs would be taxed as if it were sold right? Are there good sources to figure out how to file taxes for foreign domiciled ETF that has holdings of companies from all over the world?
You might be able to postpone Austrian taxes (on unrealized gains at the time of your change of residence) until you sell your shares later on, but I haven't had to deal with this myself so I can't tell you the exact process
@@AngeloColomboFi assuming the process of selling my whole position (1 Euro on TR) I am aware that you mentioned in videos that it's hard to file taxes on ETFs in Austria, but do you know any good sources that have a guide on how to do it? Oh, never noticed that function before - you're right 😅 My guess is, it will most likely be a taxable event, as I'm sure IB simply places to orders (once selling one position to cash and then buying the other one right after). Even if it was a direct SWAP, it would likely still count as a taxable sale in most countries
Hey Angelo, been watching your for some time now. Started investing in VWCE based on your recommendation like 6 months ago. I just wish i started a few years sooner... Angelo, my mortgage is 3% and my passive investments are bigger than 3%. At the end of the year, I get between 10k and 20k of savings. Should I invest this 20k in the investment funds, rather than pay off the mortgage?
Yes, but the ECB lowered short-term deposit rates on euros to 3.25% since: www.ecb.europa.eu/stats/policy_and_exchange_rates/key_ecb_interest_rates/html/index.en.html Anyone offering more is either paying the difference out of pocket or taking on significant risk with your money.

I mean i am still investing so i have not fully realized the gains. Looking for your answer. Best regards.
My pleasure! I'm sorry to say, but you're not going to like the Austrian tax system :/
You'll still need to pay taxes on interest you earned (or worst case on internal money market fund movements) on a yearly basis. If you hold ETFs or other funds as well, I recommend watching this: th-cam.com/video/s_UK3n1PVHs/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared&t=463
Angelo you're "Er mejo" on YT
Grazie Francesco! 🙏
Hi Angelo, with which broker do you buy the SPDR MSCI World UCITS ETF (IE00BFY0GT14) - I can not find it at Trade republic. Is the only option IB?
BTW I am evaluating options for child portfolio. Would you record video what is your strategy for child? I would ideally setup strategy (single wide ETF) at Trade republic, set regular payment and forget...
