Hey Dslyecxi, good video. Just dropping by to let you know that the new Jets DLC has added some features to the HMDs that allow it to display the targets and Gun cross properly (fixes the vertical offset created by looking sideways to the symbology). I'll be doing some updates for some HUDs and then push an update for the HMD of RHS helos. Cheers

The one thing I really like about you and crane flying together, especially in an Apache or similar aircraft is that you guys sound like actual Male/Female heli pilots/gunners

Hey Dslysecxi. Don't know where else to post this. Was reading your guide today, found it incredibly useful. My group and I are a small bunch, usually 7-12 people in OPs, and I really wanted to give them some combined arms gameplay but I've always had trouble balancing it. They either melt everything in front of them, or I overbalance and they can't do anything. Your guide (ttp3.dslyecxi.com/11_combined_arms.php) was really helpful in giving me ideas to weave into my missions.

I've got to say, I really like the pip videos. It helps that Crane is a cold blooded killer also... the pair of you work very well.

Hey dslyecxi, I remember back when you uploaded your flight settings art of flight video, you mentioned that you have two different trackir profiles, and I've also noticed that you seem to have your z axis enabled in helo videos. Have you released your current settings? I think that on your website they are still what they were in 2013, but I'm not 100% positive you changed your settings. Can I get a little clarification?

How did Hawg fix the 10kph thing? Ive had the same problem and couldnt find a fix
With all the noise over Dsl saying or not saying "Hog" at the beginning, did no-one else hear him slip it up and say "Hog" circa 14:30? I swear I did.
Nah, that was definitely ugly, just harder to tell since he was being talked over on one of his radio channels
David Porter It sounds weird though. The first syllable sounds very H like in my headphones.
I got no chance of playing ArmA these days, so I have to ask. Is the AGM-114L in RHS still a fire-and-forget weapon as in A2 or is it a bit peculiar somehow?

Love all these PIP videos. The whole section leading up to and around 51:48 was golden, the COY reports, air asset reporting they may have just killed company... The shit you hear on radio, eh?

Loving the PiP, However, if you could edit so we see gunner cam in full whenever there is something fancy happening, like gun engagements etc that would be beast! Love what you do!
after a hiatus of shacktac vids i was a bit startled at the aspect ratio of the new videos. i understand its apparently a monitor upgrade wich is awesome but it makes it "at least for me" very hard to make out text and numbers and finer detail wich was already somewhat dificult on a video. i liked reading out markers text numbers and the like to stay aware as much as possible and the black bars squish the videos down even further making me have to really strain sadly to make anything out. and on my laptop i might as well forget about trying to read anything. probably not a lot can be done and im probably a minority in that regard its just a little sad since it has removed just a bit of entertainment each video brought. still going to keep watching though ^^ just my 5 cents i guess. keep up the good work!

They make up for it later. Taking out the rocket hind while going down was a particularly nice bit of calm control and coordination under pressure.

Nope. We expect people to own up to it and explain what happened so that we're all aware and can avoid it in the future, but that's it. Anyone FF'd is able to immediately rejoin the mission and resume their prior role.

Caelo de Vorago Picture in Picture, or double rendering. it is shown in games like red orchestra where you look through a optic and there is your normal view and then a zoomed in view on the screen. in this case the picture (gunners camera) is in a picture (pilots camera)

Anyone catch exactly what it was that smacked Ugly that first time and made them land for repairs?
Cheezy McCheez looked like a 30 mm he from a bmp/bmd/btr that smacked the left side as the helo was strafing.
Coulda sworn the Russian 30mms used green tracers.. Though, I doubt Ugly woulda survived a bigger hit, so it'd have to be a 30mm.. Still, hell of a shot considering the range and movement.
Pretty sure it was T-72 HE round, could have been BMP-1 or SPG-9 as well though. When air targets are really slow and the ammo configged this way, AI will also use the ammo against hovering air vehicles. Considering thats done in RL, it is reasonable to assume that RHS configged it this way. @ 5:00 someone on net also says that he's got beeing fired at "with something massive". Its nice to see, as in the past the helo's where for the most part untouchable at range, apart from other AIR or ZSU.
