  • Hey All, In this video we get one of our newest trucks. Were naming Marlin. Its a 1965 Ford F100 that is 100% Original. We got this bad boy from the original owner. He had just got it back on the road since its been sitting since spring of 1992.
Thanks for Greg for getting her transported from its farm in Virginia, Down to us in Miami. Once we got her it was time to get busy. We did our Super Clean, Magic Eraser Bath & got it all cleaned up. This truck is in such great condition. All the panels are straight & have such good paint/ patina on them.
The truck features a 240 Inline 6 Cylinder Motor & 3 Speed Standard (Column shift). Its a Custom Cab Model so the interior has all the bells & whistles of 1965.
This truck is looking for a new home so if you in the market. Email me for more info SL@FordEra.com

My Dad bought two Government surplus former Air Force 1965 F100 shortbed stepsides with the 240 6 and 3 speed on the column...drove one from 1973 until 1978 and parted it out to put the 2nd one on the road from 1978 until 1990.
He was in the midst of a body off restoration of the 2nd truck when he passed away in 2001.......He found a 4 speed manual out of another parts '65 F100 and converted the 2nd truck from 3 spd to 4 spd.

Have you ever tried washing the "patina" trucks with soap and water, and then using a good paint cleaner like Wizards, or even Mother's? I think it might od the same thing, but better. I'm impressed you can drive 3 on the tree; most people are like Simmy and have no idea how it works. lol You described how it works well; the same as on the floor, it's just on the column.

That must a late 65 because Ford didn't introduce the twin I beam front suspension until 1966. that truck should be left just the way it is. it's a perfect example of an AWESOME time capsule. with the exceptions of any repairs that need to be done to it. and anything that it needs to get it back to the way it left the Ford dealership in 1965. you have to remember that there are getting to be less and less of those trucks around in that condition every day. soon there will be no more examples like that around, and when they are gone they are gone forever. and no one will be able to acquire one like that again, that in itself makes it very special. that canopy looks very similar to the Alpine canopies. that were made in Washington State during that time period. those also are becoming very difficult to find especially in such fantastic condition. that truck is actually a museum piece, especially because it's a 65 with the Twin I beam suspension and in the condition it's in.
