There was almost always a band playing when we were on our Princess cruise to the Caribbean. We embarked to steel drums playing Calypso music and soon we were sipping our Bahama Mamas while we listened by the pool. It was great! Other bands played most days during our cruise. I'm sure there weren't bands outside on your cruise because of how chilly it can be for many of the Alaskan sea days. We'll be going on our 4th and 5th Princess cruises next year and are already planning at least one more cruise for 2025. Glad you were so pleased with your cruise. We love Princess!
Yes that is true. There was always a band or music being played at the piazza so I loved that. Can’t wait to see what it’s like cruising to the Caribbean with Princess!
We booked a princess cruise! We looked at doing the plus option and it was like another 800$ for the 7 day cruise sooo we are just standard cruisers. The dining would be the only thing that could really sway us but we can pay to go check out the Italian restaurant. Probably have a drink or two but not like every night so idk if the price tag would really be worth it for the bump to plus. We are really excited though honestly and I just hope that it’s as good as I remember and that my husband enjoys it. We got our passports in order and are working on getting set up for green lane to just walk in the ship.
Thanks for the review RacQuelle. It sounds like a better cruise line than most. Especially the medallion technology. All cruises should adapt to this. It sounds like it could be a locator for those who get lost.
Hi, I have been getting caught up on your channel and absolutely love it. I missed liking some so om hoing back to make aure I hit the thumb. May I ask what camera you are using with the stick, is it a drone?
So how do you use your cellphone? U mentioned in a Carnival cruise in the Caribbean about using your phone (Google Maps & checking time)? Do you add an international plan? We have AT&T. Concerned about roaming charges.
You will need to be on airplane mode on the ship. So no usage other than FaceTime or messenger if you have the ships wifi plan. Your phone will connect to cellular at sea if you don’t get on airplane mode and this can be really expensive depending on your carrier. An international plan still won’t cover you while on the water (in most cases) however you’d be free to use your phone once you get on the islands. Some carriers it is free to use text and data while on the islands but may cost 25 cents a minute for calls (unless you have an international plan). We have tmobile and we are able to use our phones free of charge on the islands (text and internet). To prevent roaming charges you’ll just need to be on airplane mode, otherwise you will get charged for roaming. We put our phones on airplane mode as soon as the ship sails away. You can still check the time. I always have a wifi plan on the ship so I can still access Google maps, social media, email, etc.

I found an outlet behind the television. FYI
I’m on the Sapphire Princess and it has a USB outlet on the lamp located next to the bed. Lamps are on both sides of the bed.
Also, there is a DJ and live music on the lido deck as well. This is a Hawaii/South Pacific 32- day cruise.
