- It's finally time for my first playthrough of Batman Arkham Origins, and what an opener! I have enjoyed falling in love with the entire Batman universe, the deep lore and incredible world building that has gone into these games. As always, it's my first look at the game, and I have no idea what direction this story will take.

2:36 If we didn't know this was a prequel to the other Arkham games this moment would've hit harder, especially when they added that flashback of his parents in that alleyway. "Don't add me to the weight you carry," and then Batman immediately adds him to the weight he carries. But it also shows how much that Bruce loves Alfred. He sees his death in the same way that he sees his parent's deaths.
4:15 Alfred is such a badass. He was dead just a bit ago and now he's up and walking around. Giving Batman the motivation to get out there and do what needs to be done.
1:07:12 It's actually explained sometimes in the comics that after Joker fell in the vat of acid that permanently bleached his entire skin white, turned his hair green and his lips red (which you saw in the dream sequence when playing as Joker), it also increased his pain tolerance.
Batman mourning he may have lost Alfred is just heartbreaking it shows how important the people to Batman are and when he fails them it hurts more than any pain. And so this answers why Bane is gigantic in Asylum and City and why he has the IQ of a bag of hammers. Joker is stopped and so begins the years long war between him and Batman. Gordon had a great arc he goes from despising Batman to seeing the hope he gives to Gotham and how eventually becomes one of Batman’s greatest allies. An overlooked game for the reasons you said but story wise it fits with the Arkhamverse.
4:45 this scene never fails to send shivers down my spine. I've said it before, I'll say it again; we can say what we like about glitches and gameplay but damn this game delivers with the cinematics!

I recently purchased a Clayface figure, and he looks phenomenal! I spend at least half hour a day just playing with it and moving him around. Seriously the coolest thing!😮👌🌟

Great prequel despite all the glitches. Apparently there was a planned follow-up to this involving Ra's Al Ghul and Bruce's first meeting and training a young Dick Grayson, but it never got off the ground.

Always upset when an enemy has guns and strong weapons and upset when the enemies go and pick up their weapons after disarming them. Offered combo moves, including ones that permanently break enemy weapons so they can never be used again. Says combos just aren't my play style. I seriously don't understand how you've made it through so many Arkham games without any combos
