One of my favorite videos. Amazing story about Eddie. From near death to taking a 3000+ and still going trip. I almost cried. Also cool that you got to meet your grandfathers town and your family. Please be safe. Prayers for you, Denver and Eddie.
I’m from Southern California, so I know all about Compton. Great video Jake. Your aunt is a lovely lady. It’s fun to hear about our family members who have past on. We all have done some silly things. What a relief when someone you stay with brings the load ahead. Have a great week. 🙏🙏🙏
Hey Jake. Thanks for another cool video. But I would’ve been NOT happy about that dog but if Denver would’ve gave him a kick he would’ve went flying and rightfully so ! I’m impressed also because Mustangs usually don’t let that kind of baloney go on for to long. Anyways - glad you got to visit with family and hear some fun stories !! Pretty soon the fall colors will come out and they are beautiful where your at ! Take care now and I’ll look forward to the next !!! ❤️💯🐴🙏👍 Ps Loved Eddys story also !! What a amazing horse !!
Wow….corn country, for sure! It is amazing how far farmers have come in processing our food. Thank you for the insight! Eddy is such a beautiful horse, and thank goodness he was saved. Bless you for loving him, and giving him such an awesome opportunity! Thank you for sharing his story….and it continues! How nice you will be able to catch up with your family in Oregon, IL. Bless you and your horses for a safe, peaceful journey ahead. Love from Pennsylvania 💕🌷🐻
Eddie is my hero. What an amazing story! You were so close I said it again. You mentioned the Green River. I live so close to that. Happy you got to visit Oregon a nice area. Stay safe and happy riding! Your getting closer to home!
Thanks for the Year of the Mustang! Love the music, the scenery, your family stories, and best of all, telling us about your horses and seeing them on your journey. I'll be 70 and have ridden all my life. I have an adorable, 5yr. flashy APHA filly I trained and ride on the hills in San Diego county. There's nothing better than God and horses!
Hi Jake, welcome back! Glad you got a new video out! I'm excited to watch it. Good luck to you and the horses on the journey. Will be excited to see Bella back. Have a safe travel. Be careful and thanks for all the sharing on the videos. It's beautiful. You do a great job❤

Connecting with family while on your ride is wonderful! Thank you for telling us the story. I have a feeling your Grandad would have been very proud of you.
Hi Jake. Thank you for the lessons on agriculture. That was a cool story about Eddie... he's such a good boy, brave and strong. I wish people would keep dogs like that tied up or behind a fence 😕. See you next week. Be safe. God bless
I've been all over the US many times. Never did I expect to get to see what you've shown us. Thank you, y'all are great at telling this story. Fort Worth checking in.
I always say that everything gets bigger as you go west - how far ahead you can see, the scope of the sky, distances, everything is just on a larger scale. It's eye opening. In the east, the land and trees sort of close you in and everything is closer together.
While riding one day, like a bullet, a German Shepherd came out from an under a lilac bush, at me and my horse! My horse took off - like he'd been shot! Luckily I was resting my right hand on the saddle horn. I managed to grip it, just seconds before I would have came out of the saddle. It was just that quick! Great video! Travel safe, Jake! Lee
What a story of Never Quit about a Mustang named Eddie!! He is an absolutely remarkable horse, a tribute to the spirit of the Mustangs!! Great, informative video! Stay safe & God Bless🙏🏻
And I'm finally caught up! Discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago, and I've been slowly watching your journey. Gotta admit, I'm mighty jealous. When I was a young man, I dreamt of riding the Goodnight-Loving trail with my friends. Never happened, but I'm glad to see you're out there running down you're own dream.
there you are. Was watching for you. I've got google maps out to see where you are as you go. I had no idea about the new grain bins. Wow! And so neat to hear the story about Eddy. All your mustangs are so very impressive! Interesting about your Grandpa too. That's crazy about the dog and how amazing your horses are! Wow. Well, see ya next time. Thanks again! You'll be home before you know it. Hope the weather holds out till then.
That's mighty kind of you to offer but unfortunately you're too far south of our route. We'll be riding along Hwy 20/the Cowboy Trail across northern NE. Thanks so much for your willingness to help us. It means a lot!
Hello, You make it sound like you and your horses made a decision to go on this quest. What are your plans for the horses when you are done their quest.
Oh ya, dogs are the worst! I know what you’re saying, landed afew times on my backside because the horse I was riding freak. Lol Thanks for the back story on Eddie. Be safe my friend, more Prayers.
I carry a gun when horseback, of course, Illinois may take exception to that. There would have been a dead dog. I used to do cavalry reenacting and believe in gunshot training horses.

Excellent ❤
Cheers to Eddie. 🍻 What an amazing story.
I have to sneak in here to make a comment. Sorry stranger 😊
I bet we are related. We should look in to that when you get back here to Utah 😅😊
Great episode! Eddie's story, your grandfather, the grain bin and poetry "the more personality the sky has".
Keep it up!
That is a perfect way to describe the sky, it does have more personality as you go west!

Eddie's story is so impressive. What a remarkable horse. Also I'm glad you got to visit the town where your grandfather lived.
Great video, Jake. Thank you. If your route takes you near Polk NE, let me know and I can hook you up with places to stay.

I just found you and I'm loving your adventure.
I've had horses all my life. Super Eddie and you 😊❤ Linda from Missouri 🤗
Your channel just came across my feed. Very cool videos. Keep on a rolling!!
That is a great back story. That is what they call “mustang strong”. Have you considered visiting and mustang sanctuaries??
If I may ask, what’s the rescue in CO Springs you got Eddy from? I used to live there so maybe I’ve heard of them.
I got Eddy from Elite Equin Recue and Rehab in CO Springs.
